Being a somewhat meager fan of soccer (he had played when younger at the behest of his friend Patch), Kian had planned on attending this exhibition match. He considered canceling when Patch was pulled from the team after being framed for the brouhaha regarding the principal's car, but decided instead to attend to make a statement. Armed with blankets, picnic basket and pillows, Kian made a comfortable viewing area near the boy's goal and waited as he texted Connor to summon his boyfriend to join him. He stood and pulled a sign out to plant nearby that Stated in bright colors "Where's Patch?" and then another. "Framed by the man, Patch!" He continued putting signs around the playing field with various statements of protest. After he was done he returned to his seat and sprawled out to listen to his mp3 player (Patch approved brand) while he waited for the players to take the field. He waved to various acquaintances when they caught his attention, but otherwise just chilled out in his little domain. He didn't plan on showing enthusiasm. After all the best player was missing and this was just a play match with girls and Kian sadly was a bit of a misogynist except when it came to his mother and sisters.

His plans for the afternoon were very much on the quiet side, and while Connor sometimes enjoyed those sorts of afternoons, spending most of them holed up in his dark room, this afternoon he was craving company. So his mind wandered to his best friend, and to his boyfriend, and before he could make up his mind about who to call, Kian got in first. Worked out perfectly .
So he happily made his way to the soccer field, not being a massive fan of the sport, but looking forward to Kian teaching him the finer points anyway. Connor navigated his way past a few colourful signs protesting a certain player’s absence, grinning to himself as he was fairly certain he knew who was responsible for the signs. After everything he had heard that day, and knowing (through his boyfriend) how much Patch loved playing soccer, the Irishman was fairly certain that his new friends weren’t responsible for the prank. So he could only imagine how annoyed they all were at getting punished for it, especially Patch.
He finally found his way to Kian, realising the guy hadn’t yet spotted him in return, nor heard his approach, thanks to the earphones in his ears. So being careful not to scare him, Connor made his way over to the blanket, sprawling out besides his boyfriend, reaching over to kiss him lightly before pulling out an earphone. “Nice signs.” he commented with a grin, before noticing the basket. “What did you bring?”

Grinning up at Connor, Kian reached up to thread his fingers through his boyfriend's dark curly hair and pull him down for another kiss, one deeper and more intense. "There is fruit and cheese an crackers and a bottle of sparkling apple cider and fudge brownies," Kian listed the basket contents with a chuckle, knowing the brownies would be a big hit at least. Connor could always be won over with chocolate. There was plenty of everything in case their friends joined them. "Is Julia coming?" He thought it would be nice to get to know her far away from a computer so it wouldn't just be the roleplaying game and Connor that bound them together. Kian pulled himself up to sitting and reached into the basket to pull out the cider. "Want some?" he asked as he pulled the cork and poured some into a cup for himself. He believed even sports were bearable with the right food and beverage.

Connor tried to muster up as much interest as he could at the mention of fruit and cheese. It wasn’t as though he didn’t like either, he did, very much, it just was that they weren’t the types of foods he could bring himself to get excited about. Fudge brownies, on the other hand, was exactly the kind of food he could get excited about, and his boyfriend knew that well. “My favourite.” he grinned cheerily, and though he was still kind of breathless after their last kiss, leaned over to give Kian another one in thanks. He loved his chocolate.
“No, I don’t think soccer would be her kind of thing.” Connor admitted cheerfully with a laugh, not quite able to picture Julia standing on the sidelines, cheering players on. It would be something he would like to see though. Then again, he wasn’t one usually interested in watching a game from the sidelines either. But there were brownies! It was a perfect incentive to keep him there. “Maybe we’ll find something less sporty to do with her next time.”
He nodded as he sat up himself, grabbing a cup to hold out to Kian as he poured the cider. Now this game just might be good, with the right food and definitely the right company. “So, now that Patch isn’t playing, are we going for any team, or is this a full out protest?” he asked, taking a lazy sip of cider as he watched.

"Full-out, booing and hissing when appropriate," Kian said with a grin, "besides the other team is the Silver girls and they wouldn't be any fun to root for." Even in a case like this, Kian couldn't force himself to choose girls. He poured the cider for Connor and then a glass for himself before grabbing some grapes to munch on.The day was warm and Kian took the opportunity to shed his shirt. The boys took the field and he began his protest, booing and hissing and calling for Patch.

“Sounds good to me.” Connor laughed, glancing around to see if he could spot Patch anywhere nearby. Though the guy couldn’t play, he figured he’d still be around to watch, and support the rest of his team mates. But the Irishman couldn’t see him anywhere, nor Evan. Where one was, the other was usually close by. Then he looked around for candy, where that was, Evan (and so of course Patch) usually was. But there was none of that to be found either. He couldn’t help but think that was a bad sign. If both guys were quiet, it usually didn’t mean good things. “I’ll try my best to deliver on my part of the booing and hissing.”
He sipped his drink slowly, watching as the game started. He didn’t understand the complexities of the game (if there even were any, it seemed all straightforward to him, even as uneducated in sports as he was), but he knew enough to try to enjoy it at least, as well as being able to throw in a few jeers at the appropriate times. Each time was trying to kick the ball into the other team’s goal, or whatever it was called, pretty simple.
Admittedly, it was a little harder to pay attention to what was happening on the field once Kian took his shirt off, but Connor thought he managed to pull it off well enough. Most of the time anyway. As his boyfriend nibbled on grapes, he turned his attention to a much more deserving brownie instead. “Mmm, these are really good. You have to try it.” he insisted, settling down to lie on his stomach before holding out the brownie to Kian.

"Boo! You rotters ain't worth nothing without Patch!" Kian yelled at a missed pass off. Rolling onto his stomach he nibbled the brownie out of Connor's fingers, licking the fingers clean after. "mmm you're right, they're great," he murmured thinking the fingers made them more awesome. "You're going to have to help me work the brownie off later. I have to film tomorrow." Personally he found the situation win-win. Chocolate and his favorite activity. The sun brought out red and gold highlights in his curly hair and glinted off his golden skin. "Oh I received an invitation to a party for tomorrow night at Haley's house. Want to come? We're supposed to dress like Gods. Not sure why she invited me unless she was short on gorgeous men." Truly he figured everyone was invited.

He had almost expected Kian to refuse the delicious chocolatey treat, knowing the effort his boyfriend put into being good, so it was a bit of a surprise when he took Connor up on the offer, grinning as his boyfriend made sure to clean after himself. “I told you, I do have good taste.” he chuckled. He ran his eyes over the rest of the brownies, considering another. He didn’t have the same aversion to fatty foods. Not when they tasted so good.
Taking another sip of cider, he almost coughed at what Kian said next, before grinning brightly when he managed to recover. “Well, if you insist, I know how important it is for you to look your best, so I’ll put in all the effort I can in helping you out with that. He reached out and ran his hand affectionately along Kian’s back. “How is all of that going anyway? The show? I’ve been meaning to drop by and watch you sometime.”
Connor knew of the Haley Kian was speaking about, and shared his surprise about the invite. As far as he was aware of, they weren’t friends, so he was obviously curious about the reasoning. “That must be it. And instead of inviting me like she wanted, to make it less obvious, she invited you with the hope you would drag me along.” he teased, leaning over to share a soft kiss. “Sure, I’ll be happy to go. On the condition that I get your help with the costume. You’re really much better at that than me. Just don’t get too carried away.” he laughed.

Kian almost purred as Connor's hand moved over his sleek skin. "Well I was planning on asking my sister Moira or Aunt Maeve as they are costumers, well Moira is learning how anyway and I think this will just take a sheet and some safety pins so she can't muck it up too badly. The show... it's going good. The first show is July. I hope that it gets a reasonable following so we get another season. You could come tomorrow and then we can go to the party, if you want to." Kian was a bit nervous at the thought of Connor watching him act, but he would never say no.

“Ah, so a toga sort of thing, you’re thinking.” Connor mused, not bothering to hide his grin at this. “You would look hot in a toga.” Or out of it, but there were too many people around for him to say that. He was more than happy with big ‘ol public displays of affection to some extent, but he still on occasion got a little shy and modest. He was a good Catholic Irish boy after all. Or at least, raised to be. “Just, if you have Moira do it, be careful if she makes you wear it when she adjusts it. I mean, you, Moira and safety pins, not the safest mix.” he teased. “Just be careful where she’s poking.”
“I’m sure it will, it sounds like a really good show. Besides, I happen to know for a fact that a talented, and in my opinion really hot actor stars in it, so I’m sure it’ll be fine.” He reached over his boyfriend, deciding that maybe the grapes were worth trying, and he grabbed a few, holding the last one out to Kian. “Sure, I’d love to come tomorrow. I reckon I can sneak it in.” he chuckled. “As long as you think you can put up with me for a whole day.”
