May nodded in recognition of some of the titles. "I like Fruits Basket," She agreed. It was definitely one of the more popular manga, in fact she thought she'd heard it was the best-selling shoujo manga in the US, but she couldn't be sure that was correct. She had just acquired the 10th volume of Ouran High, but since she didn't know the Japanese title and he didn't know the English she couldn't very well tell him that she had read any of it. "Oh. I don't think I know that one," She said doubtfully. "There was one about a girl going to an all boy's school...It was called....Ha, ummm. Hama...Oh, I don't remember. They used the Japanese name." She sighed, unable to bring to mind the shortened version of Hanazakari no Kimitachi e used by Viz.
She crossed her ankles, leaning one elbow on the arm rest of her chair as she pondered the best answer to Taki's query. What was there fun to do? They were in California, there ought to be all sorts of exciting activities at hand, and yet she had to concentrate with all her might to think what they might be. "The Santa Monica pier is always fun, and it's free," She answered, "There are always bands and gymnasts and artists around, and events, and a carasoul. But I think most people go to parties or just hang," She shrugged, "I'm sorry, I'm not really the best person to ask. I don't have time to do too many fun things."
Before she could try and wrack her brain for other interesting sights or activities, a woman with short grey hair and a tan pants suit stepped out of her office. "Mr. Yoshino?" She asked, pronouncing his name yah-shen-uh. "Step into my office, please."
May nudged the boy, "I'll wait here for you."
