When Kian left him and Christophe alone for a moment, Connor turned to his possible new friend with a grin on his face. “Well, the Patridges’ seem to like the surf fine. I’m more than happy to stand on the beach and snap. I can’t quite imagine myself surfing. Or anything really, that requires a lot of balance and, you know, skill.” he chuckled. The sand was filled with enough peril to begin with. No one liked having sand stuck between their toes.
Connor gave a quick grin as his boyfriend returned donned in a bathing suit, but they had company, and knowing himself how uncomfortable he would feel if he was with two people who suddenly started jumping each other, he did nothing more than that. “Yeah, I better borrow one.” he grinned, “I’ll just get changed. I remember where you keep all your clothes.” Walking past, he gave in and pressed just a quick kiss to Kian’s cheek.
He got changed quickly, feeling just a little self conscious so he wrapped a towel around his waist as he walked back to join them, just in time to hear the Irish coffee comment. It made him laugh, thinking of their first meeting in Starbucks. “Yes, he prefers fruity drinks and muffins that don’t have chocolate in them. No accounting for taste.” he chuckled at Christophe, before squeezing his boyfriend’s hand affectionately. He quickly made his own coffee, grinning at the sound of the two guys in the water below.
Gripping the mug in his hand, he moved to the side of the boat, so he could look over and see the pair. Waving to get their attention, he grinned brightly. “No, we don’t buy that! Come on up, we’re going in the hot tub, and there’s hot chocolate.” He figured he should try his best to keep on the good side of Kian’s friends. He didn’t know if he was just paranoid, but Patch still seemed wary of him.

It was impossible not to hear the barrage of shouts and yelps emanating from the water outside and Christophe laughed when he heard Evan state - loudly - that the water was warm. Like who was going to believe that after they'd all heard the swimming pair shout when they first entered the sea? He threw Kian a grin. "So you and Connor are together?" The other boy nodded. It didn't bother Christophe one bit that they were the same sex. Plenty of his friends - both boys and girls - back in Paris had chosen to date their own gender. Christophe had always - and would always - prefer girls for that but was equally as happy with male friends as well... Just not to the same degree, of course!
"Fruity drinks and chocolate-less muffins? Is he completely crazy?" Christophe asked with another laugh. "And I thought you to be perfectly sane, Kian," he added. "First appearances have clearly deceived me. I mean fruity drinks I can forgive but muffins without chocolate?" The French boy shook his head. "A sin against all that is holy," he declared, winking at Connor as he spoke.
The hot tub sounded far more appealing to Christophe than freezing his ass off in the sea. As much as he loved the ocean he also loved his comfort. Besides, there was time for that another day... and when he hopefully weould be out watching for orcas.
"You mentioned swimsuits...?" Kian pointed to the other room and Christophe vanished, donning a pair of baggy boardshorts that he found in a drawer.
He returned back to find the other pair had headed for the hot tub, Kian's voice easily reaching him and telling him to 'get yourself up here'. If he'd half felt in their way that was quickly dismissed and he bolted up the steps to join them.
"Patch and Evan are braving it out, eh?" he asked, hearing more screams of laughter from the water below.

Kian stuck his tongue out at Connor, his eye gleaming mischievously at his boyfriend. "I like chocolate in my muffins as much as the next guy, but a body like this doesn't happen without a few sacrifices," he said striking a pose. He didn't diet so much as keep himself in line. If he ate chocolate the way Evan did, he knew he would end up being the spokesperson for Jenny Craig. Even eating healthy, he still had to work out above and beyond his dance classes and fencing. After showing Christophe where to find a bathing suit, he grabbed Connor's hand and they ran up the stairs and fired up the Jacuzzi. He set aside his towel and climbed into the hot, bubbling water. "This feels so good," he moaned and scooted to lean his head against Connor's shoulders. "Heaven, really." "Come on Christophe, we might use up all the heat if you don't hurry."
Every once in a while a squeak or squeal could be heard down in the water below. Just listening to them made Kian shiver.

"Come on Christophe, we might use up all the heat if you don't hurry."
"I'm on my way!" he called back, taking to the steps three at a time and arriving seconds later.
"Patch and Evan are braving it out, eh?" he asked, hearing more screams of laughter from the water below. They were welcome to the cold water below and Christophe slipped into the hot tub with a sigh of pleasure. He slid deeper and closed his eyes, feeling the heat seep into his bones and relax muscles he hadn't realised were tense until now.
The weekend stretched out before him and Christophe smiled slightly at the thought of tomorrow afternoon. He hadn't a clue what they'd do or where they'd go but that didn't really matter. He felt sure she'd know of some fun places they could visit. And if he was really lucky she might even agree to going out for dinner later.
"Do either of you know Llyria?" he asked. "Lia, she is called. She has 2 brothers. Jandro and Saint. We met on Wednesday..." He went on to tell Kian and Connor how he'd 'snared' the blonde beauty in Renard's leash. "Absolutely accidental," he added with a laugh. "I am meeting her tomorrow afternoon." A smile sdrifted onto his face and Christophe felt pretty pleased with himself. After all, he and his family had only been in town for just the 2 days and already he was skipping school with a set of friends and meeting a very attractive girl tomorrow.
Couldn't get a lot better than that... could it?

"Lia is one of the Juarez's I was talking about that surf. She is the most normal of them,"Kian said, not meaning to be obnoxious, but they were an odd set of siblings. "They are very close to each other. Saint is a sophomore and Lia and Jandro are twins in Freshman year. I believe they were born so close together that they view themselves almost like triplets. Saint is blind which is a shame for he was a promising artist before he got shot. Jandro is a wonderful dancer for not being trained. Lia... she is a surfer and a witch from what I have heard. Nice girl, just has some odd ideas. She is pretty though. All that icy blond hair and dark blue eyes. She is a Lifeguard at Venice Beach in the summer,"Kian said dragging the depths of his mind for the little he knew on her.
