“Yes, I’ll throw it out.” Dena agreed, just managing to stop herself from rolling her eyes at her stickler for the rules sister. It never ceased to surprise her, that her siblings could be so closely related and yet so different, especially Brandon and Celest. If it wasn’t for the fact that all the Zouvelekis looked so alike, she was sure people wouldn’t even think they were related on first impressions. And yet, even so different as they were, if anyone outside the family did something to one sibling, they took them all on. It was a scary sight. Even ‘tough guy’ Brandon was protective of his Quins.
“Nope, no plans. I wanna do something though, it’ll be too boring otherwise, doing nothing on Saturday will get too boring. I might just hang out at the mall.” she suggested. “Or I suppose hanging out at home, surfing YouTube wouldn’t be so bad.” She said this with just the slightest of smirks on her face. She was sure no one in her family knew why she was quite so enamoured with the website, and if they couldn’t guess, when she thought it was obvious, she wasn’t going to let them in on her little secret. Caitlin just looked really...hot dancing around in those little outfits, singing songs Dena never heard of before. Yes, she was a perve, but she was a cute perve, so she thought that was forgivable.
Laughing as her sister reacted exactly the way she thought she would at the mention of skipping, she shook her head when Celest changed to apologising instead, making a promise Dena had heard before. “Don’t worry about it, that’s just you.” she smiled. “It’s like Brandon and Julian trying to behave and not muck up all the time. It’ll be impossible, it’s just them. Besides, it’s probably good they have someone looking out for them. Cause when they get in trouble, we usually do.” she laughed, knowing how much that was something Celest avoided.
“Speaking of mucking up, did you hear about the prank, with all the farm animals, that was pulled on all the cheerleaders, a couple of days ago?” she asked. “I first thought that our brothers were responsible, but no way, it seems too clever and well planned out to be them.” Dena giggled. “And they haven’t busted who did it either! I think it’s funny!” She wished she’d been there to see it, not that she’d get close to the locker room, but it would have been funny to see the hot cheerleaders run out of it screaming. But that had been one of the few practices she’d missed. Such a devoted supporter of cheerleading squads such as her couldn’t afford to miss too many of them. Though she had noticed, since she started kinda dating Caitlin, she hadn’t been going as often. It was better to look up close.

Celest smiled when Dena confirmed that she wasn't just going to leave her trash on the fountain. Celesy knew that she was kind of the odd one out in her family. While all of her siblings were unique and different, Celest was the one who sort of stuck out like a sore thumb. She was the wild card that really seemed to not belong. After all she was the only one who was suck a stickler for rules. And also probably the only one who preferred spending her time alone. But then again, who could blame her when she was constantly surrounded by people?
"Yeah...the mall. I was thinking about stopping by the book store. Maybe going to the fabric store...picking up some new trims," Celest said with a shrug. She didn't really get what he sister saw in youtube. Sure it wasn't a horrible site. She'd watched videos on it before, mostly for how to's on techniques she wanted to learn or if she wanted to listen to a song that she didn't already have in her music library. But spending hours upon hours on the site? Celest just didn't get it.
"I suppose," Celest said when Dena pointed out that was just who she was. She liked that part of it but she didn't like the way she was being compared to the way Brandon was because everything he did bothered her so much. "Yeah I guess, someone needs to be the watch out," Celest said, "but I always end up getting roped in and getting in trouble just the same," Celest said. "I've been in trouble all most as much as the rest of you," she pointed otu.
"Oh I did hear about that," Celest went on about the farm animal prank. Then again, who hadn't heard about it. People were talking about it all over the place. "Yes, I figured it wasn't Brandon and Julian because they would have gotten caught, or at least been bragging about it, which they haven't been," Clelest pointed out. She knew her brothers and she knew that when they actually did pull off a prank without getting caught, they bragged. If they had pulled this off, the rest of them would have heard about it.

Not that she had anything against books specifically, but Dena had never been a big reader. And it didn’t help the fact that on those rare occasions she had money she didn’t want to waste it on books she probably wouldn’t read again, nor did she see the fun in spending time trawling through a library. Her kind of books were the ones filled with pictures, and when you could find any information you wanted on the net, and with so many fiction books being made into movies, she could find much more fun ways to spend her time.
“Well, then maybe we should go down to the mall together? Get someone to drop us off, then go and do our own thing, maybe meet up for lunch afterwards.” she suggested. It wasn’t like she had a thing against spending time with her sister. They were very different of course, Celest seemed a bit different to all her siblings, but she was just more reserved, as Dena saw it. She just knew that if they hung out with each other all morning, she follow Celest to her stores, then her sister follow her to where she wanted to go, both would spend a big chunk of their morning completely bored. She couldn’t really see Celest enjoying hanging out at the comic book store, or the arcade.
“It’s true, you do get in trouble an awful lot, especially when you never do anything wrong.” Anything at all, she realised, and it made her laugh just that little bit harder. She did feel sorry for Celest, she knew how appalled her sister was by rule breaking, and how much she would hate to be blamed for that, but Dena also couldn’t help if that fact made it more funny. “I don’t think that’s going to stop anytime soon though. Not for as long as we’re in school. They like roping us in.” Dena quite liked it, getting involved in a bit of trouble. It was all in good fun after all.
“You’re right, I didn’t even think of that! I think they like bragging about their pranks even more than they like going through with them. Though they get caught a lot more than they brag.” she sniggered. That also meant that on the times she joined in, they were busted quite a lot. But detention was often worth the end, usually hilarious result.
“Ah, so don’t feel like algebra today.” she complained, and though she normally would be very tempted to skip, she’d told Celest she wouldn’t, and so would feel far too guilty. Damn, annoying guilt. She was pretty sure she had some sort of homework for it too. She would have to try to do it during drama, and hope that the teacher during that class didn’t pay too much attention. “Hope it’s a big dinner tonight, I’m so hungry still.”

"Maybe," Celest said. After all there was a book store in the mall but there wasn't really a fabric store. Even a craft store would probably do for what she needed this time, but those also weren't usually in malls. But she supposed that if Dena was making an effort to hang out with her that she should probably just go with it. After all, Celest always felt like she was the odd one out. Maybe she should hang out with Dena more...be more social. While she loved book stores she knew that it wouldn't take all morning, but maybe she could try doing something Dena liked. Who knew...maybe it would actually be fun? "Yeah, okay," she agreed, wondering if Dena would wrangle their other siblings into coming along as well.
"Yep," Celest said with a sigh, shaking her head when it was mentioned that she still got in trouble a lot. "Well, that's Brandon and Julian though...dragging everyone down with them," she said, surprisingly with a little laugh as if she was actually accepting them for once. It was just so frustrating, and if she didn't laugh a little about it she'd probably start complaining and annoying Dena once again. No matter what Celest did, it seemed that they'd never listen to her and she'd always get dragged down with them anyway. It was hopeless.
"Yeah, I think they do too, sometimes," Celest agreed. "I just wish they could brag without actually doing it," she said. The only reason the bragging bothered her is because it was usually triggered by them doing something that she didn't like. If they bragged about the idea, well, she could deal with that as long as she knew they didn't actually do it. "I think they brag even when they do get caught sometimes," Celest said. "They just like the attention I think. I don't get it. There was so much attention when the cameras were on us all the time. I'm personally glad all that's gone. I don't want attention," she said. She knew that she wasn't exactly preaching to the choir though. She knew that Dena shared that love for attention. She supposed that Dena was just less annoying about it.
"I agree that math isn't really much fun," Celest said, giving her sister a bit of a break since she already agreed to go to class. She knew the Dena wouldn't lie to her. "But it's Friday--just think about that. Once you get Algebra over with, you'll get two days rest from it," she pointed out. The thought that Dena didn't do her homework of course didn't cross Celest's mind. Celest always made sure to have all of her homework done, and often scolded her siblings when they didn't do the same.

“Great!” Dena smiled, glad to have some sort of plans for Saturday now. Though she was looking forward to it, she made herself sound just that little bit more excited, trying to keep Celest from changing her mind. She had half expected her sister to say no in the first place, she knew how much she liked time to herself, how she liked to hole herself up and read or make costumes. Not that there was anything wrong with that, that was what she enjoyed and that was fair enough. But still, everyone needed company sometimes, to get out and have fun, and if Celest wasn’t going to take the iniative on her own, Dena was just going to have to help her. Siblings were meant to look after each other after all.
She wouldn’t have termed it as Brandon and Julian dragging them all down. Despite the fact that Celest thought the opposite, following the rules completely all the time got boring quick, and there was no harm in bending a few, or even breaking one or two minor ones, to liven things up for a little while. In fact, it was their right as teenagers. Everyone expected teenagers to muck up once in a while, so it was wrong not to. And they only had a short timeframe to be teenagers, might as well take advantage while it lasted. It was good that Celest finally managed to laugh about it though.
“It is nice to get some privacy.” Dena agreed, though she hadn’t minded the cameras, even came to quite liking having an audience. But it was nice to dance around in her pyjamas, singing theme tunes to TV shows, without having a million people watching her do it. “I do miss the attention though, just a little bit.” she giggled, knowing full well that would be obvious to Dena.
“I know! Two whole, non school days! With shopping! And bowling!” That was an exciting thought, and she was going to make sure she didn’t do anything even remotely related to school during both two days. That was only a quick fire way to ruin a weekend. “Ah, suppose we better get going to class. Unless you’ve changed your mind, and you want skip?” she asked in earnest, before laughing. “I’m kidding, I’m kidding.”

Celest nodded in agreement. She was kind of glad about Saturday too. Even though she wasn't use to having plans both days of the weekend, but she'd have at least part of Saturday and Sunday afternoon to do her own thing and get her weekend homework completed. She also had tonight. So all and all, Celest figured that maybe this attempt to break out of her shell a little and hang out more with her sister wasn't such a bad thing.
"Definitely," Celest agreed about having more privacy now. She knew that her sister did like the attention from the show...some of her other siblings agreed with that too, but she was pretty sure they all agreed that it was nice not to be followed around all of the time and be able to do something without worrying that it was going to be aired on national TV. For Celest it was a huge relief. While she'd never openly complained about it all and always remained composed and calm in front of the cameras, she never liked them.
"Yes, it will be fun," Celest agreed with a nod. She knew that Dena planned to do no work during the time. She also knew that Dena planned to not do any work. Celest of course would bother her later abotu that...make sure she got her homework finished at least. That's what Celest did. She ended up playing the part of parental figure among the quints. She know that it wasn't a part they particularly liked, but someone needed to do it.
"Yes, we should," Celest agreed about heading to class. "At least the day is almost finished, right," she reminded her sister, one more reminder that she should skip. "You know that I won't skip class," she added, trying to make it sound light like it wasn't a big deal that Dena had suggested it again. She gathered up her trash form lunch and stood up, glad that she'd found Dena and hadn't ended up having lunch alone like she usually did.

“Yep, almost finished.” Dena grinned brightly, hopping quickly to her feet. And she could at least spend her last classes thinking her now seemingly planned filled weekend. As well as a now more pressing concern, how to spend tonight. It was a Friday night, so she really, really didn’t feel like spending it at home. It was usually how it was, she tended to leave things, plans, homework, studying for exams, just little things like that to the last minute, but it generally worked out okay. Though, the girl next door, who happily liked to prance around skimpily dressed in a room whose rather large window was easily seen from Dena’s room, would also be home. So a Friday night at home wouldn’t be all bad. “I know you won’t skip.” Dena laughed slightly, knowing that just the thought was enough to mortify her sister. “But you should try it. Just once. It’s fun! Live a little.” she grinned. “No? Okay, let’s go then.” Laughing, she grabbed the rubbish from beside her, seeing Celest cast a glance over it in case she forgot it. Throwing it into the nearby bin, she waited for her sister to do the same, before cheerfully linking arms, heading back into school. End of the week was always great!
