Patch knew that Mal and Evan were trying to be nice, but single forever actually sounded like a good plan to him, and not just because of all the very excellent points brought up by his best friend. Being single meant he did not have to touch anyone else outside of a sports or concert-attending context, and that was just fine with him. So unless he found a fellow asexual, in which case he might consider a relationship simply for the companionship, he was fine with the idea of being single. "What's wrong with single..." He demanded.
"Hey, I am plenty mature," He insisted, trying hard to keep a straight face at this declaration. He knew that not many people thought he was mature, but since he didn't exactly care about the opinions of most of those people -- really, they were the same people who said that the Jonas Brothers were a serious musical force, so why should he care if they thought he was mature or not? "DJ Fluff?" His first reaction was to be insulted, but then he considered just how amusing it would be to actually go by that moniker, should he ever actually succeed in landing a DJ job, "Do I gotta credit you if I use that professionally? Cause if I do ever get to be a DJ, I'll need a name."
He wasn't entirely comfortable with the idea of asking two girls to streak; that request went against all that he'd been taught about the proper deference due to the fairer sex. You were supposed to make sure that they did not get leered at inappropriately, not ask them to subject themselves to the salacious leers of (almost) every man in the room.
"Oh, exploding cake! That'd be ace!" He enthusiastically approved of Mal's idea. He wasn't sure how they would actually get fireworks into the cake so it would explode, but the idea was still terribly amusing. "We just need some practice, is all," He disagreed when Evan alluded to last month's fireworks fiasco, but he couldn't help but return the other boy's grin. He should have felt more guilty, he knew they had done wrong and he was glad the cat (and the girl) had escaped unscathed, but it had looked so cool - destruction always did.
"Aw, yeah, you'd better come through." He warned with a laugh, "If you haven't thought of somethin' awesome by lunch time, you're gonna let us all down. Brit might lose all faith in you."

Mal laughed, "Me and Brit streak...no way. I don't think so. JJ will kill me and then you for that." She smiled. "You think Brit would need a stick? What girls would she need to fight off." Mal said joking. "That would actually be funny. You both streaking and Brit running around with a stick...now that would make a good music video." Mal actually like the idea, not that it would happen but still.
"Glad I could help you with your name. If I get the credit its all yours." DJ fluff had just come to her head, but if he liked it enough to use it professionally then so be it. Mal did not mind. She was a creative person and that would show it off. "Thats what I thought. Exploding cakes would be cool. But Ev has a point. What would happen if the cake went crazy. Still sounds funny."
She looked at Evan. "I am with him, what could be better then exploding cakes." She smiled, "But I am all ears for what you come up with. Just remember who we are pranking. I want something that will make them scream and run. Always makes for the best videos." She put her camera away. If anyone could come up with a good prank it was Evan. Between the three of them they had the perfect team. Evan came up with the prank. Patch helped pull it off and Mal filmed it.

“Ok, maybe stay away from fireworks tonight. But, you’re right Patch. We really should get some more practice. We are so on this weekend!” he laughed, thinking that the weekend was shaping up to be pretty good. First, party crashing that night as a prelude, then snake shopping, wheelchair racing and possible fireworks. And to top it off, Evan heard talk of another party on Saturday night, one that actually sounded like it would be fun. He figured he might check it out. Along with whoever else he could drag along.
“You kidding?! That would make the best ever video! Perfect for The Rioters!” he exclaimed, really keen on the idea now. “And nothing wrong with being single. It’s awesome! Ah, except when you’re dating Brittany Barnes.” Evan quickly added, trying to save his skin in case Mal mentioned something later on. Who knew what girls talked about when they got together?
“Let you down, huh? Have Brit lose faith in me? Thanks for putting the pressure on.” Evan smirked, playfully giving Patch a jab in his arm. “I’ll think of something. Come on, you forget who you’re talking to here? I’m the master of pranks! I’ve never let you down before, I’ll come up with the goods.” he grinned, rubbing his hands together as if to emphasise this. “And then, you guys will worship me, and Brit will throw herself at me. Oh yeah, it’ll be that good.” he laughed. “As long as I make Aly, and hopefully birthday boy or girl pissed, for a treat, I’ll be happy. Whose party is it that we’re wrecking anyway?”

Brown eyes flashed quickly to Mallory and shoulders heaved in a shrug when Evan asked whose party they were crashing. That was one question among many that Patch didn't know the answer to. "Dunno. Some prep snob?" He suggested. That had been his assumption, in any case, as his slender evidence that was Aly's attendance and the location pointed in that direction. Beyond those two facts, and the time it was scheduled, he had no further knowledge. "Doesn't matter, does it? Unless it's Coco," He added, recalling that she was exactly the sort of person to throw a fancy party at The Standard, and he knew that Evan disliked the idea of pranking her now he worked with her. "She hasn't mentioned any fancy parties, has she?" He prodded, knowing she would be unable to keep a party a secret. She would want everyone to know, he was certain of it.
"Sorry, you're right," Patch sighed in mock apology, "You've never come up with a bad prank." And it was true, Evan came up with the best ones. Although perhaps the two of them were just a little bit too easily amused, and found most everything to be funny. That just meant that life was more fun for them than for everyone else; at least, that was what the soccer player told himself. Granted, he took things a little more seriously than Evan did sometimes, especially himself, which was probably one of the reasons Evan was more popular, but he didn't quite take himself seriously enough to not participate in the stupid stunts his friend came up with.
"Sure, you'll get all the credit, I'll put it on my website, with a little link to your photography site or whatever," He assured Mal about the name. "I'll make sure to grab the best dance music I have for my hijacking, don't you worry, I won't subject you to anything too nuanced. Although I may throw in some Dominik Eulberg, hope you don't mind, but bird techno is kind of awesome."

"Nice save." Mal said to Evan. "Brit throw herself. i have never seen Brit throw herself, but that would be quite funny to see. I think thats wishful thinking Ev." Mal said with a smile. "She might lightly jump." Mal laughed. "But I do not think you will disappoint with Brit watching. So I have faith."
Mal scratched the back of her head, "I know its one of Aly's friends from Silver. Someone she knew in New York. A rich person, but don't know if its a boy or a girl. You will have to ask Brit that. All i know is they are Rich and go to Silver, so sorry bud, but I think that leaves Coco out." Mal said looking at Patch.
"Sounds like a good deal to me. Why does it not surprise me you would connect it with some crap like bird techno. Great sound, but still lousy. there is much better. Couldn't you have picked I don't know Reggae or some punk music. it has to be bird techno." Mal shook her head. "Then again i do have to give you a smidge of credit. I have no doubt Bird techno will live up and be semi good. Not as good as the stuff i like but good. I still think you could use a few lessons in what good music actually sounds like." Mal said to Patch as the bell rang.
"Got to go can't wait to see what you guys come up with. See you tonight. Bye." Mal said before putting her camera away and heading off to class.

It was a relief to know it wasn’t Coco’s party. It was too late, in his mind, for a change of plans now, and he wouldn’t want to pull a prank on her, and have to put up with her whinging at work. At least, that’s what he reasoned to himself. Though, really, he did, in an odd way, kind of like her, even if she got on his nerves. But the fact that Patch brought her up in the first place surprised him, was his best friend onto him already? He obviously wasn’t hiding his friendship, or acquaintanceship, or whatever it was he had with the blonde well. Not that he felt like he needed to hide anything, he was the type to easily get along and be friends with anyone, he just couldn’t see Patch and Coco getting along that well, kicking back, chatting about Patch’s music and Coco’s movies. In fact, the thought of it brought a smile to his face.
“I’ll make do with a light jump.” Evan shrugged, before grinning. “Hey, it’ll be good, real good, you just wait and see missy. She might just jump me yet.” Talk about putting the pressure on himself now. But, Evan did love a good joke, and the chance to do one.
“Bird techno? Sounds awesome. You would make a mad DJ.” Evan grinned, enthused. He was all for indie, but before he met Patch, Evan’s tastes had been a little more skewered towards mainstream. But now, Patch was getting him interested in all sorts of cool stuff. “Yeah, what you’ve got will be far better than whatever the preppies pick.”
Throwing a quick wave Mal’s way when she walked off, Evan turned back to Patch with a grin. “Ok, I’ll think on it during class, come up with something. Not like I would have anything else to do.” he laughed. “We should meet up at lunch then, to do all the planning and evil laughing. I’ll give the caretieria a shot, we should be safe now.” With another quick wave, he turned and headed off to his first class.
