One good thing about living with Isaiah was the fact that at least she did not have to hear over and over her father's speech for his church. Oh how annoying that had been. Plus the fact she had her ways of getting Isaiah to skip church, well maybe he was not as much of a Saint as mommy wants him to be. Raven had to admit it was fun seeing just how she could push her supposed hubby to be. Raven looked at the ring. It actually felt nice to be wanted. For a moment Raven actually felt something..was it happiness perhaps...guilt maybe..nope just a little morning sickness. Or so Raven convinced herself.
No way was she going to have feelings for the little runt. She would give him his marriage fantasy right now, but that did not mean she would play the good little fiance. In fact rave was already playing that role by disagreeing with mommy dearest. If Isaiah's mother wanted white counters, Raven asked for granite. If she wanted doves at the wedding, Raven wanted none. Mommy dearest apparently hated this whole thing. Apparently Isaiah was suppose to be a priest. He was not very priest like in their room.
Right now Raven had stopped by a flower shop. Mommy dearest wanted her to pick out some arrangements for the center pieces. Raven said no to all of them, and then ordered different once. Just for fun. She took a flower with her to go. A sunflower. Her favorite. it always made you smile. The bright color. As she left the store she picked at the petals. Does he love? Does he love me not? What a fun little game. Until it ended on "Does he love me....wonderful...apparently everyone wants me marrying this kid but me?" As she said this she was unaware that someone was standing right behind her and could hear the whole thing.
But could they also hear her voice falter, when she said it. Did she really not want to marry Isaiah? Or was she starting to actually like her fiance....

Isaiah groaned as he pulled up into a crunch, his tanned torso gleaming with sweat . He was in the playground across the street from where Raven was meeting with the florist. He hesitated, but Raven seemed to be talking to someone. She didn’t have much time to herself thanks to his mother so he was leaving her be as much as possible. He wasn’t sure if that was appreciated or not, but he knew he could really use some free time himself. Hence he was hanging out in kiddie parks and working out instead of doing it at home. He didn’t mind. He liked kids, but he would rather be with Raven. He really likes her when she relaxes and forgets to keep hating him. H likes the sex too though he would never say so, but he is a guy even if he may seem too stiff for real life at times. He stood up and began to do chin ups, still keeping an eye on his pretty bride. She had a tendency to get into trouble if left on her own for too long. Isaiah also had a Knight in shining armor complex. He couldn’t resist rescuing a damsel and Raven was his even if she pushed the boundaries of the definition. He grabbed his towel and stood up to wipe himself off some. Ignoring the cougars at the coffee shop, he pulled on his jacket and stretched as he prepared for running. Isaiah had his schedule and Raven was the only one allowed to pull him from it. He gave her one look that would have made many girls sigh if they had seen it AND ran off,

Raven knew Isaiah was in the park. She was not allowed to go any where really without someone else. Mostly cause her car had been confiscated by her father. All because his daughter was living a sinful life. What could Raven do to not live a sinful life? Nothing. Even when she got married it would be too late cause she was pregnant. Her fault of course. She did drug Isaiah and sleep with him. The thing that really got to her was how Isaiah could still want her after that? It amazed her, and made her heart flutter every time she thought about it.
Raven caught the look. Did he look good? That body, not to mention he was quite alluring in bed. Isaiah was the good guy and she was the evil witch that had him under her spell. At least that's what his mother thought. Either way part of Raven was actually enjoying all this cause for the first time in years the fuss was all about her.
She was not being ignored and there was not woman claiming that she ruined her life. Words that still affected Raven when she saw other mother's with their kids. She glanced around the park. All the mothers and their children of various ages. Even some too old to be at the park. Still it hurt to know her mother has thought she was more of a burden then a joy to have. It made Raven touch her stomach for a moment and wonder would she feel the same.
Raven was determined not to, but the words like mother like daughter found their way inside her head and it made her oddly emotional. Not even the great and evil Raven was immune to having her moments when the wall seemed to crack. She saw Isaiah about to run and beckoned for him to come to her. Sometimes when she felt like this, to make it stop she needed to remember how evil she was and how she trapped such a great guy.
Because if she did not stop is feeling of emotion well...she just might end up actually feeling something and spilling about it...of course that could not happen...could it? I guess it would depend on if she could pull Isaiah from his run and over to her....Raven caught his look and smiled as she still motioned for him to come to her.

Isaiah immediately shifted focus when Raven's dark eyes caught his. He turned and jogged across the street, aware of other eyes, unimportant ones, following his motions. He came to a stop in front of Raven, his dark eyes scanning her with a hint of worry. "Are you tired? Would you like a drink?" he asked solicitously. She wasn't carrying packages or he would have taken them to the car for her. "Is everything all right?"

Raven smiled as Isaiah made his way over to her. "Such a good fiance." She teased him. Raven eyed his torso. "I hope you know, I should be the only thing that makes you that sweaty." She had scene him over in the park with the towel. Her fingers played with his skin. Raven did like the fact she had someone all to herself. it worked well when she was frustrated and tried to bring out the bad boy in Isaiah. She did it too. Sometimes. She got him to be feisty in the bedroom.
"I was just looking at the other moms and their kids in the park." She shrugged. "I highly doubt that will be me. More like you will be bringing the kids to the park." She commented. Raven hung onto his jacket pulling him closer as she spoke softly. "Why have you never asked about my mother? I mean, you barely ask any questions about me, yet you want to marry me. Shouldn't you be asking those questions...trying to get to know me." Of course Isaiah could always come back with some comment about Raven and not telling the truth, but she was actually being serious.
"Your faith that this marriage is going to be a lasting one is quite intriguing." She had to admit it. How could Isaiah have such faith that she would not run away, cheat or something else along the way. She could. But this was the first time she felt accepted, so just how could she hurt the man who made her feel that way.

“It’s my high metabolism releasing the heat building up in my body. It’s a good thing normally, but not so good on formal occasions”, he quipped, looming over her a bit to catch her reaction. He had discovered that she liked him hot and sweaty. Sometime he indulged himself by taunting her with it. Not that he withheld himself from her. He enjoyed it too much himself to be petty. It was a nice feeling to be wanted.
“I figure when you are ready to tell me about her you will. The memory doesn’t seem to be a pleasant one. I don’t talk about my mom unless forced to,” he said with a chuckle as he leaned against the florist’s wall. “I could use a water, would you like something?” He asked as he spied a drink cooler in front of the pharmacy. He just as easily pushed himself upright and made his way in that direction. “When you’re ready to tell me about Marissa Manning you will.” He was curious, but he could wait, Raven wasn’t the kind of person that kept secrets indefinitely. They perked around inside her like coffee beans till she poured out her life like fragrant coffee. Inspired, he wrapped a strong arm around her and pulled her closed for a warm passionate kiss. “Thank you, Raven,” he said, his voice vibrating with strong emotion. “My life is so much richer now that you’re in it.

Raven was vain. She did like the way Isaiah looked. He was half picked for the bet cause he looked good, the other half was because of his devotion to god. Too late now. Isaiah was definitely not ready for priesthood. Was that Raven's fault? Hell yes it was. Either way that was then and this is now, "I am beginning to realize you are not going away." She smirked and kissed him back as he said his life had become richer. "You are blind to say that." Raven's biggest problem is she had no faith someone could love her this much. Isaiah was proving Raven wrong and it was working. That wall for him was becoming easier to break.
With of course cause Raven to want to fight it, but right now. In this moment as she watched the gruesome but only cause it reminded her of what use to be. When she was happy with her mother and then it all went to hell when she was ten. Raven was standing in Isaiah's arms at the pharmacy. She stole his water so she could take a sip, then she handed it back. "Actually I need to get out of the sun. I am suddenly I am not feeling well. Oh and food would be good." Mostly Raven was feeling sick at the sight she saw. She was also dealing with morning sickness and cravings.
Raven eyed the inside of her wrists for a moment the scars that were there from the year before when she tried to kill herself. It just brought it all back. Seeing the happy kids and their mothers playing, combined with Isaiah's words of love some how was brining out a rare side in Raven. Everyone had their week days. The day when there trueself came out only to be replaced the next day. Well this was that rare day for Raven.
"My mom left when I was ten. It was mess to say the least. It was a mess before that." Raven started to say.

An ache pierced Isaiah's chest at Raven's admission of her mother's desertion. "That sucks," he whispered and ran his hand down her slim back. "unfortunately parents don't come with guarantees. God doesn't have a tech department. I hope that I can help as we go along. My cookies suck, but I can get brownies on the way home and we can talk about boys and makeup if you want or my sister can take my place. You'd be surprised how far I would go to make you happy Raven. I love the way you feel curled up against me like a kitten. There is no better feeling." He rubbed her back soothingly.

"Well see when I was a kid things were fine...I guess everything is like gumdrops and roses when you are a kid...look at those kids at the park. Not a care in the world until you grow up." Raven said a tad bitterly. "Anyway, my mom had an affair, and my dad found out. You would think logically a divorce would follow, only my dad being a Ravened does not believe in divorce. So you can imagine how things went for the next two years until my mother left...not so good." She told Isaiah. Cause Raven was in an odd mood. He better not get use to it. She had a rep for being evil...yet Isaiah waking it hard...stupid man.
"She left finally, my dad still has not divorced no matter how many times she sends the papers and some how its all my fault. My dad blames me for my mom leaving, so if you think he is going to be in our lives forget it. Unless its to make me pay for my sins, the most he will do is preach about how I am a sinner and I corrupt the good in this world. As for my mother, she basically said that I was the reason things went so badly for her. She never wanted kids. Two years ago I couldn't take it and..." She showed him the scars inside her wrists. "...so if you think I am going to be a good parent you are mistaken. With genes like that I am doomed. Just warning you."
Raven laughed actually when Isaiah said he enjoyed having her curled next to him. It was sweet. "You just like the sex and there is no fear of getting me pregnant so you don't need to wait for a condom. Although I do kind of enjoy sticking it your mother." She smiled at him. Raven stopped for a moment and leaned over whispering in Isaiah's ear, "I kind of like it too cause...then I get to be real evil to your body....like this." She nibbled his ear lobe. She just could not help herself.

"I am kind of hoping that because your parents have been jerks, you might treat our kids better. If not they will have to be like me and be grateful for dad. I can't force you to be good to them, but I can be there for them as a substitute," he said, lowering his head to kiss her throat. His dark eyes softened to milk chocolate when she spoke of her cutting herself. "You didn't have me then, Raven. We're a team now and I won't desert you," he said, sliding his hand down her arm and capturing her wrist so he could press his lips gently against the scars. "And I will let you in on a secret. I love it when you get evil with my body." He blushed, though it didn't show easily under his dark complexion.
