Wynn had taken a couple of cookies with him to school that morning, sure not much for nutrition but every knows that holiday food calories do not count! The night before spent with Julia and the group was rather fun, something different that just sitting at home thing about certain people.
Speaking of certain people, he checked his phone again. He didn't delete the text from Haley. He was going to set her straight, it wouldn't be pretty but the truth had to be told at last and if she tried to one up him he'd blab about her and Cameron. Dirty trick? sure! But he had seen the error of his ways with Julia and with Haley.
As he headed to locker 112 there was, no doubt,one of the plastics leaving something there. He approached with caution. The girl looked at him and snorted lightly. "If your looking for Haley, she's not here!" Her hoity toity attutde would come crashing down in a minute.
"No, just looking for my pet tarantula I think it went by here, oh its right on top of your head!" He lied as the girl screamed shaking her head then ran down the hall in near tears. Another dirty trick but he was sick of their attitudes and it was time someone put them in check.

Haley woke up semi happy. She and cam had a good night. It was fun. She was actually home on time. Haley's dad could almost kiss Cam. It was quite funny. Haley was nervous. She knew Wynn would be upset, but this had to be done. She had to talk to him. She had to let him yell and have it out. She deserved it. She knew what she did. Playing with his heart. But in the end she made her choice.
Haley walked up from behind as some girl was leaving something in her locker. She laughed as Wynn told her about the spider. it was funny. She shook her head and smiled, "That was cold, she sill be in the bathroom for an hour looking for that spider. But it was funny."
Haley walked around Wynn and to her locker. She opened it up and the note feel. Out she picked it up. It was the information she requested about the party on Friday. She pocked it in her purse. Haley took the card and chocolates out that she had meant to give Wynn the day before. She took out and exchanged books and then closed her locked. "I meant to give these to you yesterday. feel free to do what you want with them." She sighed. "Okay I am ready. Go ahead and scream and yell. i deserve it." She knew it was coming so why deny it and apologize. She could do that when he was done.

"Yeah its time someone starts putting the Barbie girls back in their boxes." Wynn said which took a jab at Haley. "I know I'll make someone's hit list, it's nice to be wanted."
"Me? Angry, why should I be?" Wynn tried to let everything go but it was hard. "I mean you basicly lied to me then end up with someone even lower on the totem pole. I don't know why you'd have an inkling that I would be angry." He let out a light guffaw. He took the card and candy from Haley. "Thanks." This made things a little akward with him, he hadn't expected anything from her.
He cleared his throat. "Truthfully, I want to thank you. Thanks for opening my eyes. I spent the night with people who don't really care where they stand in a social circle and guess what? We had fun. There were cookies and I drew a picture for someone and the group was interested in me, not if I was popular or how much money my family had." Part wasn't true he didn't know how the two blond kids from Gould stood in their social circle. "For once I felt human, so thanks." He smirked.

Haley shook her head and smirked, "Barbie...you read so many comics and all you come up with it Barbie. You could have called me a villain from any comic, but I get Barbie." She shook her head, "I deserve that. I played with your heart, but for the record I said I wanted to be friends and that's all we were. Friends. Just like Cam and me. I was his friend too. I am sorry if I led you on. I should not have, but I never once lied." She told him.
"As far a feeling human. That's a low blow even for you." She slammed her locker shut. "To imply I am not human is wrong. I am just as human as you are. I bleed and I get hurt just like. I also make mistakes and I hurt people too. I am asked you to meet me so I could say sorry. I am really sorry. I never meant to hurt you. I do care about you as a friend. I do and I am sorry that's all I feel. At least I think. No I do." Ah now she was confused. No she was not. She wanted Cam.
"As for your friends. Its convenient they took you back the moment I stepped out of your life. Had they been true friends they would have stood by you and been your friend even when I was your friend. You all talk about how I stick to my own, well so do you. Your friends would never accept me. They see me as some Siren who put you under my spell. If you ask me your friends are a tad judgmental and they get on my case. Look I do not want to fight, but I don't like people who judge me based on looks. I do not live a charmed life. I had to fight for my reputation. Trust me it was not easy. I have a past like anyone else." She told him.
"I am not making excuses, but I choose what was right for me and I know it hurt you. I am sorry, but like you said at least you got your friends back. At least until someone else comes along they do not like then you can say good bye. The same thing happened to Cam. You all ditched him the moment I talked to him and now look they took you back and not him. How's that for some harsh truth." Haley did not mean to sound mean. But she was sick of looking like the bad guy. All she did was talk to Wynn and Cam.
Julia and the others are the ones who wrote Wynn and Cam off for daring to speak to her. And now only when she choose Cam did Wynn get his friends back and look at poor Cam. He had no Friends. If they were truly friends then they would accept him not matter WHO you were friends with or dating. "Damn it. I just realized I need to take my own advice." She sighed and leaned against her locker.

Wynn flinched at the locker slamming shut. "You? Hurt? You didn't seem to be hurting yesterday when I saw you and Cam together, in fact it looked like you were enjoying yourself immensely!" He let out an aired laugh. "And sorry is supposed to solve everything? Oh well then thats just perfect! Makes everything such a lollipop world!! Where's the unicorns that eat rainbows and poop out butterflies?"
"As for my friends, they didn't exisit. I was never a part of the whole Justice League or whatever they called themselves. The ones who came by saw that I was down on my luck and offered support, and in fact a few of them go to Gould, so they had no idea about what happened. Yeah I was a gentleman last night and never talked about you." He had thought about her but that was it.
"What was right for you? Ohhh someone you could manipulate and mold into something they aren't. When you two are rejected by the "higher ups" don't come crawling back to me." He wanted to walk away but no his mouth kept going. "I always liked Cam, I never did stop liking him but you," he remembered Julia's words. "Your like the evil enchantress in fairy tales who make the knights turn on each other."
"Yes you do, after all the truth hurts." Wynn replied.

"Me an evil enchantress." Haley laughed, "If thats what you care to say, but ask around I am not evil. All I ever did was talk to you once and you started liking me. The only indication I ever gave that I might feel something more for you was when I kissed you. Up until that point I was just friends with you. So you liked me since I talked to you. All I ever did was what I always do, be friendly." Haley said to him.
"As for my friends. Well its time I took my own advice and not give a shit. If they like me I will still be there friend in the end. I should not be scared anymore about it. As a matter of fact I should be thanking you. After this I realized how stupid it was to want to hide you and Cam from them." She really had. When she said it to Wynn it sounded so dumb.
"I hurt you so be angry all you want." It hurt that he was angry. Even if she was not showing it. Everything he was saying hurt a lot. "If thinking of me as an evil enchantress is what you need then fine. IF i have to be the bad guy then so be it. But I never asked you to like me or for Cam to like me. You both just did. Not my fault. Looks like now you know how that girl Julia from the party felts. She liked you and you liked me. It happens and I am truly sorry. I hate to hurt people's feelings. Would prefer we jump into a time machine and go back in time and me never have talked to you at all. Look I want us to still be friends. Its like in Superman when Lois chooses to be with Lex over Clark. Lois and Clark were able to still be friends." Granted Clark ended up with Lois in the end but still.

"Hmmm, no, evil enchantress is too kind, your more like a succubus. Sucking the souls out of men and leaving their bleached bones out for the buzzards to pick any remains from. Graphic? yes but its the truth!"
Wynn was rather grateful he wasn drinking anything at that time, there would have been a spray everywhere. "You really think your friends would accept him and you together? I sense the devil is at play here." A small plan was concoting in his brain, it would be a long shot but it was worth trying. "I'll have to bring my video camera and get this recorded. You will be the biggest laughing stock of the higher eschelon and all I'll be able to do is say 'told you so!'"
"Adventures of Superman volume 289 number 89," he rolled his eyes. "Sure Lois went to Lex but then two issuses later, she saw her mistake PLUS she was carrying Clark's baby and then went back to him." He held a finger up to her lips. "Don't ever try to use comic book logic on me, I will that every time." The bell rang for the first class.
"I gotta go." He went down the hall and saw the girl he frightened eariler. He pulled out a slip of notebook paper and wrote a quick note. Giving it all nice neat folds he approached her, "Ummm Haley said to give this to you." The girl snatched the note and opened it, Wynn was quite pleased with her expression and he went off to class.
The note read "Haley R. is dating Cameron W."

Haley shook her head, "That is such harsh talk coming from a dork like you. I imagine you are pissed because I hurt you, so throw your words. i do not care. But know this...you just lost any shot. I can't believe I still had feelings for you and I was actually going to admit I felt guilty for agreeing to date Cam, but not anymore. I can only be nice for so long." She smirked at Wynn.
"Bring on your worst, because i assure you I can counter anything you bring. I might be a laughing stock, but I will be forgotten when someone gets embarrassed even more." She smiled. Yes Haley had a mean streak when provoked. "I cam here to say sorry and you give me a verbal beat down. its not like you were even in love with me. You liked me. Sorry my feelings are not the same anymore." She said.
"By the way. Cam is Clark and you are Lex." She smirked. Any feeling she had for Wynn were officially on the back burner. She was happy she choose Cam right now. Haley just eyed Wynn as he walked away. If he tried anything she would not hesitate to retaliate. Haley turned and walked the other way. She shook her Head. She tried to say sorry and he jumped down her throat. Whatever. Yes she was wrong, but at least she admitted it. Haley headed to class wishing she could forget that two faced little dork.
