Lace had been fascinated by how the boys were interacting. She couldn't help but smile when Dare and the new boy...Mike, she thought, went off for a really long time with Takumi being all worried and Evan pulling him back. These were a bunch of boys that she could see herself being friends with even if she was a little weird and quiet.
As she was offered some food, she ate quietly, laughing when one of the boys did something she found funny and keeping quiet for the most part. Since the boys weren't focusing their attention on her, she was pretty happy with munching away at the snacks with thoughts of Max and the amazing date they went on. Well it was amazing to her anyway. She had never been to one so she didn't have anything to compare it with so to her it was as amazing as it could get.
Then the topic came around to Mike and Dare and how Evan had hooked them up and the way Evan described it made Lace laugh. He really was a ball of sunshine. He was like the Energizer bunny only less furry but the same energy and cuteness. It was no wonder why he wasn't single, she supposed. She would have loved to have someone lift up her spirits when she was down and Evan could be the type of guy who could help her.
But right then, she was content with the good looking Londoner who had given her her first kiss. She shivered thinking about the kiss and before she knew it, the two boys were looking at her expectantly. "What?" she stammered, the candy she was chewing was swallowed immediately when she heard the question again. All thoughts went to Max and the blush on her cheeks should have been an indication to the answer. "I...well...seeing? Um I met a boy last night..." her voice even quieter than before.
"He was so sweet. He bought me a fan and the performance program and he..." she stopped herself before revealing the big kiss she had received from the blond boy. Was this something a girl actually told boys about? They just asked her if she was. Why did she have to go through the whole spiel of the date? She could have just said yes. Now she was rather embarrassed by her sudden openness. "Um...I suppose I am?"
At the mention of Ginger, she immediately perked up. "Oh how is the little darling? Is she getting along with Hashi? I hope she is. I've missed the little kitty. I should visit her and yes I would love that, thank you Taki." She grinned brighly, squeezing his hand gently before grabbing a bag of chips to occupy herself so the boys could continue talking.

When Takumi grabbed some candy from ‘Evan’s bowl’ (the fact that the bowl belonged to the Madison family, and all the candy in it purchased by Dare didn’t factor into the situation), Evan tried out his most menacing look at the other guy, but seeing how it made him smile, and not cower in fear as was the intention, Evan took it as a sign that perhaps he wasn’t that great at giving a menacing look.
He understood, he really did, that English was Takumi’s second language, so it was normal for him to struggle with some of the words, not know what some things mean. But, Evan was really, really, really easily amused, so his friend’s guess at what a double date could be was enough to make the teenager grin far too wider than necessary. “Nah, a double date is when a two couples go out, but like together. Not together together, like you and Izzy would still be on the date, but you would be hanging out with another couple two, like Kian and Connor. That make sense?”
He used Lace talking as an excuse to munch down on as much candy as humanly possible, not even looking at what he was shoving into his mouth as he ate. It was all good after all, and besides, Lace was talking, it would be rude not to look at her as she did.
“Haha, sweet, we’re all loved up!” Evan enthused when he finally managed to swallow his last oversized mouthful. “Who’s the guy? Do we know him?” he asked, taking a brief break from pigging out. They had all afternoon anyway to eat, and he planned on taking advantage of that.
When the conversation turned to the kitty he hadn’t yet had the pleasure of meeting, he used the opportunity to get to his feet, stretching lightly as they talked. Finishing the rest of his drink, he used the moment when the conversation ended to yell out to Mike and Dare, before moving to sit behind the drum kit. “Let’s get started!”

"Ah I see. Double date." Takumi filed that away in his head, wanting to talk to Izzy about it tomorrow at the bowling session. He felt sure she'd like the idea of the 4 of them going out together. "It makes sense, yes," he replied with a nod. He listened closely as Lace told them about her own love life and he beamed at her. "That is... aaah..." What was the word? "Cool." He glanced at Evan. "Cool is right?" Evan nodded. "And Hashi is also in love," he continued. "With Ginger! They are always together and even sleep in the same bed. I'm not sure if Hashi thinks he is a cat or if Ginger is convinced she is a dog! But she is very well and my parents adore her too. Perhaps you and Dare can come over after school one day next week? Izzy still has to meet both Ginger and Hashi and so we could have a party. You would be most welcome, too, Evan-kun, of course!" The two boys got to their feet and heade dover to the drum set where Taki had left his bass. They fell into an easy session and one that was pock-marked with hoots of laughter. More than enough to draw Dare and Mike back soon enough! (wrapped here too and ta muchly all round )

Evan's call was enough to pull Dare's mind back to his apartment and the jam session. "I really should go back," he whispered regretfully to Mike and began to untangle himself from his hero's arms. He gave him a quick kiss and then ran back to the recording room, where he grabbed his guitar and played an opening riff after noting what key Taki was playing in. He smiled as he recognized the Jpop song the other boy was playing. Dare had a very good ear and he easily joined but didn't sing as his Japanese was much worse than Taki's English. One could almost say nonexistent. Dare was fine just playing guitar, but it did seem less exciting without vocals. A moment later he heard the door open and Syn came in looking as sweet & innocent as she possibly could. She opened her mouth and Dare was terrified of a snarky comment, but instead she began to sing, it surprised Dare so much he lost the beat, cause she sounded good, really good. Dare joined her as background and their voices blended well which he guessed was understandable. The song wound down and Dare smiled at his sister. Together the resemblance was obvious. "Taki and Lace this is my half-sister Hyacinth," he said, his smile turning slightly mocking as he introduced her by the hated first name. She smiled at the both of them. "You guys sounded real hot, sorry if I butted in. I just hadn't heard that in a long time. My friends were really into Visual Kei back in New York. Malice Mizer is one of my favorites," she told them, directing it towards Taki. "Hi Lace, I really didn't expect another girl, unless it was one of my dad's groupies. This is usually such a male stronghold. It's nice not to be alone for once."

(ooc the chance to meet Syn is far too tempting so ignore my earlier 'wrapped for me' comment ;P
As soon as he and Evan started to play Dare and Mike returned. Dare quickly picked up his guitar and easily took up the tune. Takumi had been about to start work on the lyrics when the door opened and a girl - she had to be Dare's sister as they looked so alike - entered. She took up the singing role with Evan joining in. The girl's grasp of the language was good but Evan's... Takumi speared him with a glare... good humoured, of course.
They drew to the song's conclusion and Takumi threw his fellow musicians a bright smile. "Hyac..." He grinned at her in apology. "I am not sure I can remember that name," he admitted. "I will call you 'Hai'... it means 'hello. But no you didn't ah... butt in." Always assuming that meant what he'd taken it to mean given the context of her other words. "Malice Mizer is good I agree. Not my favourite but that song has a heavy bass to it and so I like it for that reason alone." It was nice to find someone who not only knew of the group but also had a good knowledge of the song's lyrics.
He set his bass down for the moment as Hai spoke to Lace.
"Your sister is very nice, Dare-kun," he said to his friend. "I am very glad she decided to come home and... butt in." He peered at Dare uncertainly. "That DOES mean to interrupt... right? I think someone at school used that word for..." He patted his rear end. "Or did she meant this?

Syn smiled sweetly at Taki. "My name is Syn with a y, Taki. Hyacinth is a flower which I will never be. My dad calls me Dani. I don't mind that so much. My middle name is Danielle,"she said moving to sit at the keyboards. Turning them on, she turned on a drum beat and began to play randomly. She was a fan of synth pop even the older stuff and so she began to sing and accompany herself on 'Owner of a Lonely heart."

Takumi nodded politely when Dare's sister explained her name. Sin. No, it had a y. Syn? A name he found particularly strange. Sin... or genzai as he knew it - the original sin - was hardly a word used for a person's name - no matter if it had a y or if it didn't. No, he couldn't call her that... He'd stick to Hai. He smiled to himself as he mentally ran through a greeting of 'hai, Hai'... That appealed to Taki's sense of humour.
Hai sat down at the keyboard and started to play a tune he didn't know. The song's bass tab wasn't too complicated though and he listened to the beat before picking up his Zon and joining in...
A/E followed by D/A/E then a more complaicated bar of G/D/A/E. At least Takumi's 5th string wasn't called for at the moment.
Hai had a very sweet tone to her voice and he found himself drifting deeper into the song...
"Look before you leap... And don't you hesitate at all - no no... Owner of a lonely heart"
There were words he didn't know but there was no need to know or understand them. Instead he allowed himself to enjoy the song on its rhythmic merit alone.

Dare joined them. His father was a fan of Yes so he knew the song well. He closed his eyes and let his fingers play. He thought Syn's voice was too sweet for the rather tortured lyrics, but he didn't want to take over either so he just played and enjoyed himself. It was clear that as a group they had a wide variety of tastes. What wasn't so clear was if they would be able to work together to create a voice to make them function as a band. He hoped so, he really liked the others and it would be fun to work together. He was glad he knew this song well because his mind kept drifting off to the living room where he assumed Mike still was after having drifted off. Dare didn't really understand how someone could do that while making out, but he didn't want to get upset about it as he didn't know Mike well. Maybe Dare's inexperience was boring to the other boy. It was clear he had known what he was doing while Dare was just figuring it out experimentally.
