(ooc: this goes before Hanging on by a thread. lol. got a bit messed up)
Dénouement
Dare was totally grateful that there was no one at home when he got there. He knew he couldn’t handle Syn at the moment, she was entirely too good at finding wounds and picking at them until they were gushing blood. He sat down with Rufus and tried to put himself back together. But it didn’t seem to help, all that kept going through his head was Phil calling him a sinner and telling him he was going to hell. All punctuated by Annie’s crying. He pulled out his cell phone and called someone he knew and made arrangements for him to deliver some stuff within the next fifteen minutes.
Dare wrote a quick text to Annie saying he was sorry he hadn’t gotten a chance to get to know her and he was sorry the day had turned out so crappy. He told her about the stuff he had left in the shed at school. “I hope things get better for you soon. I would have liked to have been your friend,” he typed.
Next he began writing a letter to his father. “Dear Dad, None of this has anything to do with you. You have been a great father. I just am not strong enough. I have tried to make friends and have made a few, but I just can’t handle things anymore. I have been told I am going to go to hell because of what I am. What point is there in going on when there is only that to look forward to. Love is nothing, it escapes me. I do love you though. Please don’t hate me for being who I am and for my weakness~~ Dare.
When Danny came with the drugs, Dare paid for them with what he had left from his allowance after the clean up expenses. It was so easy to swallow the pills and just allow them to pull him into a deep sleep, one he hoped he would never wake from. He wondered if that was how his mother felt as she was dying. Maybe he would find out when he got to hell.
