"I don't know my past life yet. I have not taken that journey. But based on what I like and my love of Native American culture. I would not be surprised if it has something to do with that. Maybe I was a Native American woman, someone creative and powerful." She thought. It sounded nice actually. Or maybe she just loved Native American Culture and it had nothing to do with her past life. Sarissa did not know.
"Giving me permission to call you anything means I can call you anything. Like Mem' en gwa or Nee'gig..." Sarissa said laughing. The first one meant butterfly and the other meant otter. She could not help but laugh. "And you don't even know what they mean. I think Nee'gig suits you better." She smiled. "Thats my nickname for you...but if you ever came to the reservation then they have to give you a name to. When I go up there I am not Sarissa, but Mohini." She explained.
"Someone how I have a feeling you are a fast learner. But I would be honored to go horse back riding with you. The one good thing about a horse is at least he knows the path. So I doubt you would get lost either way." It was true. Horses were know for going the same path once the learned it and would never deviate from the path. At least thats what she heard.
"Spoken like a true nice guy." Sarissa bit her lower lip for a moment. She thought about her answer. "No...you have yet to see my bad side." She winked. "My bad sides tends to be more adventurous." She commented. "It can always be enticed out. If some good guy needs a little corruption and a little fun."

Nee'gig... Not that he knew how it was spelt but he committed the word to memory. Google was a great source of information and if anyone would know the meaning it would be that search engine. Christophe highly doubted he'd find it to be insulting as Sarissa seemed a genuinely friendly girl. Likeable. "An adventurous bad side?" Christophe's eyes glinted with amusement. "That sounds like a very dangerous mixture. Hopefully one day I will see it emerge but yes, we must go horse-riding together." Maybe Lia also liked to ride? He would ask her when he saw her next.
He leaned over and speared another piece of pasta. "This is very good," he commented. Far better than the cheese sandwich he'd quickly prepared that morning virtually on his way out of the house. The same cheese sandwich that sat inside its clingfilm wrapper at his other side. The birds would be sure to appreciate it when he scattered it on his way back inside the main building.
They ate together in companionable silence... a silence broken only by the sound of ambient chatter emanating from those students nearby and the odd chirp of a bird or two located in the tree above them. All in all it made for a very pleasant lunch break but all too soon the fternoon bell sounded. "Surely not already?" he said in surprise. "It feels as if we only just began lunch." He brushed his hands down the front of his shirt, preparing to scramble to his feet. "Thank you, Sarissa, for your company, lunch... and my nickname!"

Sarissa just smiled. An evil gleam in her eye. "Let's just say I know how to have fun that does not invovle being behind closed doors. I could really use someone to corrupt. If you are interested." She smirked. Christophe may make a very interesting friend. She really did not have enough. As cute as he was, Sari was not interested in jumping his bones. But he sounded like he had a curiosity to seek adventure and Sari could use someone who was not afraid to back down.
So hopefully when she suggests night water skiiing or a random day trip to go hiking, he would not refuse. If he did. Oh well so be it. "Perhaps if I can really intrigue you I can take you to the reservation....maybe." Sari never made that offer. Hence the maybe.
"You have my mom to thank. One of the very few things she is good at." Yeah Sari was not about to go there. Lunch had been more enjoyable then she thought. "Just text me when you feel the need to get some fresh air. I would gladly be your guide." Sari was not the most experienced horse back rider, but she loved it. The great outdoors was almost like a whole other home for Sari. "Nothing beats riding through the woods to a clearing over looking some sight in LA. Maybe I will take you out to the Hollywood sign." It was an option.
Sari was not ready to see lunch end. "I think they shortened lunch." She began to pack up her things. "So I guess I will see you around Nee'gig. Remember don't be a stranger. I am also a good listener if you need it. " She stood up and leaned down to begin to grab the blanket.
Wrapped...thanks for a good thread Fryn...I think Sari and Christophe will be good friends
