"Yep," Lily said, feeling sort of proud. He seemed impressed. And that pleased Lily. That had been the point after all. She usually didn't brag about what she did. In fact she usually didn't say much about it at all. But there was something about Jay. He wasn't only good looking but he was obviously really smart. He was tutor, most guys like him wouldn't have bothered trying to help anyone else out. Of course she had no idea that he had been ordered to be there, but Lily didn't know that.
"Right," she said, "I know I probably butcher half of the too," she admitted, pushing her hair behind her ears. "So, should we like...start?" she asked. She found herself actually not minding the fact that she needed to be tutored. Was she going crazy? Or was this Jay guy just that good?
She smiled when he asked about the other competition, blushing a little. "Well, that competition didn't have like metals like the x-games did, but I got first there too..." she said. "In women's half pipe that is, I entered this other competition there too--for practice, where you do tricks while like snowboarding down the mountain, but I only got third in that one because I messed up on one of my jumps," she told him. She didn't really mind though, half pipe was her thing, not the other competitions.
Lily didn't know enough about Jay to know the way he was or his games. She didn't know about his different categories for girls or anything like that. She just knew that she was enjoying talking to him and he was good looking and making this whole tutoring thing less bad.
