Eden reglossed her lips and tousled her hair a little, using her tiny locker mirror as her guide. Okay, good. She looked good. And she had to look good because she had plans to meet up with Cole. Eden had been a little dazed all afternoon, especially after learning that she and Jett would be playing opposite one another in the play. It was rather nerve-racking, knowing that everyone would be watching as they kissed one another on stage. But she didn't want to think about Jett. He was just that thorn in her side...that she occasionally slept with so it seemed. It was still strange to think about. But she'd slept with Cole too...pretty much within the same week. Did that make her a slut? She was pretty sure it did but she couldn't help it. Jett was than guy who would always be there...the one she'd always go back to. And Cole was...fun. He made her forget about all her issues and that was really nice too.
Eden glanced down at the black X that was still on the floor next to it and smiled. She grabbed a sharpie out of her locker before shutting it and headed down the hall towards Cole's locker, with the rest of Ben's weed stash in her bag. As she approached where his locker was she smiled, seeing him standing there. "Hey," she said walking up to him. She quickly drew an X on the floor and then stood on top of it. "Look, now you'll know just where to find me in the future," she said with a grin. "How's that song going?" she asked, grinning once more. Of course if he hadn't written her a song at all she'd be okay with it, but she was pretty excited to hear what he had so far. "Sorry, I couldn't hang out yesterday," she added, "but I think today's kind of better anyway, cause its Friday and we don't have to worry about waking up early tomorrow," she pointed out.

The blonde haired girl would not stop haunting Cole's thoughts. He barely managed to keep himself aware of the classroom around him, and when the bell rang he practically dashed out of the room to his locker. His hopes were to stash his books, grab his stuff, and make it to Eden's locker before she could. His hopes were dashed, however, as a large grouping of students slowed his journey through the hallways. Finally, he made it to his locker and was so focused on the task at hand that he hadn't even noticed Eden's arrival.
Her voice made him grin, and he relaxed, no longer in a rush. “Hey yourself, babe,” he responded, then glanced down at the new mark on the floor. “You better be careful, or the janitor's gonna think there's some serial graffiti artists cruisin' the halls.” He slung his bag over his shoulder, packed with the few book she'd need for his homework, and slammed the locker shut. “Song's chill, think it's gonna be one of my fav's. I'll play it for you tonight.” His normally goofy grin shrank into a more sincere smile, and he brought his hand to Eden's chin. “I think you'll like it.”
He was tempted to kiss her right there, but he figured some of the other students wouldn't appreciate the PDA. He was cool with it, he understood. Instead, his hand moved to brush a few strands of hair out of her face, then moved around her shoulders as he led her away from the locker and towards the exit. “It's cool, no worries. And that's a good point. I hope you don't mind sleeping on a beach, we usually all just crash there when we have a bonfire. But that doesn't even start until like eightish, so we'll have to kill some time. Don't know how the waves are, but we could always check that out. Interested?”

Eden looked down at the mark on the floor a little sheepishly. Maybe the act hadn't been as cute as she'd originally planned. But then again, she was new at this whole flirting thing. She made a quick mental note that vandalism wasn't cute, even if he did it first. Luckily the topics changed quickly to her song. Oh and she was excited about the song. It wasn't just that no one had written her a song before...it was more than that...like the fact that someone was into her enough to want to write her a song. She'd never even imagined that that would happen. "Yeah," she said with a smile. "I definitely want to hear it," she told him with a nod.
"Sleeping on the beach," she said as they left his locker and started to head toward the exit. "I have no problem with that," she said. She didn't remember him saying anything about a beach bonfire but she was always down for events like that. It was something that she and Ben often did together, but although it was something almost as second nature to her as surfing, it was more exciting...the idea of doing it without her brother around.
"Yeah, I'd be down to check out the waves," she agreed. "As long as you don't mind swinging by my place so I can grab my stuff," she said. Her surfboard was at home as well as her swimsuits and wet suits--the water was much too cold this time of year to attempt it without a wetsuit. She figured she could also grab something to change into after surfing. She might have had a T-shirt on but she'd paired it with a mini-skirt and heels...not something she really wanted to sleep on the beach in. She could of course suggest surfing at her place since she did live in a beach front property, but she knew her brother would be home at some point and she very much wanted to keep her time with Cole just with Cole.
"I can drive," she offered, as they reached the parking lot. She headed toward her car.

Cole watched as a tinge of embarrassment came to Eden's cheeks. The girl was damned cute, there was no denying that. He nearly felt regret for not noticing her sooner. “Hey, kiddo, I was just joking! I wouldn't worry too much about the janitor.” The blond haired boy felt a little bad for creating such feelings in his date. He'd have to go a little easier on her with the jokes.
If there was one thing Cole really dug in a girl, it was an adventurous personality. He'd met so many girls that would freak out at the idea of sleeping outside, no tent to protect them. Though he had known Eden was into surfing and the beach and all, he wasn't sure if she was cool with the idea of being outside all night. Cole was glad she agreed. His favorite place to have sex was out under the stars on some beach, and he was excited to share that with Eden.
“Yeah, I gotta swing by my place too, get my board and stuff.” Cole hadn't thought about transportation before Eden brought it up, however, so he was glad she offered her car. His parent's home in the Hills didn't make for easy access to the beach without one, and sometimes it was difficult for him to get his board to the shore. The pair approached Eden's car and got in. Cole looked around the car, approving of the wheels. “Is is cool if we swing by there? You're the driver, so it looks like my fate is all in your hands now...”

"Yeah, I know," Eden said when he told her that he was joking. Why was she such an idiot? Eden was really trying hard to be less uptight, but she was still figuring it all out. Really, she'd made miles of improvements. She wasn't nearly as bad tempered as she used to be. She'd just have to concentrate more and make sure to keep up with the jokes and not take them too seriously.
Eden had never really slept on the beach before, but it seemed like it could be fun. She'd been to enough bonfires though that that aspect was familiar to her. Plus, by the end she of the night she usually was pretty tired anyway, and crashing on the beach didn't always seem like a terrible idea. She'd always been spoiled though with a beach front property so it was easy to just head back and crash in her own bed. Cole's place wasn't exactly close to the beach, so it made sense that the would just pass out where he was.
"Yeah no problem," she said, figuring that he'd need his things too. "I guess it depends which stretch of beach you'd like to go to," she said. "What would be easier, to swing by Venice first or swing by your place. Where's the bonfire going to be tonight?" she asked, figuring that they'd probably end up surfing near there. She hoped that it wasn't to close to Venice because she didn't want to her brother around. She also would have preferred to go to her place first to avoid Ben being around but she didn't say anything like that.
She got into her car, giggling when he said that his fate was in her hands. "Well, of course we can get your stuff," she said, "I'm not going surfing alone," she teased. "Just let me know where it makes sense to go first," she told him as she started up her car.

Cole hung his arm out the window of Eden's jeep, enjoying the breeze as it tossed his curly locks about. He squinted as he looked over at the angel beside him, watching as she navigated the vehicle through L.A.'s traffic. “Let's hit your place first, then my pad. The bonfire's at my buddy's place near Topanga, so we could catch a few waves there first,” he decided. Eden was submissive to a point, which was fine most of the time for Cole, but he'd like to see the girl start to take charge of a few things just to show off some confidence. He'd seen her do so out in the water, and if Cole was lucky he might get her to be as confident in bed.
“You like the fire,” Cole asserted. The little tiny part of Cole that still cared how people viewed him was rearing it's ugly head, and he felt just slightly worried the girl might feel uncomfortable in a place where she didn't know many people. “It's a bunch of dudes I jam with, we just kinda play shit and smoke and enjoy life. It's pretty bitchin'.” A song drifted through Cole's head, and he started banging out the rhythm on the side of the jeep as it drove along. The traffic was luckily pretty light for this time of day, and they were making decent time. Hopefully they'd make it with enough daylight for a good amount of riding.
Finally he'd had enough of the song that wouldn't leave his mind. “Hey, you got any tunes in this beast?” He glanced over at the girl and stretched his arm out, resting it on the back of her seat. Cars whizzed past behind her, but all Cole could see was her lovely visage illuminated by the bright sun. He smiled, and hoped they might make a short pit stop at either of their places.

In general, Eden tended to be a pretty passive person. She'd always been more of a follower than a leader. It wasn't necessarily in a bad way...it wasn't like she did things she didn't want to do or anything but more that that, she was just super laid back...super flexible and didn't mind just going with the flow. Or at least she thought that that was all it was. Truth be told, she could be passive to a fault sometimes. As long as things didn't seem too crazy...Eden tended to go along with it. She sometimes felt uncomfortable speaking up, but it wasn't something that she was really even aware of. "Sure, sounds good," she said when Cole suggested that they go to her place first. She hoped her brother wasn't already home.
"Yeah, Ben and I do bonfires all the time," she said, "they're fun." She didn't really know any of Cole's friends, but she figured they'd be cool, although she did kind of wonder if she'd be the only girl there. "Oh yeah...I actually have some weed in my bag," she said, figuring they could break it out later. She wasn't really sure what Cole's smoking habits were but she kind of assumed that he did.
"Oh, yeah, sure," Eden said, turning the radio on. A Muse song was playing. Eden liked Muse but she didn't really know what Cole's taste in music was. "Feel free to change it and put whatever on," she told him. She kept driving to her place. When they got there she smiled seeing that Be's car was nowhere to be seen. She got out of the car and headed into the house. "Yeah, so this is my place," she said as she got out of the car.
She headed up to the front and unlocked the door and headed inside. The door opened up into the living room which had a giant sectional couch. Her mom's movie posters lined the walls but she liked to ignore those. "My room is this way," she said leading him towards it, passing their massive movie theatre sized home theatre on the way, ignoring that too, not really wanting to give a tour of her massive place. In her room she had a queen sized bed in the center of her room and a desk in the corner. There was a large bay window that had a view of the beach and different posters and art work were spread across her walls.
She started to gather her things and threw them into a bag. "Mind if I change quick too?" she asked, "My surf board is out back, so we can just grab it on my way out," she said. She had a bikini she'd wanted to put on and she wanted to change out of her skirt and put some sorts in, and maybe some flip flops. She could put her wetsuit on once she got into the beach.

The sun was out, the air was flowing, decent tunes were on the radio, and a pretty girl was next to him. Cole couldn't have been more content. He was silent most of the drive, simply appreciating his life and what he had been given this day. Of course, much of the appreciation was by glancing over at Eden as she drove, watching the wind whip her hair around.
The pulled up to her place, and Cole followed her through the large house up to her room. It seemed like a cool place, and he spied what looked to be a large movie theatre, which he thought was totally cool. Upon entering the girl's room, he immediately hopped onto the bed. He laid back and waited for Eden to collect her things, and if she wanted to join him on the bed, all the better.
When Eden mentioned changing, however, it became too much for Cole to bear. The thought of her naked body snaked into his mind and he knew he had to have her, right there. He stood and moved close to Eden, placing his hands on her hips. “Let me help you,” he whispered in her ear, his strong hands roaming up underneath her shirt. Her skin felt soft, which only made Cole all the more anxious to disrobe her. He wasn't sure if her family would be home at all, or if they'd mind about the sort of things he wanted to do to Eden, but he wasn't concerned. If she stopped him, it would only make the trip to his house more exciting.

Eden actually wasn't sure she wanted Cole there when she changed. Sure, he'd already seen her naked, but there was something different about getting changed. It felt weird knowing that he'd be watching her. But he had other ideas. He took a step closer to her and whispered about helping her and the next thing she knew, his hands were all all over her. Did this mean that he didn't want to go surfing anymore? Her mom was in New York so she didn't have to worry about that, but who knew when Ben would be home. But did that really matter? What could her brother possibly do?
Eden smiled. "Well...maybe we should could at least close the door in case Ben comes home," she said moving to the door. She shut and locked it and then turned around, leaning against the door for a moment, looking at Cole. What was she doing? She should be getting ready to go surfing but the look in Cole's eyes said otherwise, and well, Eden couldn't really resist. Eden just wasn't so good at that resisting thing.
She pressed her lips together, "Okay, all good now," she said as she made he way back over to him. "So where were we?" she asked with a smile. Surfing could wait, right?

Cole lay in Eden's bed, glancing lazily across the various objects in her room. His mind registered nothing, and he was simply content to bask in the heat of their actions. Her arm lay across his chest, their naked bodies intermingling as both took the time to catch their breaths. His mind kept going back to moments of the deed, recalling her hair on his legs or his hands on her back. Reflection was Cole's after sex cigarette.
A ray of sunlight shifted into Cole's face, and he looked over at the window. The sun was getting low, likely too low for the pair to get any surfing done that evening. The curse of winter, as it were, but Cole shrugged. If he were going to miss out on one of his favorite activities, it might as well be in the arms of a girl like Eden. He lifted his head to look down at her and smiled.
“We should probably get going,” he said as he kissed the top of her head. Sliding out of the bed, he began searching for his clothes. “I still need to swing by my place, so we'll be a little late to the fire. But that's no prob.” He pulled on his boxers after retrieving them from the top of a shelf, then slipped on his jeans, and flashed a grin back at Eden. Cole was obviously quite satified with himself. “Sorry we didn't make it to the beach.”
