Though Evan didn’t really understand the appeal of soccer, despite Patch’s many efforts to sway him to love the sport, he did understand just how much his friend loved it. He did go to watch him play of course, that was what friends did, and it was cool to watch, especially when he could cheer and carry on like an idiot for his friend on the sidelines. That was always fun. So of course, he felt pretty bad at Patch being benched for the remainder of his season, especially knowing his friend’s plans for college. It made it even more important now to find a way to prove they didn’t do it, not just to get him out of nursing home and locker room duty now. They had to get Patch back to playing! How else was Evan going to act like a crazed sports fan?
With Patch agreeing that his idea was good, it made Evan more certain that it was. After all, both of them couldn’t be wrong. And they had awesome ideas in the past, so there wasn’t any reason why this one wouldn’t be awesome now. It just made sense. He and Patch were the school’s best prankers anyway, everyone knew that, so any ideas that they came up with = awesome. Though he was really annoyed for getting blamed for something he didn’t do, and coping the punishment for it, he still had to admit, Aly and Jasper’s prank was brilliant. Still, he and Patch were the best, and with the help of their friends, they were going to retain the title. Besides, everyone else thought that they had done the car thing too, so at least no one else knew they’d been one-upped. “Yeah, it’s our reputations!” he agreed with his friend.
“Well, I could, but I don’t reckon she’d buy it coming from me.” Evan decided. Not that he could really blame his girlfriend’s step-sister, if she was him, and he was her, he wouldn’t believe anything she said too readily either. Cause she’d be him and he would be her, and that would mean she was awesome, and he was bitchy. So he was glad that he was in fact himself. He also had to admit that Brit was right, she might not be able to pull off the plan. She was too honest. He really liked that about her.
Mal also had a point. He and Patch really didn’t want people to know that someone topped them, especially when that someone was Aly and Jasper. To be beaten by those two looked really, really bad, so maybe they should keep that little bit of info to themselves. It did mean that it would be less likely that their punishments would be revoked though, so he and Patch would have to put their heads together and try to come up with a way to get him back playing.
Aly with green hair would be awesome. “Would it be mean to shave off all of Aly’s hair?” he wondered aloud, before answering his own question. “Yeah, probably, but it would be funny. But alright, alright, I won’t do it.” Evan chuckled, catching Brittany’s reaction. She really was too nice. Mal’s idea of humiliating them was tempting, both targets seemed a little too obsessed with their reputations and what others thought of them, so that seemed the way to go. And Zac’s idea of changing their clothes seemed like a good start.
“I remember the cheerleading outfit.” he told Zac, laughing at Brit’s expression. “What, you can’t blame me. You looked hot.” he told her. “But yep, let’s just really embarrass them. And what if we keep doing like, little tricks on them? Wouldn’t it be worse for them to have it long and drawn out, like their clothes mixed up one day, the Superman undies in Aly’s bed for another. You know, I reckon I could get a positive pregnancy test from the hospital. We could scare Jasper.”
