A Park Retreat (Ashley, Tag Alex.)

Ashley grinned, "Like father like son you know, one of my favourite foods so of course he was going to like it. Which two year old wouldn't like ice cream." Ashley said to her. "Besides a little ice cream goes a long way in our house, you can get to the Bolton men's hearts with a bowl of good ice cream you know." he said to her.

"My car is a couple of minutes away, and I've upgraded from the old VW which lets face it was an old rust bucket twenty years ago. We needed something that would get me through college and keep this guy at school when he is old enough to go to school that is." Ashley added with a smile. "Okay you lets go get you fed... your mother will kill me if she thinks I don't feed you enough you know." Ashley said to Kai.

He led the way out of the park back to the car park, "Its not exactly the best car on the market but I just need something that gets me from a-b and doesnt need a hammer to get started in the morning." Ashley explained as he opened the back door and placed Kai in his booster seat. "You may not like it but your going to have to sit still so I can do your belt up." Ashley said to the fidgeting boy who pouted at him he wondered whether he would have trouble with him tonight but that would come later.

"This should probably be a quick dinner, his getting tired." Ashley said as he opened the passenger side door to rummage in the glove compartment for a dumby. Sucking it clean he handed it to Kai in the back seat who put it straight in his mouth. "Dinner for three coming up." he said.

"If I am to remember this correctly. Our first date ended with a horrible ice cream incident." Alex said laughing, remembering how nervous she had been on the first date. Ashley had asked her out for ice cream and she was so nervous that she dropped the ice cream all over Ashley. Alex had been positive he would not ask her out again. Thank god she had been wrong. "I have learned how to hold onto the ice cream cone since then. i promise." Hence why ice cream from them on was in a bowl and not a cone when it came to Alex. "What is Kai's favorite flavor." Her's was still rocky road. Assuming Ashley remembered that. he did introduce her to it.

"Kai is a twig, of course you do not feed him enough...right Kai." Kai shook his head smiling. "He agrees with mommy." She said smirking, "I am glad you received a new automobile. I have yet to get one, but I am still not use to the whole right side, left side of the road...America still amazes me at times." Yes she knew about that since she lived in New York, but still she had yet to get use to it. "It's a lovely automobile. I never did picture you with some fancy car. This suits you." Alex coo'd at Kai as Ash tried to buckle him in.

"We can go through..oh whats the name...a drive thru correct...we can get something that way...perhaps eat at my place for a bit, so then you can be on your way. Poor guy must have had a long day, no wonder he is always tired when I get him..you wear him out." Alex said laughing quietly. "He really is precious. We made a cute child." She commented. They had been a good couple once upon a time. Perhaps they could be that way again.
