This must be god's way of punishing her for all her evil deeds. Yet being evil was so much fun. The look on the losers face when they realize they got played, was such satisfaction. Raven prided herself on feeling no guilt and suffering no consequences. Although she had a tiny amount of guilt for drugging Isaiah and sleeping with him, but she had to win a bet. Of course it was not the ideal way she wanted to lose her virginity, but it must be done. Besides virginity was something that got in the way. It was easier just to get rid of the damn thing.
Besides anything that would piss her father off was a good thing. Raven had made sure to come home hung over and talking loudly the next day. Now shit was hitting the fan. First times never left girls pregnant....lie. god, how could she have been stupid enough to forget a condom. Raven had been so focused on getting Isaiah into bed that she forgot to remember the basics of sex, which was "No glove, no love." It was confirmed. Raven had talked with the doctor yesterday. Sure enough she was pregnant.
What to do. She did not believe in abortion, but if she had the baby she would be kicked out. Raven was finally suffering the consequences of her actions. She was being knocked right off the pedestal she had been standing on for so long. Whatever, she did it had to involve avoiding Isaiah. She did not need to deal with man drama. Hell she had been avoiding him since the night they slept together. She woke up the next morning next to Isaiah. She got dressed and smiled at Isaiah that morning and simply told him, "Thanks for the good time." Then winked and ditched him. She had successfully avoided him for that last few months. Although they did have classes together.
Raven sighed and leaned against her locker. She had the pamphlets in her hand. One was for abortion, which was not an option, another was for adoption and the last one was for keeping the baby. Wonderful. She was a walking and talking statistic. Raven slammed her door shut. She was in a war right now and god help the next person to get in her way. Which was sooner then she would have liked, cause as she backed up from her locker she felt a slam and then felt the pamphlets slip from her fingers. Raven turned around to scream at whoever thought it was smart to run into her. "Watch where you are going." She shot out before bending down to get the pamphlets before they were discovered, which was easier said then done.

Felipe huffed a breath born of sheer frustration. Why did it seem he was the only person who didn't have a clue where to go? Wandering aimlessly. So perhaps that wasn't quite accurate and had Felipe paused to actually look at other people he would have seen a good few who were just as lost as he was. It had all seemed so easy yesterday. He'd managed to find not only his but also Jonell's nearby locker. Now, though, they all looked the same as the ones on either side.
There was nothing for it... He had to find someone and ask for help.
Jessica. Perhaps he could find her... Felipe used his greater height to its full advantage and scanned over the heads of the majority of students around him, frowning a little when he drew a complete blank. No Jessica. Victor? No... He huffed another irritated breath and half turned to head back to the other hallway.
He hadn't gone more than half a pace when he bumped into something soft and yielding. He focused his attention back to a more normal level and staggered back a pace when the girl he'd collided with literally screamed at him.
Felipe's eyes widened in surprise at the onslaught, an apology already forming on his lips. He dropped down to help her gather up the leaflets that been dropped, one having fluttered across the corridor.
"Eu sou pesaroso," he said in a low voice. "I didn't see you there. I was trying to find my way and..." He handed her the one that gave information about abortion. He said nothing as he passed it back to her. It wasn't any of his business, after all. "Did I hurt you?" he asked. The collision had been heavy enough to make her drop her belongings, after all...

"They belong to a friend." Raven felt the need to defend why she had those pamphlets in her possession. She eyed the man who dared to speak. She really had no reason to be mad at him. He was just in the wrong place, at the wrong time. Yet he was cute. That gained him favor points. He handed her back the pamphlet on abortion and did not even ask why she had the pamphlet, that was another plus. As irritated as she was, this guy was calming her down by not adding to the situation, which at the moment was the best thing he could do for himself. Cause Raven was in a mood to take someone's head off. She crumbled up the pamphlet and threw it in the trash with a force she had only used in the few physical fights she had been in.
"The only thing hurt is my pride at the moment.' She said her voice dripping with sarcasm. She really should be in anger management. It was ridiculous to be mad because someone bumped into you. How could she blame him for being lost. Wait, she could blame him. he was an idiot for being lost. How the hell did you get lost in a school that was like a prison. Every hallway led the same way, to hell.
Raven stuffed the other pamphlets into her bag, although now the cat was out of the bag so to speak. If he saw the one pamphlet he probably saw the other one about adoption and the one about keeping the baby. "So can I help you or are you going to just stare at me all day? If you want a picture just ask." Raven said her defense mechanism coming up. She needed a reason. Just one. If she could bait the gut into a fight then she would be justified in yelling at him, and therefore releasing her own anger onto a man who hardly deserved it. Poor guy. Raven's guilt was eating up at her. An innocent man so far just like Isaiah. "Great now i grow a conscious." Raven said softly.
her heart began to get heavy at the thought of hurting an innocent guy. And so far this guy was innocent. he had done nothing but ask how she was, and she wanted a verbal fight. She was not sure if he heard her or not, but it did not matter, "Sorry....I am not in a good mood, so I suggest you scram, if you know what is good for you." She said with a warning in her tone.

Felipe half smiled at the girl. He knew a bad mood when he encountered one and far from upset by her response to his words of concern he found them to be... refreshing. Far too often in the past situations such as this led to simpering attempts at flirting and he was glad that was proving not to be the case. Only one other person really treated him in such a manner and that was what he liked so much about Jessica Pruitte.
"I am sure you could help me," he replied. "The problem is I highly doubt you *want* to. As for any mood..." He shrugged slightly. "You have no need to apologise. I am pretty sure I'm not the direct cause and while my inattentive clumsiness hasn't helped I can promise you our collision was purely accidental... therefore you have no reason to be sorry."
He peered at her, that half smile still lingering. "I wouldn't mind one, though."
"Excuse me?"
Her eyes actually flashed. Felipe had only read of that phenomenon in books. He grinned. "A picture. I wouldn't mind one. This encounter is one I'd really like to remember!" He laughed slightly but not at her so much as at their situation. "I am Felipe," he said. "Shall we try this again from the beginning?" Problem was, Felipe had an inkling the ending would be more or less the same no matter how many retakes they made.

Raven smirked and just gave him a look, "Points for being perceptive. If given the choice, I probably would not help. After all what would be in it for me?" Raven asked with a challenging glint in her eye. She was now turning from vengeful to wanting to play. Perhaps she could push some buttons. See just what made this guy react or no react, maybe even see what makes this Felipe tick. Although the idea of possibly making Felipe mad, was not the best idea. After all him mad, her mad, could led to a very explosive end, however, Raven was defiantly in the mood for a game.
"Nothing." Raven said as her eyes flashed with what someone could call a deadly glare, but of course it was only for a moment. "But I won't deny a picture." Raven could not fathom why he would want to remember this, but it was interesting. "You would want to remember this...either you are weird or actually enjoy having your head bitten off, which would be a first. I will let you know when i decide on that. Right now I am leaning toward weird." Raven had to suppress a laugh when he asked for a start over. A start over, did those actually exist. No one could ever start over.
"If only life had a rewind button, then perhaps your wish might be granted. But since you asked so nicely. "Her voice full of sarcasm. " And you did say earlier that I don't have to be sorry, I will give you this. I'm Raven." She did not move to shake his hand or give him a hug. All Raven did was stare intently with a small smile, "So tell me are you really lost or was that just some cheesy pick up line?" A small laugh escaped her lips.

Isaiah looked in the mirror in the locker room, checking to make sure he was dressed in a way that would represent good taste and high standards. His mother always went on about how at all times he was a representative of Christ and that even his last name should remind him that he worked for the King of Kings at all times. He rolled his eyes at that thought and wished that he hadn't been born with a calling on his life. He loved God and he even loved the work he did with Kid's church, but he somehow had a feeling that his having perfect clothing was not going to determine whether or not someone would choose to follow Christ or not.
He had a feeling it was his mother's version of religion that was giving him so many doubts, at least he hoped so. He had already accepted a full scholarship for Notre Dame in the fall and he didn't want to take their money under false pretenses. He sighed and dragged his comb through his medium brown hair one more time before taking to the hallways again.
Isaiah had been storing things in his gym locker lately because then there was less chance he would run into a certain very attractive girl that apparently was his own personal Delilah. His memory of the incident was very fuzzy, but apparently not even armed with scissors, she had cut off his locks and brought him to his knees with hardly any struggle at all. He was still trying to figure out how he could do penance for something he could barely remember. All he knew was when he had woke up, he hadn't been alone and it was quite obvious they hadn't been playing tiddlywinks.
Raven... even her name was mysterious and dangerous. His mind might not remember but his body did. Catching a glimpse of the slightly younger beauty made his heart beat faster and his breath hitch. It was like hitting a wall at top speed leaving him dazed and confused.
Rounding a corner, Isaiah skidded to a stop seeing the object of his thoughts in the act of flirting with some new guy. He was completely taken aback by the anger that flooded him. He didn't even know the girl... well in the biblical sense he did, but they had barely even spoke. He turned away to face someone's lock in an attempt to calm himself to the point he could breathe without growling.
Never really having considered himself to be primitive, it was a shock to find out that inside Isaiah had put more stock into 'claiming' Raven than he believed himself possible of. The question now was how to get away from a potentially explosive situation without totally losing his cool. The girl had barely acknowledged him since their night together. She obviously had more experience than he had, because it hadn't seemed to affect her at all. Isaiah had been completely unable to thrust if from his mind however. Turning slightly, his eyes looked her over and he felt his brains turn to liquid and head south. Why did she have to be so damned beautiful.

"I'm sure I can think of some way to repay you for helping me," Felipe replied with a grin. THe gleam of amusement in his eyes told her that a) he knew she was flirting and b) that he was responding along the same lines.
"As for my reasons... I am Brazilian. By nature we are hot-blooded, romantic... and totally insane. There you have it," he said with a lift of his shoulders and his hands. "But as my head is still attached to my body I think you're failing in your task." He leaned a little closer. "You need to try a little harder if your goal is to decapitate me, Raven... An unusual name... Why do I get the feeling it was one well chosen?" A teasing tone had entered into his voice but it was still far from annoyed. In fact, Felipe found himself thoroughly enjoying their exchange.
"As for pick up lines. I wish I could say it was so but..." His shoulders lifted once more. "I am truly lost. The hallways and lockers all look the same to me and as I still don't know more than a handful of people here I don't really know who I can approach for directions. You, it would seem, are my captive audience right now and so I shall pressure you for help."
He shot her a warm smile as he pulled out his phone, completely unaware of the boy watching. A quick press of a couple of keys before he leaned close to her side, their heads close to touching. "Smile," he said as he beamed at the in-built camera. "You said I could have one so..." He glanced at her, noting her less-than-amused countenance. "A grimace is fine, too... if you prefer!"

Oh so he thought she was flirting did her...okay maybe she was, but Raven did not flirt by normal terms. She was not giggly, or cutesy, or touchy feely, no...her flirting was a verbal match up. She flirted by getting under the other guys skin and watching them squirm, which was proving to be quite difficult. it was not nice when a man could take her verbal thrashing and throw some sort of one back. Although his words was far from thrashing, but they did rise to the challenge. which was a change for once. This guy might make a good friend. The word being 'might' since raven did not do well in the friend zone.
"What makes you think I want to decapitate you? That's just mean, I much prefer to think of it as....my way of welcoming you to Silver, or rather Gould. It's a Canadian welcome. Since I am originally from Canada and I am not conforming to the California way." Raven informed Felipe. She was not going to act like valley girl and be all like Oh my god, you are so cute. No way. That made her gag. "Well if you know the workings of dark poetry, then my name is defiantly correctly placed. I have a morbid since of reality. " Raven said with a smirk. "So tell me foreigner, why California of all places in the world to go? cause if its for the women or the beaches, you have chosen the wrong place." Raven wondered how if she refused to use his name, would he react, so she called him foreigner.
Raven was unaware that the man that was haunting her every thought and her dreams was around the corner. Isiah had been her first. he had taken her virginity and sadly raven felt some sort of connection to the idiot. Damn him for getting to her. The stupid man. he got to her literally. She was pregnant with his damn child. Her plans for college ruined unless she gave the child up for adoption. There goes Princeton, Columbia, Brown, Georgetown or Notre Dame..those were her top five college choices.
"If you really are lost, then perhaps you should go back to elementary school and learn about maps." Raven said once again trying to push buttons. it annoyed her when it did not work, but sadly this guy was proving to be a match. Which was good, sucked at the same time. "Well if me giving you directions will get rid of you faster..." Her words were not matching with what she wanted and anyone with a brain should be able to tell she was rather enjoying this. "Then fine, and as for repaying me, I am sure I can think of some evil way that will involve humiliation."
Raven nodded and leaned a tad closer to the phone, "Well I have to give you credit for balls. You are daring. it takes guts for a man to actually just take the picture." Raven did not smile, she slightly smirked for the picture. "So where are you going? I will make sure and point you in the wrong direction." Raven told him.

"Oh I know you want to decapitate me," Felipe countered with a wink after he'd taken their photo. He looked pensive for a moment. "I quote... 'either you are weird or actually enjoy having your head bitten off'." Felipe pursed his lips slightly and tilted his head to one side. "If that doesn't smack of decapitation then I don't know what does!" But I thank you," he went on and this time he dipped his head slightly in a bow. "... for your wonderful welcome." That glint was back in his eyes as he spoke. "And I was always led to believe Canadians were annoyingly benevolent. I'm glad to be proven wrong. "But as for why I'm here. My parents... They wanted to see if the USA was indeed the Land of Opportunity and so uprooted from Brazil to start over again here. "Had I been issued a map of the school I probably wouldn't be lost right now but all I was given was a locker number. And besides, he reasoned, "... had I not been lost then I would never have bumped into you and that alone would be a sin against nature. Fate, it seems, has drawn us together." One hand rested over his heart as he said those words - a blatent attempt to either make her laugh or to ellicite her wrath once more. Felipe didn't mind at all which direction Raven's reaction took. She was refreshing to talk to... even if he was constantly checking for a physical attack of some kind. "My locker number is... I forget but I'm sharing it with Victor Webber... if you know him. That said, if you are going to send me further away from my locker then perhaps I would be wise to go in the opposite direction. Unless... " He frowned. "You wouldn't double bluff me... would you? Say you will send me wrongly and yet really give me the correct directions knowing I will go opposite and I end up still going the wrong way." He ran a hand through his hair. "If I wasn't confused before I sure as hell am now!"

"I can honestly say I have never had my own words quoted back to me. But it means you are paying attention, good to know. You must have some set of balls, to be thanking me. Not many men do. Most men run scared. I take much pleasure in that." Raven said with a small smile. "The USA is defiantly the land of opportunity, but depends on what you are looking for exactly. You lack for fun thats for sure. Especially intimate, but you might find women willing to engage in lewd behavior." She commented. "However I am not one of them. So fate or not...you are going to be walking away alone." She informed him.
Raven had no problem insinuating that Felipe was only talking to her because of this so called Fate, and she had no problem implying he wanted to have sex with her. She could careless whether it was true or not, but the idea was out there. Now it was time to see his reaction the the ordeal. "I am not into strangers, and I have enough men on my plate." She said with a smile. "Besides contrary to popular belief there is such a thing called respect. I happen to be a feminist who believes in it, which is more then i can say for half the student body here."
Raven just shrugged. "No i do not know this Victor person, which means he is a lose.r Cause anyone worth knowing, i know, but I guess you will have to figure it out for yourself. Are my directions trust worthy or not? Just how mean am i is the question? And I assure you, I am very mean, and if I have not proven it yet, then I must try harder." Raven smirked in a challenging way and took a step forward. They were close, very close. which could be good or bad. She wanted to see if he would back down. of course she was not going to hurt him or touch him, but still. All she really wanted to know was if he would take a step back or ot. if he took a step back in her mind she won.
