The next time Cole checks his phone he'll have this text from Eden: Hey I really really wish I could go surfing this afternoon but I can't cause its my mom's last night in LA for awhile and we're doing dinner at Geisha House. Want to hang out tomorrow after school though? I had a lot of fun yesterday OOC: sorry since I'm leaving at the crack of dawn on Tuesday I figured it would be better to make Eden busy and then have her and Cole do something when I get back

Cole walked out of the ocean, pulling his board along with him. The weather was a little cold for surfing, but it didn't bother him too much. He mostly just liked getting out, which could be hard sometimes during the winter. He couldn't imagine living somewhere where there were no beaches, and fifteen inches of snow fell every year ruining everyone's desire to be outside. It was just no way to live.
His guitar and belongings sat in a pile near the taco shack. He usually set up near there, since the guys working the shack knew him well and could be trusted to watch over his stuff. He was also their main weed connection, which curried a lot of their favor. Grabbing his t-shirt to dry his hands, Cole checked his cell phone. He had a text from Eden, which made him smile. She had taken too long to get back to him and he had gone surfing on his own, but maybe she was on her way out.
Sadly, there was no such luck. Cole frowned, his head dropping just a little. He had been so looking forward to seeing Eden again, and he was disappointed to wait another day. On the good side, though, it would give him time to try to finish the song he was writing for her. He had gotten about half a song down after she had left his place, but he couldn't find and end for it yet. It worked out well anyway, as tonight was a school night but Friday night left open all sorts of possibilities. He knew of at least one beach bonfire that would be great fun if the nice weather held up!
Cole punched a few buttons on his phone, replying to the message. He determined he'd do his best to finish the song tonight, and at the bonfire tomorrow he'd play it for her underneath the stars. It was a play he'd used on girls before, but it usually worked well. Eden was a nice girl, and nothing had been able to distract Cole from her yet, which was pretty impressive.
“Bummer, but I'm up for hanging tomorrow night. You like bonfires? I'll find you at school, gorgeous”

Eden was in her room getting ready when she heard back from Cole. She smiled, glad that he wasn't mad about her getting back to him so late. It was just that when he'd originally texted, she'd been with Jett and hadn't wanted Jett to see it since she didn't want him to push his way into their plans. Then some stuff happened with Jett over lunch (meaning she slept with him again) causing her to be late heading back to school. Since she'd been late and a little flustered she'd forgotten about the text until she was home and getting ready to go out with her mom who would be leaving very early the next morning.
But all seemed to be well and Eden was looking forward to the next day already. Typing quickly and hitting send, she replied back: 'A bonfire sounds great! And if nothing else, I believe there is still an X on the floor next to my locker where its likely you can find me.'
