After leaving Colby at home she couldn't stop smiling. Forcing herself not to think what happened last night she just focused on that morning and what he asked her. It was lunch time so she figured she could supris Izzy, Mallory, and Sidra at school. She wondered if they started hanging out after she left. At least she knew she had three friends at Gould that believed her and were on her side.
Pulling into Gould's parking lot she parked the car. She got out ignroing the looks the from people. Looking around she saw the bench she alway sat on was free. Going over she sat down and crossed her legs. She added a pair of large sunglasses hoping that would cover up the bruises on her face from yesterday. It was still tender where he slapped her and went he pushed her down her face on the oppisite side hit the floor so that was slighty discolored.
Pushing the memories back again she took out her cell. Typing up a quick text to them all. "Girls guess who I am out on my favorite bench, come on out", finding their numbers she sent send and the text went out to them all. Now she sat back and waited for them ignoring everyone and the looks they were sending her.

If the phone hadn't been on silent the first few bars of a funeral dirge would have chimed out to inform the would-be-vampire that she had a text message. As it was, it buzzed against her side. Glancing down at the name as it appeared, the glittered lips pulled into a smile, fangs visible. Her favorite non-family mundane.
Outside though. There was sunshine out there. Pursing her lips in thought, Sidra made a stop at her locker and removed a very large, very black umbrella she'd painted with a funeral scene. It wasn't the best art, but she liked it. Opening it up in the halls, to spite the gasps of "bad luck!" and be able to use it to push people out of her way should they dare to get into it in the first place. No, she wouldn't text back, she'd just show up.
"Kitten, what brings you out this way? Looking to get bit?" Her usual greeting for the girl she couldn't scare. It fascinated Si that someone as prep as Cat wouldn't fear her. Wouldn't shy away. Would actually smile, and laugh with her. There was hope for the lamb yet. Now if she could just ease her away from the pastels and into more jewel tones. In time, Si thought, in time. Start small, with Halloween and the like.
Sitting on the bench next to her friend, the umbrella covered Cat too, big as it was it might as well have been a table cover for an outdoor cafe, who was to say it hadn't been at one point. No telling.

Catalina laughed at what Sidra said. "Hey Si" she smiled. She looked down when she asked if she wanted to get bit. "That happened last night." She pulled her tank top and the jacket away from her shoulder and neck a bit so she could see the mark. "I am suprised you didn't hear what happened. Lets me sum it up Quenten tried it again and well this what happened. His brother and my friend Renton stopped him before he could well do anything but undo his pants." She said this all mater of fact, it was easier to be that way to sound like a professional doctor or whatever.
"Colby got the worst the jerk hit him over the head with a rock. He could of died." Talking about that had her throath catch. "Sorry thought I was over not being upset anymore" she said and looked down. "We had a spot of good news though today, Colby asked me to marry him and I said yes" she looked back up and over at Sidra. "How have you been? Scare anyone new lately?" she asked teasingly. Now that the unplesant part of talking about what happened out of the way she was ready to talk about something good or about what her friends were up to.

The smile on Si's face froze and her eyes went cold. Her grip on the umbrella was too tight and her back too rigid. She'd kill him. Absolutely kill him. Already she'd planned how to do it, after the last incident. Life was too good for him. Air was too good for him. Breathing.
The air hissed out between Sidra's teeth as she eyed the bite mark and her knuckles dances as her fingers flexed, ready to strangle, claw, kill...
"There isn't a torture too harsh..." and there wasn't. If she ever got the chance to do anything to him she'd have to make sure there was a doctor or a nurse around to make sure the pain lasted longer. He wanted to know what power felt like? Fine. She'd show him. But he'd be the prey.
The other news, however, took a moment to sink into Si's fuming thoughts, but when it did:
"What?!" The word was little more than a yelp of shock and her free hand snaked out to snag Cat's left one. "He asked you. To. Marry. Him?!" There was no mistaking Sidra for a "girly girl" but there was excitement none-the-less. "And you said yes." Okay, repeating the news didn't make it less or more true, but Si was at a loss for anything else to do.
"Seriously? Does anyone else know?" Forget scaring people, she could scare a whole church full at the wedding!

Izzy had gotten the text in the middle of writing her column. she quickly finished and headed outside. She approached and saw Cat and Si. Izzy never really talked to Si. She had nothing against the girl, she just never talked to her. Izzy shrugged and walked over, "Well now I know. I don't know what to say first."
Izzy sat on the other side of Cat and blinked a few times. Teenage marriage was huge. Then again Cat had been through more then she could ever imagine. So maybe this was not a bad thing. Izzy shook her head, "Well first, even though I do not condone violence or torture..." She said looking at Si, "i think the idea Si has for him..." She said refusing to use Quenten's name, "is what a monster like he deserves."
Izzy sighed and smiled. "I would be lying if I said teenage marriage is scary, but I am very happy for you and I would love to help you plan a wedding. Just imagine all the things that need to be done. When would the wedding be? Oh you need a theme?" Izzy was happy. Sure teenage marriage had major complications but still planning a wedding was great. "I can write an announcement for the school paper if you want."

Catalian was gald to have such wonderful and supportive friends. They are the friends till the end, through thick and thin kind of friends. Smiling as she listened to them talk. "I Just know he is in jail and not getting out at this time thankfully. Maybe he will meet Bubba and they will become really good friends whether he likes it or not" she grinned. It would serve him right he would know exactly how she felt that night and since then. She can finally say she is happy for the first time in a long time. "We are not getting married till we graduate, it is going to be the weekend after graduation" she explained.
"We love each other but we know we are not ready to get married in high school. I am just amazed he wants me honestly. I feel like such damaged goods at times it is stifling." She knew she could tell them anything and they would not say anything to anyone. Taking off her sunglasses she sighed, there was no way to hide the bruises and hung them on her shirt. "This stuff fades the scars he can't see are worse" she shrugged. "Last night could of been a lot worse I know that, I could of been raped again. You can thank his brother he got him off of me I do not know how I can ever thank him."
"What have you been up to Si, still trying to scare everyone?" she asked teasingly. She did not think Sidra was scary at all, of course that could be because she already met the scariest monster of all, nothing was scary in comparison to him and what he did. "And you Iz how is the paper and your life been? We have a lot to catch up on all of us. How is Mallory?"

Sidra flashed a grin at Izzy, fangs in full view. But then they were whenever she smiled. The slight over bite made it easier to wear them all time. “You’re right, you do know now. So that makes two of us plus the blushing bride here.” A pale hand waved unnecessarily to point out whom she had meant. It was funny how quickly Izzy had jumped to help Cat plan her wedding. Funny, but honestly Izzy. That sort of planning was something Si would love to be involved with, but she doubted her ideas of a “great wedding” were anyone elses. Unless they were part of the “vampire” sub culture as well.
“Of course you should write an announcement! This is huge news.”
Si poked Cat in the arm, “And you… why wouldn’t he want you? You’re gorgeous… for a mortal.” she winked.
“And we could always make sure, Buba knows about the little boy who likes to do nasty things. I’m sure there are all sorts of wonderful kinks Buba could show Q.” It was an evil laugh, laced with delightful malice that was well deserved. Hell was too good a place for people like that. And Si had thought long and hard about just what to do to him if she ever got him alone.
Pulling her thoughts back to the conversation at hand, Sidra focused just enough to catch Cat’s question.
“Of course I am. Though the wicked-step-faud is my latest target. She keeps trying to be part of the family. Dared to take Fallon’s book the other day and made me wear Barbie pink for the ‘family portrait’.” Sidra shuddered at the memory of the pink dress, even after it’s alteration. At least she had her sister’s black and white striped dress to make her happy again. The thing was a vision and fit perfectly no extra work needed. Fal knew her stuff, that was for sure.
“Yes, Iz, what’s new?” Si loved hearing about her less-freakish friends lives. The few ‘norms’ she hung out with, or in Iz’s case just associated with, were worthy because they didn’t scare easy.

Izzy bumped Cat, "Listen to Si. She knows what she is saying. Colby is lucky to have you. And he obviously knows it if he asked you to marry him." She smiled, "As for Q I think SI has that taken care of." She smiled at her vampire like friend. Most people would not think Si and Izzy would be Friends, but they were. She liked Si simply because she was very unique.
"Your step mom did what? Why would she do such a thing? Your sister is not her child?" Then again Izzy had no idea what is was really like to have a mom. Her mother was always gone. Although when her mother was around she was a very good mom.
"As for Mal beats me. I am not sure where she is to be honest." Izzy had not seen her in school at all the last two days. "I will have the announcement out in Monday's paper. As for me I am good. I am planning a prank with Ben and Eden on my brother Jett, but shhh you can't tell him. Its going to be a good prank and he deserves it. Besides that Connor and I pulled a prank in the paper. We took fake pictures of couples and put cheesy love lines underneath. It was so funny."

Catalina wondered what everyone was going to say when they saw the annoucement. Some she knew would be happy and others would be mad because they thought that she was lying and thought Colby deserved better. The one thing that mattered is they love each other and they want to be with each other forever. They are a forever kind of love with all they have been through. She smiled as she listened to her friends talk. "I remember your step mother I did not like her at all" she made a face. "The few times I met her she was nice to nice, the fake nice, you just know someone mean is behind that mask" she told Si. "I am suprised you wore the pink dress and did not say no way" she smiled. "I have a feeling that dress was cut to shreds after you did whatever you did to it. And poor Fallon we know how much she loves her jorunal."
"I would love to see a copy of that newspaper" she giggled and smiled. It was nice to feel normal for even just a little bit. "What kind of prank are you playing on Jett? Need any hlep" she grinned. "It has been awhile since I helped out with anything. When we were little we use to do it all the time, like the time we hid his clothes and so he had to run in boxers during a picnic you were having that had both friends and family at it. I think were both 8 at the time" she said trying to remember the age. "What did Jett do this time to deserve a prank?"

Sidra’s eyes twinkled and she nodded. Of course the dress had been shreds when she wore it, but she’d worn it, and that had been the deal. Not HOW, just that she wear it. It was a trick she wouldn’t get away with twice. Sandra, for all her faults, was quick on the uptake. She’d bargain better next time, cut out all the loop holes, but they’d been there, and it had been perfect, the look on the hag’s face.
Flashing another grin at Izzy, Si kicked out her feet and crossed her legs at the ankle. Damn straight she knew what she was talking about. God, she’d make a great vampire some day. All wisdom and unpredictability. Would she be able to eat her friends if it came down to it? Probably not, they’d have to be turned too.
“Remind me to grab a copy of the paper,” Si said. Anything that would make people look twice, and potentially feel the fool was good in her book. Squeaking mundane. Now that’s what life was about. And un-life.
“What did Jett not do to deserve the prank,” she shot back with a another languish stretch. Too much time curled up with her music and her books. Perhaps it was time to look into going out somewhere. A Promenade if you would. Maybe she’d stalk one of the ghost hunting tours. “I could bite him…”
