It had been roughly... 30 minutes since she last saw Jem and she was itching to see her again. What was she going to do about it? She texted her quickly.
*Hey, beautiful*
And then put her phone in her pocket as she walked out of the school. She had her sketch book and her journal with her and flipped her sunglasses down onto her nose. She wore her hair down like normal and wore a blue jean skirt and a lime green tank with a darker sheer off the shoulder shirt over it. She wore lime green flip flops and her makeup was done only slightly - eyeliner and mascara nothing else. She had her nails painted black with the middle finger lime green on each hand. She smiled at a few people as they passed her by and watched as her ex ran the other way after seeing her. She smirked at that. Good. She didn't need anymore drama anyway!
She leaned against her car and soaked up the sun a little. Some guys stopped and asked about her car pretty much thinking she would know nothing about it or what was under the hood but she surprised them greatly when she answered all of their questions and all correctly.
She didn't care if a guy thought she was a girly girl she liked to prove people wrong. Like all of the whispers that Jem and her wouldnt last in the beginning? Look at them now! She looked around the parking lot to see if Jem was even remotely close to coming out of the building.

Jem was on her way. She had gotten the text sort of. She heard her phone go off, but she wasn't able to check it. She figured it was from Otep. She had gotten detained going to her locker by getting stuck behind a group of girls in the middle of hall who were just sanding there blocking the path like no one else was around who might want through. She finally got where she was going and switched out her books. Now she was heading out of the school. Moving a little slow. She had gone to the gym that morning before school and her body was protesting her decision to get back into a routine after such a long absence.
Otep was sitting there talking to some guy who seemed to be hitting on her but most men knew all too well where that got them. He must have been new. They were talking about her car but Otep was barely paying him any mind as to his body language that was screaming flirt. Whatever it didn't even matter to Otep at this point. She looked for Jem as she spoke with this poor soul.
Jem came out of the building. Not looking like her usual self. She had black yoga style pants, flip flops, a tank, with a zip up hoody over that. Her hair was up in a messy bun. She looked like she'd just rolled out of bed. But today she really didn't how she looked. Which wasn't typical like her. But occasionally she these very casual days. She walked out through the parking lot. Spotting Otep's car and seeing a guy standing there. That car attracted men like bees to honey.
Otep looked down at her nails and pretended to be interested in the guy blabbing about his own car which hers could dust in .2 seconds. "Are you listening?" he asked. Busted. Otep looked up at him. "Yeah, sorry just have things on my mind." she said as she looked over and spotted Jem. She smiled. The guy looked back. "Oh." he said quietly. "Yeah." Otep confirmed and stood straighter.
Jem walked up to the pair and smiled. "Hey..sorry I didn't text you back. I couldn't get to my phone." she told Otep, barely acknowledging the guy who was standing there.
Otep smiled at her and shook her head. "No problem." she said gently as she touched her hand. "Ooh... dress down today? Lookin hot." she told her honestly. She liked when Jem didn't always do herself up.
Jem looked down at herself. "Yeah..well. I went to the gym this morning. And well.. yeah. I didn't bring extra clothes." she shrugged.
Otep smiled. "It's all good... you look beautiful nonetheless." she told her with a grin. She looked at the guy standing there. "Sorry, Bob." Otep said. "I belong to her." she smiled. "The name's Tim." he said. "Yeah... that's what I meant." she said as she then looked at Jem. "Have a good day." she told him as a sign to buzz off.
Jemima laughed a little to herself. She dropped her bags on the pavement and she bent over a bit working out some kinks in her back. She turned her head to the side. "Good..meeting...you..Bob...Tim."
Tim just rolled his eyes and walked off. "Lesbians." he muttered as he left. "He new?" she asked Jem hoping she might know.
Jem leaned to one said stretching the opposite arm over her head. "Hell, if I know. I've not seen him around before." she shrugged switching sides.
Otep laughed and shrugged. "Well he seemed to think who he was." she laughed and shrugged again and lifted a brow as her girlfriend stretched. "Uhm." she cleared her throat.
"What?" Jem laughed as Otep cleared her throat. "I needed to stratch...excuuuse me." she smirked. "The muscles are protesting todays workout session" she straightened back up. "Well, I don't know who he was, and I really don't care."
Otep looked at her. "Not what I meant and you know it." she laughed as she grabbed her girl's rear playfully.
Jem reached around and smacked her hands playfully. "Hey...no bruising the goods there lady." she teased.
Otep laughed and shook her head. "Well... sorry miss."
"That's more like it." she smiled. Leaning against the side of Otep's car now. Looking at her.
Otep laughed and sighed dramatically. "Gosh I can never do nothing!" she joked as she folded her arms playfully.
Jemima rolled her eyes. "Oh...poor poor baby." she shook her head. "You're just not allowed to have any fun, are you?" she teased.
Otep stuck her bottom lip out. "No."
"Bullshit...when is the last time anyone was able to stop you from doing anything?"
Otep laughed. "Neverrrrr." she grinned.
"Exactly" Otep was not one to be told she could not do something. She would do it or die.
Otep took Jem's hand and kissed the back of it. "Ok... let's do something." she said meaning that in every way possible.
Jem slipped her arms loosely around Otep's neck. Gazing into her eyes. "Let's do something, even if it's wrong?" she joked. "Whatcha got in mind?"
Otep grinned. "Ohh yess." she smiled as she put her arms lightly around Jem's waist. "Anything and everything." she told her with a devilish look in her eyes.
"I kind of figured that much, but I was looking for a slightly more specific answer." she laughed. "Like maybe soaking in a hot tub or something."
"ooohhh yess." Otep smiled. "And I'll give you a massage." she told her.
"Sold..." she smiled. "All right let's go. I've had enough school for today. Let's get out of here."
Otep smiled as she looked over to Jem. "Let's boogie." she said.
Jemima picked her bags up off the pavement and slung them over her shoulder again. Before putting them into the car.
"Get innnnnnnnnn." Otep groaned.
"I'm going as fast as I can. I can't just phase through objects. I'm not a superhero." she joked as she slid into the passenger seat and buckled her seatbelt. "There, happy now?"
"You are my superhero." she told her with a smile.
Jem laughed. "Someone must be in a good mood, they're throwing out all the corny lines."
Otep laughed at that. "Yeah well... good mood me." she smiled.
"I'm glad to see you in such a good mood. Anything in particular happen to put you in this mood?" she asked softly, making conversation.
"No... not really just the mere sight of you... this time not being corny just truthful."
"I'll accept that answer." she smiled slipping out of her flip flops and popped one barefoot on the seat. She leaned over and kissed Otep's cheek.
Otep smiled as she threw her car in gear and sped out of the parking lot leaving Tim staring out after them. "Poor kid." she laughed as she drove off.
Jem glanced back at the poor guy left standing there. She shrugged a little. "Yeah, poor guy, but better he find now than later. Right?"
Otep laughed and nodded. "Oh yeah... way better."
"So, don't feel too bad for him." she rested her head back on the read rest. Cracked the window slightly letting in a nice breeze.
She nodded and kept on driving. "I don't" she laughed
Jem turned her head slightly. "Yeah, I didn't think you would."
She grinned and winked at her. "You know me so well" she told her.
"Well when you spend as much with someone as I spend with you, you would have to be a complete idiot not to learn a thing or two about the person."
