Kristen was glad both girls answered her questions. It meant they were listening to her and it felt nice again to have people who cared about what she said . Kristen really didn't know much about sports but Basketball she knew a lot about. Hey maybe next time they could all shoot some hoops. Kristen was a girly girl but she really wouldn't mind shooting a ball or two every now and then.
Kristen did notice something funny though both girls were looking at each other. Then Kristen noticed Kayla looked at her next. Kristen was not into girls but she heard it was fun to experiment with the same sex. Kristen friend Isabelle had told her that. Either way Kristen replied, " Sure we can go to a sport store." Kristen needed some news sneakers anyhow. Kristen was so glad she had people to hang out with. Going to the mall alone wouldn't have been very fun.
Kristen told Kayla though that she was from Italy but that she had been at Gould since her freshman year. Kristen told both girls that she had moved the beginning of her freshman year because her dad had gotten a new job here as a hotel manger at the Marriott. Kristen even told the girls that it had been a difficult move because she had to leave a dear friend who was very close to her. Kristen couldn't even believe how much she was telling these girls. Kristen really needed to not say so much she didn't want to get to close. Just in case her dad decided to get up and move again.
Kristen said " Sure we can go now, I'm done too and Amy looks like she isn't going to get anything. Kristen said so should we meet up there is that cool with you guys? Kristen hoped it was cool she couldn't wait to go and check out the scenery.

Had she been paying attention, she would have noticed Kayla giving her the same look. Too bad she missed it. But then...what would she have done anyway? Flirt openly in front of a girl who might already think it's weird that one girl was staring at the other?
Ah what the heck, thought Amy mostly to herself. Screw this whole shopping sucks thing. Who knows, maybe if she didn't act so independent and so much like a guy, her father wouldn't need to see her act like she was always okay with him leaving. Maybe she should get all clingy and give him puppy dog looks girls seemed to have the knack of doing every time he was ready to leave.
"Ah dude, jeez you don't have to call me a star..." Amy blushed lightly. Though she did feel good that someone appreciated her talent. Especially when it came from a fellow athlete who looked pretty... Amy stopped that train of thought before it got into anywhere weird.
"Um...I guess I need to stuff this in a locker somewhere so you guys should just go ahead and do your girly shopping and then when I'm done, I'll come look for ya." Amy suggested when the other two couldn't come up with anything between them.

If Kayla had realized that everyone had noticed her staring, she would have been really embarrassed. She still wasn't completely sure of what she was feeling anyway. Okay...maybe she was starting to get pretty sure, but she wasn't exactly ready to admit that yet. Plus, its not like she'd never had a crush on a guy either. She had had crushes on guys before, even if she didn't have one right now. So what did that mean? Lately she'd been noticing girls more anyway.... It was like a constant battle in her head, so she would have been beyond mortified had she realized this inclination toward girls she had was apparent to everyone else, because as far as Kayla was concerned, she did a good job of hiding it.
Kayla was glad when Kristin wasn't completely turned off by going to a sporting store like a lot of girls would be. But then again, that's why Kayla didn't usually hang out with most girls. She wasn't really girly at all. Most of her friends that were girls were also into sports. She supposed that made her sort of a jock but she didn't really think of herself that way.
Amy blushed when Kayla called her a star and Kayla felt sort of bad. She hadn't really wanted to embarrass the other girl, she was just pointing out that she was a really talented player. But luckily the other girls agreed that it was time to move on to the mall so it gave Kayla something to do instead of dwelling.
She twirled her ponytail with her fingers as she stood up. Kristen suggested them all meeting over there and Amy mentioned wanting to find a locker. Kayla didn't understand why they didn't all just walk over together, but whatever, she figured it would be good to have a minute or two by herself to collect her thoughts and all that. Laughing when Amy mentioned going to the girly stores without her Kayla shook her head, "You do remember that this is me going shopping, right?" she joked, "I don't think I'd know what to do in a lot of the girly stores," she laughed, before adding for Kristen's sake, in case the other girl liked girly stores, "if you want to go in them, its okay though...." she said, trying to be accommodating.
"Do you guys just want to all meet by the entrance?" she asked. She tried to think of a better landmark but she wasn't familiar enough with the mall to select one, so she figured that the entrance was just as good as anything else she could have thought of. She didn't have anything else to do like the other girls did, so she planned to just walk straight over and wait for them.

Kristen was glad all three had finally decided to go. Kristen was more than happy to go to the sport store first. Kristen really wanted to get her mind off of things for a few hours. Kristen then picked up her jacket , her umbrella, and started to look around to make sure she had nothing else.
Kristen liked the idea of meeting in front of the entrance. Even though Kristen would only get there in a short amount of time with her car. Kristen didn't mind waiting for the other two girls to get there. Kristen finally told the girls . " Sure I'll meet you guys at the entrance and I'll see you guys soon. When Kristen walked out of the Starbucks ,she noticed it was still raining. Kristen had a car anyway so she wouldn't need to worry.
Once Kristen got in her car she turned on the heater and blared the radio a little as Usher new song "Hey Daddy" was playing. Kristen favorite song was "Fall For You" by Secondhand Serenade. Pierre had dedicated "Fall For You " to her when they were best friend. Pierre at the time had been trying to tell her he had a crush on her.Kristen thought that was so cute of him and she really missed him right now.
Kristen hoped that soon she could tell the girls about Pierre. Kristen could use some girl gossip and ask them what they thought she should do. Kristen was so confused how to handle the Pierre thing. Kristen looked at the time it was 3:36 pm and here she was thinking about her old flame. Kristen just kept driving ,preferring to have her mind on other things. To keep her distracted she thought of her friend Maria. Kristen really hoped the earrings that she was thinking of buying Maria at the mall would be worth enough. Kristen wanted the earrings to be for her friend Maria because Maria had been there for her when she needed a close girlfriend to talk to.
When Kristen arrived at the mall she immediately found parking . Now all Kristen had to do was wait on the other two girls. Kristen decided to get her umbrella and go underneath the shelter in the front of the mall. Kristen saw many cars pass her and look at her oddly. Kristen was wearing a long black coat that was from Switzerland and she had a bright red umbrella . Now Kristen was thinking maybe she should have gotten their cell number ,just in case something happen.
