Mike wouldn’t have understood it in the slightest, which didn’t bother Evan, but the comment on Dare being okay with homosexuality made him burst out into laughter, wiping a few tears from his eyes. Lots of people didn’t always get Evan, he got a bit weird and hyperactive at times, but it would be boring not to be, he figured. He was still deciding whether or not to let him in on it, tell him that this was an awesome, well thought out matchmaking scheme. “Yeah, don’t worry about it. He’s fine with it.” he managed to get out when he calmed himself down, before the answer made him start laughing again. It would be hilarious, he thought, if Dare did have a problem with gay guys yet he wanted to date one.
He managed to sober himself up again, nodding at Mike’s comment about what happened in the park. “Yeah, just don’t get why that guy went off like that. Especially to Annie. Annie’s nice.” Evan grinned brightly. “She gives me cupcakes. Really good cupcakes. And she doesn’t mind if my mouth is still full of cupcake when I want another one.”
Seeing Mike get really excited over the boat, Evan caught Connor’s attention and winked at him, before the guy turned to look at his boyfriend laying on his chest. “Tell the truth Kian.” Evan joked. “The guy who owns the boat, he’s real mean. And scary. I bet he’ll be tough to work for. But it’s okay, you can distract him when it gets real bad. All you’ve gotta do is push a cute...is that what he calls you Connor?” he asked, before turning his attention back to the matter at hand, “Irishman at him, and he gets all lovey. You should be right then.”

Connor had wished he’d gone to the park clean up, even though he wasn’t associated at all with the two groups that held it, when he had heard this morning during class what had happened. It always angered him, people treating homosexuality like it was an evil. His father wasn’t the biggest fan of his sexuality, but at least he didn’t give him a hard time over it either, something Connor was thankful for. Plus, the way that it sounded, Phil hadn’t only had a go at that way of life, but put a lot of other people offside too. He was sure the guy would regret what he said soon enough. Connor just wished people weren’t so narrow minded.
At least none of his friends shared that affliction, and the only negative reaction he and Kian received when they were over-affectionate was from Patch, and he was that way with any and every couple, so it was nothing personal.
When Mike started excitingly rambling on about the boat, Connor grinned at Evan before tilting his head to look at Kian. “I don’t know about that Evan. I think he’s a softie, not at all mean.” he grinned. “And the term you’re looking for is ruggedly handsome.”

Kian chuckled, grinning as Evan and Connor goofed around. "See what I have to put up with, Mike," he said and laid his head on his ruggedly handsome boyfriend's lap. "Evan's right though, the landlord is horribly nasty git whose only redeemable quality is that he is full of grace and talent." Kian gave Mike a big cheesy grin to make it even more obvious he was talking about himself.
"But seriously, Mom remembers you and she said on the weekends we took the boat out you could stay in my room, just no overnight guests... I'm not even allowed that at home, but you can have guests on the boat, just not rocking parties unless we are invited," Kian said with a light laugh.
"You really don't know Dare? He's in our class... You may have seen him. He is thin and has long light blonde hair he can almost sit on. He always has a guitar with him," Kian said, trying to jog Mike's memory. Anyway his dad is Maddog Madison from Toxic Religion... Did you go see them with us in sixth grade? He's the drummer. I can't wait to see his apartment."

Mike did not get why Evan was laughing. He did not care, but he just did not get it. "Okay who gave him candy this morning? He is cut off for the rest of the day." Mike commented as he scratched the back of his head. Evan was a weird one. "Am I missing something?" He really had no clue what was going on. His mind was distracted. It was hard to concentrate when the fist print on your side was throbbing. Either way the idea of getting out of his house was sounding better by the moment. "If he does no mind gays, and his dad is Maddog Madison, then I defiantly want to met the guy." Mike said as he had listened to them all talk while he contemplated silently.
"That was the coolest concert ever. One of the best days I ever had." When a good day was being out late enough you got home and both dad's were asleep and could not beat you...that was just sad, but to Mike that was a good day. "I should have known you were talking about your boat...now I feel like an idiot." Mike said laughing at his own stupidity, cause he really should have known. Of course Kian had a boat. How could he forget.
Mike decided to move a little so he was not bending over. However, moving was easier said then done. Cause once he moved pain shot through him. Bad move. Next time move the other way, he thought. Mike winced and took a deep breath at the pain. He slowly move hoping he covered, but to be honest it was possible they saw the grimace on his face. It was getting harder to hide the pain, since he was actually feeling it now. usually he would be so high he would never notice.
"So Jam session....do you guys need snacks?" Mike said hoping to change the subject or distract the men, but who knows if it worked or not. Mike was now sitting with his arms over the bench and his legs stretched out. But he made sure his shirt was pulled down to cover his stomach, but even that was easier said then done.

“Nah, not missing a thing Mike!” Evan grinned, before conveniently changing the topic, addressing Kian. ”I saw it yesterday, the place was brilliant!” Evan exclaimed, more than happy to recall the good that happened yesterday afternoon, as he tried to forget the being kissed by a girl who wasn’t his girlfriend bad bit. “Everything looks really cool, and expensive. And it’s all like open and neat and stuff, nothing like my house. And, this is like seriously, so awesome! I mean it, so prepare yourself for the awesomeness.” He took a deep breath, then another, then another after that, to make them wait and build up the awesomeness even more, all with a big grin on his face. “I...got...to...play...Maddog’s drumkit! And not to talk myself up or anything, but I reckon I sounded pretty cool on it. Just between us.”
“Don’t even joke about something that serious Mike! You ain’t cutting me off my candy. You got that? None of you!” he warned. “I mean, what would I eat then? I would starve!” he laughed. He knew Mike would work out who owned the boat sooner rather than later, they were giving plenty of hints. “Feel like an idiot? I know that feeling.” he chuckled.
Out of the corner of his eye, he thought he saw Mike’s expression change, but when he turned to look, his friend was looking fine again. And the mention of snacks stole his attention. “Nah, no need, Dare’s got it all covered, there’s gonna be heaps of yummy food! I can’t wait, food and friends, all weekend long! Not much can top that. Speaking of, any of you got any food? I’m really hungry.”

“Hey, you’ve never had any complaints before.” Connor teased lightly, messing Kian’s hair up a little. “In that case Mike, feel free to hold a lot of rocking parties. I love the night life, I love to bogey.” he chuckled. He was just as happy though hanging out with just a few friends, or just his boyfriend. Especially his boyfriend.
He’d almost forgot how long that Kian, Mike and Patch had all been friends, until Kian mentioned the sixth grade. He kinda liked that, how Kian already had a group of old friends. The last thing Connor ever wanted to do was get so involved in a relationship that he forgot about everyone else, and Kian was just the type to easily make him forget about everything. But with friends like the ones they had, that would be impossible.
Like Evan, he also noticed a slight change in Mike, but unlike Evan, he actually paid attention. He couldn’t spend all his time staring at his gorgeous boyfriend after all. 80 percent of his time was quite sufficient for that. “You alright?” he spoke softly, trying not to bring too much attention to it.

Kian's stomach growled when Evan mentioned food. "Hey... does anyone have anything important this afternoon? We could go out to the boat, show him his new quarters and stop on the way for some subs, eat them on the boat, we could probably only miss one class. Its too nice a day not to celebrate," he suggested.
He noticed Mike's wincing too, but was fairly sure the other boy wasn't willing to talk about it. It could have been from the shooting, but Kian noticed the pain seemed to move around a lot. Kian didn't seem to take things seriously, but truly he just kept his mouth shut a lot and tried to find ways to help. "I have some Ibuprofen I take when I have pushed dance too hard," he said quietly, hoping Mike hadn't been self medicating again.

Mike just smiled, "Evan I think everything new is fun for you. Are you always this excited?" Of course Mike knew the answer to tat but it was refreshing. "You played his drums....dude...you are so mean...you should have invited us...." He said sticking his tongue out. Mike realized the more he hung out with his old friends the more he was slightly changing for the better.
He was still the guy who loved to party, liked things that pleased him and could be a good friend, but he was also less of a jerk, less of a druggie, and less of a possessive asshole. Which was good. Mike had his bitch moments, but who did not. for the most part Mike was on a fence. One way was his old life and the other was this new life with his old friends. He missed Kian and Patch. Some where along his path he lost touch. It was Nice to be getting it back.
Of course people would notice the wince. Thank god Julia was not around or else she would have no doubt called his ass out. Not that he would know for sure, but she seemed like the type. "I am good...you know...casulaty o being a jock, you are always in some sort of pain...working out too much." Mike told them. Lies were so easy. He looked at each one except Kian, cause Kian was closer to him then the others and he could tell if Mike was lying.
Offering drugs to an addict, even if it was Ibuprpfen..well there was no way Mike was saying no...come on..."Sure..if you don't mind..I could use some....I left my Advil at home.." Another lie, but it was so easy and just so natural, cause Mike was still in denial. he knew what he needed, but had not had that push...maybe a person could be the push he needed. However, even jade had not succeed in being that push...but still there could be someone else....who knows....
"I agree lets go off campus before Evan decides to eat us for lunch. I say eat Kian first.....I am too cute to eat..." Mike said laughing...

Kian was glad to see Mike having fun. Having fun with them was much healthier than with his other friends. They didn't care if Mike was healthy, just that he was there to lead him in their partying. He was kind of surprised Mike blamed the pain on Athletics, he didn't really think the other boy did that much of sports anymore. He pulled out the Ibuprofen and tossed it to Mike. It was over the counter so he didn't really see much harm in it and there weren't that many left in the bottle.
Kian turned an interesting assortment of shades when Mike suggested he be eaten. His mind went straight to the gutter and while he would have liked to say he was horrified by the idea, he couldn't. The thought of a bunch of good looking guys with their mouths on him... well let's just say it didn't leave him unaffected. "O....kay, " he said with a quiver to his voice. "Let's get going." He stood, grabbing his stuff and helped people up starting with Connor who he was very tempted to rub against.

“Nah, I’m not normally this excited.” Evan shrugged. “It must be a slow day, I’m usually a lot more ecstatic than this.” He looked around for something to throw at his friend, joking around, but seeing only his bag, which was too awkward, as well as Kian and Connor, who were even more so, he settled on taking off one of his shoes, pretending to throw it. “What can I say? I just had an awesomely mad morning, is all.” A really, really awesomely mad morning. But he wasn’t going to go into detail, a gentleman never told after all. Unless it was his best friend, who would get grossed out by it, both the make up sex, and the lovey dovey part, and make him laugh. It was allowed then.
“I know what you mean Mike, about being a jock. My joints are always bothering me.” Evan told them all, smirking at their expressions. “Hey, I am so a jock. I am a serious athlete. Just not in normal, you know, sports. But I am an athlete. Just like the guys from Jackass. We’re all just athletes. You don’t get a bod like mine without some serious working out.”
“Kian...sure, I can take him. Connor, hold him down. I know he’s your boyfriend and all, but it’s either him or you, so choose quickly.” he laughed. “Sounds good to me though. The subs, boat and celebrating. Not the eating Kian bit, I’m not that hungry yet. But, how’s this for an awesome idea?” he grinned, getting even more excited again, watching as Kian helped Connor to his feet. The speed which the guy was doing that wasn’t surprising him, he figured he was excited. “Why don’t we go after school instead, spend like a boy’s night on the boat? I’ll message Patch, tell him to come along. Or, bugger school, why don’t we grab Patch and go now?”
