Fallon gave Thad a smack over the head when he said out loud to Si about Fallon needing med. Great, just great. Now she would need to explain and Sebastian was sure to think she was crazy and never talk to her again. Wonderful. All because Thad had to say it out loud. Fal shook her head and walked back over to Sebastian. She gave him a soft smile and leaned over to whisper into his ear softly, "My sister is not as scary as she seems. Please do not take offense." Although Fallon knew Si was over protective and she loved her sister for it. Fal hoped Sebastian would not hurt her in anyway, cause she could really use a friend.
Fallon then cleared her throat and looked at Thad and his enthusiasm over the tour. "Umm the meds for me are um..they are um.." Fallon took a deep breath. "I have Bipolar I disorder for adolescents. And I need meds to help control my moods. Or else I can get a tad out of control." Fallon gave both Si and Thad a look that told them to pleas keep their mouths shut, because saying she could get a tad out of control was putting it very mildly. More like she could get really out of control. On the bright side Sebastian was the only person to know outside of the family besides Ezzie and Roxy.
"So about that tour...shall we..." Fal said holding out her hand, hoping Sebastien took it. She stayed quiet for most of the tour. it was fun really. She laughed when Thad asked about demons. "Thad he just moved here. I am sure he does not know about any demons in the house yet." She said with a light laugh. "Welcome to the cotton family, where paranormal is rather normal for us." She told Sebastian hoping none of this would freak the man out too much. "Remind me to give you my number before I leave. I would love to hang out again." She hoped he would too.

Sebastian smiled, wordlessly taking Fallon by the hand. He knew firsthand the feeling of being "different" from everyone else, and the incredible struggles with his own damaged psyche resulting from years of abuse. Anxiety issues plagued him, along with frequent nightmares, and the occasional panic attack triggered by the oddest of events. "C'mon.." spoke Sebastian, leading Fallon out of his room, "There's a lot more to see.." The pair walked out of the neatly organized bedroom of Sebastian Flambert, leaving the youngest Cotton alone. --------------------------------------------------- It was a thick book, bound in an attractive leather covering with a single rose design etched on the front cover in gold leaf print. Just like the rest of Sebastian's room, it seemed to have its own place on an antique wooden desk, half covered by a small stack of drawings created with the use of charcoal pencil. Both desk and diary had obviously been used recently, with a small amount of black charcoal residue noticeable on the surface of the desk. Journal de SebastianClaraSkillfully drawn on the first two pages of the diary by charcoal pencil, a small girl stared curiously out towards the reader, squatting down on what appeared to be a tile floor with a single bed in the background. Wide eyes expressed a maturity far beyond the girl's years, and an almost "motherly" air seemed to surround the sketch of the young child. ======================== Sebastian squeaked in delight as two fingers playfully prodded his stomach, and bolted happily down the stairs with Fallon in hot pursuit. What started as a humorous nudging match between the two teens quickly escalated into an all-out war when he impishly pelted her with a rubber bouncy-ball lying adjacent to one of Shayne's antique grandfather clocks. ========================= The entries were written in a mixture of elegant French script and neatly printed English. As Thad painstakingly flipped through the pages, he came across a diary entry dated near the start of the New Year. Unlike the majority of entries, it was written completely in English. December 31st, 2007As this year comes to a close, I can't help but think of Clara... Dear Clara.. What is she doing now? Where is she? Is she all right?
If she's still alive, she'll be about twenty-one now.. Twenty-one years old, and all grown up.. Would she still recognize me if I came to her? I believe so, for after all that we've gone through at the Rose Garden, it seems impossible that someone could simply forget..
It's really funny, isn't it? A person still remembers things that happened years and years ago in a far-off land hundreds of miles away. For the past five years, I've kept a journal about my experiences after I left the Rose Garden, trying with all my heart and soul to forget the horrors of that damn place..I can't do it..=========================== Oblivious to a watching Sidra, the two teens continued their childish game, running about like lunatics onto the thick plush carpet of the main living room. Sebastian stuck out a tongue in mock defiance at Fallon's attempts to catch him, standing directly opposite of her behind a red velvet couch. He faked right.. He faked left... Before rushing as quickly as he could to the right in an attempt to bypass his hunter. ============================ In the five years I've lived with Shayne, I haven't muttered a single world about the Garden.. Clara... Father Francois... Or any of the orphans..============================ Unfortunately for Sebastian, Fallon called his bluff, and was waiting for him as he charged forward from his hiding spot. With surprising speed and dexterity, the girl tackled Sebastian onto the carpet.. =========================== I first came to the Rose Garden at the age of three.. Imagine, if you may, a three year old boy thrust with thirty other children deemed "undesirable" by society.. It was scary.Clara was eight then, if I remember correctly, and took pity on me.. She.. Adopted me, if you could say that for an eight year old girl with no other family, and did her best to take care of me..Even then, I thought she was beautiful.======================== A dull *thud* reverberated throughout the room as Sebastian struck the ground, dragging Fallon with him. Struggling to get back on his feet, he was nevertheless forced back onto the carpet as the girl climbed atop of him. The torture started... Tickling! =========================== The orphanage was run by three priests of a nearby parish.. They lived with us, took care of us, and taught us.. Father Francois, Father Elois, and Father Cuthbert..
Like wolves, they would also prey on us..
I was five when Father Francois first took a liking to me... That's when the abuse started..
He would..... and... touch... there...
"Dirty Boy.. Filthy Sebastian..."One time.. He fucked me so hard I couldn't walk for three days.. Clara took care of me then, waiting by my side whenever she wasn't needed in study time..
She told me stories, fairy-tales, to keep my spirits up.eaglesandlions.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=backboard&action=display&thread=1202&page=1

Thad dropped the diary onto the desk as if the words burned. He fancied himself something of a rebel, always put upon by authority, but apart from his mother's marital infidelity his life had been sheltered and soft. Spending the weekend on the beach instead of going home was something of an adventure, far removed from the actual realities of homelessness. He'd never felt unwanted or unloved, and he very intently pretended that the only predators in the world were of the supernatural and animalistic variety. Complaints about authority figures were largely relegated to bravado, and were usually issued against actions meant entirely for his own benefit. Sebastian's world -- his real, private world -- was something he had difficulty comprehending.
"Some demons..." He muttered, shuddering. He attempted to rearrange the book carefully in the hopes that Sebastian couldn't tell it had been read. He felt guilty -- a sensation he wasn't used to feeling -- and he decided that the best course of action was to smother all guilt in an attempt to help the other boy. Vampires and Weres, and playing juvenile pranks against Hunter, suddenly seemed much less important in the face of the evil that Sebastian had lived through. He would begin rallying his troops as soon as possible, which meant the next morning as he was supposed to be watching after Fallon.
He hurried out of the bedroom as fast as he could, cursing the "ghosts" that had caused his fall and thus his current reliance of crutches. He couldn't let on he'd read Sebastian's journal; he didn't mind invading his sisters' privacy, or his friends', but he'd never expected to stumble upon such horrible secrets.
When he reached the others he tugged on Sidra's sleeve, "Uhhh, so we should prolly go home." He suggested softly, showing a rare social consciousness, "We wasn't invited over, jus' Fal was, y'know? And, uhhh, Roxy and Ezzy 'n' I, we gotta memorize a scene for drama, so I was s'pposed to go practice with them..." He lied, trying to come up with a reason to convince Si to take him home, away from any need to pretend innocence.
He held his breath as his eldest sister glared at him, apparently unconvinced, but then she nodded and he exhaled in relief.
"Hey, Fal, Seb, I gotta go do homework," He grimaced in disgust at even the idea of pretend homework, "So Si'n'I are gon' go home, so uhhh see ya at school tomorrow, Seb? Have fun, Fal, don't get into too much trouble without me!"
(OOC: Anna is still sick, soooo I'm moving Si slightly. She can smack me when she gets better.)

Fallon was thankful that Sebastian did not push her about being Bipolar. It seemed like when ever she told people, which had not been many people, they always had questions. Fal hated the questions. Especially since she barely understood the problem herself. She knew all Bipolar disorder, but she still did not understand why it made her act or feel like she did. Manic episodes, depressed episodes. It was all so confusing. A common question was how do you know you were having an episode? The answer, you don't. There were times to Fallon she felt normal, but she did not act normal.
Fallon had no idea about Sebastian's journal or that Thad may read it. Fal followed Sebastian out and gladly engaged in the fun game with him. throwing things and then tackling him. It was great. She had not had this much fun in ages. Well yes she had, she always had this much fun with Si and Thad, but this was great. Fallon was laughing so hard when Thad came back to say goodbye. "You are leaving...you okay Thad...you look winded?" Fallon asked wondering if her brother was okay.
She did not want to leave, but Fallon did not want something to be wrong with her brother either. She was worried, "You sure you are okay and don't need me to come with?" Fallon looked at Sebastian. "Although I would like to stay. There is still much of the house left to explore." Fallon suggested. "I will see you both at home." Fallon gave both her siblings a hug. "Just tell mom thanks for the reminder, but I am fine. I mean it." She assured her siblings. She would take her meds...she would remember...right? Then Fallon turned to Sebastian. "well you have met both my siblings....they are something right?"

"Positively." quipped Sebastian in agreement, springing up from to his feet from his lying position on the carpet.
Though he was sad to see Thad leave so abruptly, he also felt a tad bit of relief at the departure of Sidra, who had been glaring at him in a particularly vicious manner during his game with Fallon. Truth be told, he actually hoped that the glittering vampire-esque figure would leave as quickly as possible, and let him carry on with the rest of the day in peace.
He hadn't expected Thad to leave so quickly, though..
"They seem like good people, Fal.." added Sebastian, watching Sidra's car exit his drive through a window, "Especially to drive all the way here to check up on you.."
His thoughts wandered very briefly to the topic of Clara, and a mental image of a then thirteen year-old girl flashed through his mind..
Clara..
Feeling Fallon's eyes still on him, he immediately snapped back into reality, smiling sheepishly at his last remaining guest. Adjacent to the red velvet couch in the living room, an antique record player sat atop an ebony commode with a single record already inserted into it.
"You.. You remind me of someone I used to know.." spoke Sebastian after what seemed like a pregnant pause.
With a few steps, he walked over to the phonograph, cranking the wind up motor and lowering the pin to scratch the vinyl. A few seconds of silence passed, before a soft female voice began to project from the phonograph's brass funnel..
"I had a big sister... If you could call her that.. Once.." continued Sebastian, grasping Fallon by the hand and leading her to a relatively clear portion of the living room.
Say Where is my shame, When I call your name? So, please don’t set me free I’m as heavy as can be I will do you harm I will break my arm I am a victim of your charms
With surprising dexterity, he swept Fallon into a waltzing position, slowly dancing about with the girl atop the thick plush carpet.
"Well... She really wasn't a sister, sister.." he added after some thought, spinning Fallon around lightly, "She kinda adopted me when I first came to the orphanage.. Took care of me, and played with me.."
His eyes seemed to glisten slightly.
I want to be dead When I’m in bed I can be so mean You can beat me I would like to shame you I would like to blame you Just because of my love to you
"She was a lot like you.. and she absolutely loved to tell fairy-tales... Every night, I would sneak to her room and listen to her make up the most beautiful of stories.."
And Love itself is just as innocent as roses in May I know nothing can drive it away Though Love itself is just as brief as a candle in the wind But it’s greedy just like sin
Alone but sane I am a love suicide
"I'd always end up falling asleep before she'd finish though.. But I'd feel that, for that little instant, everything was all right.."
He paused in mid step, remembering the countless times when Clara's stories helped him cope with the everyday horrors of the orphanage life..
"I think.. You'd have liked her very much.."

Fal was glad Sebastian said her siblings were okay. She knew he would grow to like them. Although Si came off strong, he would soon see the funny, fun loving girl Fal knew her to be. Fallon just smiled as Sebastian spoke about her reminding him of someone. When she ended up in the waltz position she was transfered back to the early 1800's when they would have balls, and gala's. Those long puffy dresses and men in suits. It was a lovely dream in her head. Of course her waltz could use some work. But in her mind she was the perfect partner for Sebastian. In real life she kept tripping and stepping on his feet. "Sorry, I have never danced the waltz before." Although she was slowly getting the hang of it.
When Fallon saw his eyes glisten she touched his cheek and just gave him a soft smile, "The lyrics are some words. They are sad, but powerful with such meaning? Are you okay?" She wondered. She hoped so. She did not like when people were in pain. She wanted people to smile and be happy. "I would defiantly like anyone who told fairy tales. I love telling them. I sometimes make up my own stories. It would help me when I was younger. Help keep away my nightmares." Of course her nightmares were typical childhood nightmares. Sebastian's night mares were way worse.
"She sounds like a sister to me. Anyone who takes care of and protects you deserves to be called sister. I am here now, maybe I can help now." Fallon had no idea how she would be helping or with what, but she wanted Sebastian to know she was there. Fallon pulled Sebastian closer and turned the waltz into a slow dance. Her arms wrapped around his body softly, in a loving embrace and her head was on his shoulder. "I am glad you were at the park clean up. I could really use a new friend right about now." Fallon could not help but feel a tad more then friendship. But she was not the kind to push anything. So for now it was just friendship.
She smiled and looked up at Sebastian, "this is the most fun I have had since the Light house Adventure." She smirked, "Thank you. Especially for not judging me. I mean you could have kicked me out when I told you I was Bipolar. I don't tell a lot of people about it. Its a sensitive subject for me. The way I found out was because I was sent to a mental hospital for a few months the summer before my freshmen year. They diagnosed me. I don't like telling many people that, cause then I have to explain why I was sent there and in the end I just seem crazy." Fallon felt that comfortable that her secret came out. Although the secret was coming out the moment Thad mentioned Fallon needing meds.

"No, no.." retorted Sebastian, ignoring Fallon's clumsy movements, "You're a good dancer.. Just perfect."
A pair of surprisingly strong arms wrapped around his torso, unexpectedly enveloping him in their warmth. Within moments, Fallon's head came to rest gently atop his shoulder, her soft hair brushing against the side of Sebastian's cheek.
I like her..
Though slightly startled by the sudden gesture, Sebastian nevertheless allowed his own hands to wrap together just slightly above Fallon's hips, embracing the smaller girl with equal firmness.
The phonograph played on, and the two teens continued move about the room in their slow and intimate dance.
"I wouldn't judge you for that.." whispered Sebastian softly, resting his forehead directly on Fallon's. "Everyone has their own secrets... and.. well.."
He wanted nothing more than to tell this girl.. this new friend.. this person who seemed completely unlike the majority of people he'd met in the world every single detail of the abuse.. The overwhelming feelings of pain, shock, humiliation, and hopelessness that stripped a child of the very fabric of a human soul.
"Erm.." he mumbled, struggling with his thoughts. "N-Never m-mind.."
He couldn't, though... After all, who would believe his story? Would this girl still look him in the eye, after he told her how it felt like to be raped.. Forced upon by a monster every night for five years?
He doubted it severely, and decided not to say another word.
"I like you.."
A pair of lips pressed shyly against the girl's lips, making contact for the briefest of moments.. It was far from those Hollywood movie-star kisses that filled the big screens of the hottest summer flicks, hot and heavy with excessive amounts of romantic idealism..
It was the shy and inquisitive kiss of a small child, unsure and insecure in its motions.
"Oh.." muttered Sebastian, realizing what he had just done. "I.. I'm s-sorry.."

Fallon was enjoying the dance. This was one of those friendships that felt natural. She enjoyed it. Fallon just smiled at Sebastian as he told her he could not judge her or something like that. "You might not say that when you see me in one of my episodes." Fallon told him. "I tend to get a tad crazy, and it is not pretty." She felt embarrassed for admitting that and looked away. She had no idea why she told him, but he knew about the Bipolar so might as well be honest with him. He had to know what to expect. "But if I take my meds I am fine. Although sometimes I forget." She said in a soft voice.
She eyed him as he spoke and said never mind, "Well you can tell me anything, when you are ready. It's what friends are here for, and now that you know me, I am not going anywhere." She smirked. This was a friendship she wanted to have last. He was a great friend and he accepted her. Yes. Then he said he liked her. She looked at him and blinked. She did not get the kind of like he meant...she thought he meant as a friend...then he...he kissed her.
For a moment Fallon closed her eyes and gave him a soft kiss back. She looked at him as he said sorry. She just smiled, "No need to be sorry. It's okay." She told him in a kind voice. "I like you too...I mean we just met, so maybe we could take things slow or something...." She said. She would not deny their was an attraction, but dating was scary.

"Children.." A stern, yet not unkind voice called out from the shadows, bringing both teens immediately to attention. Shayne Warren, a formidable-looking woman of thirty-nine, stood casually against the wall, looking on the pair's intimate moment with obvious amusement. It had been a very long day at the office for her, and the sudden appearance of an attractive girl in her "son's" arms certainly was an interesting shift from the norm. To be frank, she hadn't expected this at all from Sebastian, though she wasn't displeased.. He certainly never did cease to surprise her. ShayneDespite her age (and the fact that she had never settled down), Shayne was an imposing sight, exuding an air of competence and formidability through her impeccable dress and style. As the CEO of a successful clothing brand, she had single-handedly raised herself from the dregs of obscurity to one of the leading business women of the corporate world, amassing a tremendous fortune in the process. It was perhaps due to this she was never able to settle down, choosing instead to adopt a certain ten-year old boy from a little-known orphanage in Marseilles. "Sebastian, darling.." spoke Shayne, smiling warmly. "Give your mummy a hug.." Flustered and slightly embarrassed at his mother's sudden appearance, Sebastian nevertheless hurried to his mother's side, pulling the older woman in a brief embrace and kissing her on both cheeks in a very 'French' fashion. "Je'taime, Mère.." "Je'taime, Sebastian.." The older woman glanced over Fallon's form, taking in every single aspect of this new visitor with the deepest of scrutiny. After several seconds of examination, Shayne flashed an inviting smile towards the teenage girl, extending a hand in greeting. Pretty girl.. Very pretty, indeed."Why, Sebastian.." spoke Shayne, grinning warmly. "You never told me you had a girlfriend.. especially one so pretty as this beautiful girl." "Erm... I... I..." Sebastian stammered, nibbling his thumb anxiously. Several phrases, all of which were in French, were exchanged between adopted mother and son -- Sebastian leaving the room immediately after with a noticably embarrassed expression on his face. "I apologize for my intrusion, miss.." spoke Shayne, watching her son leave, "The two of us aren't very familiar with having guests over, so our manners are slightly off.." Sebastian returned moments later with two glasses of ice water on a silver tray, one of which Shayne relieved him of with a perfectly manicured hand. "Ice water?" she offered, sipping daintily from her glass. "For Spring, it was an uncommonly warm day.." "Oh!" "Where were my manners?" "My name is Shayne Warren, a mother of sorts to Sebastian.. If you could call it that." she added, rolling her eyes in exasperation. "It's a pleasure to meet you.." "I take it, my child brought you here to sample my world famous rabbit dishes?" She clasped her hands tightly together around the water glass, hopping up and down in delight of having another girl around the house. This could prove very interesting indeed. "Or... Would you rather prefer something Mediterranean in origin? Perhaps a rack of lamb, then? Or maybe even fish.." "You're not vegetarian, are you?" added Shayne, eyeing the girl suspiciously.
