Patch recoiled in horror at the very idea of asking Jessica on a date. If he were at all inclined to ask anyone on a date, she would be the last person on his list, below even Jasper Hastings. The only other person who had dared suggest he might have a thing for Jessica was Nick, and that was largely because Nick liked to harass Patch just as much as Patch liked to harass Nick. That was just what siblings did.

"What?! Are you out of your mind?" He gaped, "Ask her out? She'd slaughter me before I could even finish the question. And if that's her idea of a joke I'd hate to see her really angry. She's really scary. I'd rather get into a fight with Quentin Ferris." He exclaimed seriously. At least it was socially acceptable to defend himself if Quentin decided to launch an ambush, but with Jessica being female that hadn't been an option.

"You can keep her, and keep her away from me. Maybe you can get her to start sharing your locker, too?" He suggested hopefully, "I've been avoiding mine as much as possible since the school evilly made us share. I swear Mr. Box assigned them this way on purpose just because she tried to kill me."

Felipe was startled by the vehemence of Patch's reaction. He either despised Jessica completely or was erecting the biggest smoke screen in creation to cover up feelings of the complete opposite. To say he was left confused could easily class as the understatement of the deace. No, century. Make that milenium. He had to say he'd never found Jessica to be intimidating but then perhaps he'd seen past her defences... Not allowed himself to be pushed away where others might have done so.

Tenacity? Stubborness? Or a simple desire to befriend her when he could painfully see she needed such a person?

All of the above.

Felipe hadn't a clue who Quentin Ferris was but as that wasn't really the issue he didn't ask for clarification. The name had been used as a comparison... Nothing more.

"If I could have her share my locker I would but I'm a Silver student myself and am sharing Victor Webber's. Maybe all three of us could use the same one? I can ask if you like...?" Felipe looked intently at Patch. "!But did she honestly try to kill you? Why would she want to do something like that? I know she can have... less than great days but to kill?" He shopok his head. "I really am struggling with that idea." What should he do about the bowling get-together? In light of what Patch had said - and his desire to keep well clear of Jessica - maybe they'd be wise to find something else to do tomorrow? If so he'd need to text Kian... and sooner rather than later!

"Yes, kill!!!" Patch insisted. "Evan and I were hangin' and watchin' youtube vids on his phone and she just jumped on us out of the blue. I didn't even know who she was until later." This much was true. Of course, he was leaving off important information, but he was keen on keeping his accidental arson as private as possible. "Anyone can tell you! Kian's boyfriend took pictures, seemed to think it was funny."

His dark glare said that he didn't find those circumstances at all amusing, and he didn't think that Connor would be amused if Jessica targeted him.

A glance at his watch showed that it was almost five, time to head back home for dinner or his parents would be vexed with him. He'd promised to spend at least one night of the week eating with them, though he wasn't so keen on the questions about schoolwork that were sure to be flung at him. "I gotta go." He announced, "Thanks for lettin' me know about psycho chick, I'll be sure to stay far, far away. No offense, dude. You seem cool and all but I kinda like being alive."

He whistled for K.B., who was reluctant to leave his new-found friend, and soon the two were off, heading back home for dinner -- and to warn Evan of their impending doom.
