His day had progressed so much faster than he had expected it to, his brother and friends had persuaded him to go to this clean up the park thing. It meant he had to get the limo driver to take him to the damn thing, because he wasn't able to get in his own car to drive to the event himself. What any one expected him to be able to achieve with one hand was beyond him, but he doned a pair of faded and wrecked pair of jeans and a t-shirt that had seen better days.
Even with the old clothes he seemed to be able to pull it off, he'd left the hearing aid on his bedside, he didn't want to lose it or damage it at the park. When the Car pulled up at the location he wondered how the hell he was going to find this place, he figured that he would not be the only one coming by car. So he figured he'd stand by the car and see who found him, then he'd follow them to the location. He got out of the car ipod ear phone in his good ear. Looking around to see what was going on if anything, he saw a few cars littered around the lot.
"Sir do you want me to wait for you here?" the driver asked.
"Yes, I have no idea how long I am going to be here for. Or for that matter whether I actually want to be here." Jade said as he took out the pain medication in his pocket and downed it with water. He had so much to sort out for Sunday that his mind was really only on two things. His sexy boyfriend and how he would make up for ruining there plans this weekend, and the damn party/auction which was now his own massive headache.
"You going for the ruffian look?" the man asked looking straight at him causing Jade to take the earphone out.
"I'm going for the I don't want to ruin good clothes doing what ever, seriously Mac you don't need to keep me company." Jade said to him the man took the hint then got back in the cab as Jade stood with his back against the limos passenger door. Taking his phone out he sent a message to every one in his phone book. 'help I'm at the event... someone needs to show me the way to where everyone is.' he typed then sent. Hopefully his sos would be answered some time soon, or he was likely to be very lonely on this spot until everyone decided to go back to their cars and go home.
"I could kill you Alex right now." Jade ground out loud.
He didn't lead a sheltered life by any means, but his life was busy with preperation for entering the business his parents ran. Jeremy got what little free time he had when his parents were home, okay so he went to what ever parties were going on. But cleaning up a park was a little beyond his norm. Where was his knight in shining armour when he needed one.

Well, Melodee thought to herself as she headed back to her car, that was a complete disaster. The first attempt at a merged effort between the environmental and Republican’s clubs had fallen apart not long after it had started. They had gotten a decent part of the park cleaned up, but not nearly as much as she, nor the others, had hoped for. The fight that had resulted between the deaf girl - Anna? Anne? Something like that - and Philip had been broadcast as far as people could hear. Word would get out, and she had a lot of damage control to do.
At least she had experience with it.
Rubbing her thumb, fore and middle fingers on the upper bridge of her nose between her eyes, the young woman sucked in a deep breath and tried desperately to rub out the brewing headache. It was going to take a lot of quick thinking and some major, major work to smooth this over.
Pulling her had away she spotted a familiar-ish face looking both lost and ready to work the park clean up.
The limo was telling, but made her raise her eyebrows. Not even Tyler rode around in a limo. Not that neither she nor he had the money not to, they just preferred the freedom and subtly of their personal cars. Shifting her course from the beeline to her car Melodee headed towards the boy as he put his phone back into his pocket.
“Hey. Here for the Park Clean up?” It was the only reason she could think of for him to be dressed as he was and riding in a limo. “I’m afraid there was an.. Incident. Cleanup’s over for the day.”

Jade growled when the girl told him the thing had been cancelled, it was out of pure annoyance with himself as well as Alex for not actually working out the damn thing would be cancelled. Jade really felt like hitting something as hard as he possibly could, but that would mean injuring himself some more than usual. As if he didn't have enough to be going on with, this had fallen through, he had put of making phone calls to certain people, now they would have to wait until tomorrow. Everything would now go down to the wire, this was probably why he would be best described as a raging bull.
"Great, it would have been good of my brother to call and tell me this had happened before I bothered to actually show up." Jade said it wasn't an angry retort, though his eyes were smoldering with suppressed angry. "Sorry its not your thought, I just have a few things to do before the auction sunday." Jade said to her with a frustrated smile on his face. "So what happened to make the school cancel this event?" he asked politely.
He hadn't really paid attention to what had happened at lunch, his mind was on other things, today had been one of those times that he had allowed himself to rely on his note taker for once, so he could make notes on what else he needed to do. It wasn't an incredibly long list, it was however a difficult one. The caterers were still getting on his nerves, the cheques were signed.

Arching her manicured eyebrows at the boy as he growled, Melodee tapped her fingers against her thigh. Was the world filled with emotionally driven boys at the moment? First Philip and his outburst against those of a homosexual nature, and now this one because his plans had been put on hold? He wasn’t the only one who’d had to do some quick and creative rearranging of the schedule to be there.
At least he apologized for his behavior and made notice that it wasn’t her fault, but another word piqued Melodee’s attention. Had she missed something important?
First things first, she’d answer his question. “There was an argument between two participants because of a misunderstanding. The argument turned into a verbal fight and more people became involved. It was a touchy subject, so there were tears and hurt feelings. I am sorry that your brother didn’t call you to inform you of the change, but Dare and I both agreed that it would be better if everyone just went on about their business.” She did not however, tell him that the argument was over homosexuality, or that a girl had cried and a boy had stormed off. No, there would be plenty of people tongue wagging later. Let it stand at an ‘argument’.
“Now, what’s this about an auction? Did I miss a notice somewhere about one?”

Jade nodded his head in understanding, so a fight had broke out in some shape or form, he'd get the low down from someone else later on most likely. "Ah now that makes sene, doesn't stop me from being annoyed at the severe lack of communication, between me and the guy who talked me into coming in the first place." Jade said to her. "Dare being a member of Gould I haven't met yet, you'd think that with everything going on and sharing schools. The status quo of friends would be broken more so than normal, especially after the events of the last few days." Jade added with a shake of the head.
Jade looked at her, "Obviously I haven't advertised it well enough, the auction is at my home on Sunday, all the proceeds are going to the families of the injured my own of course. I imagine what ever is left if there is anything left, will go to a charity or back into the school. That last bit would depend upon I suppose on my parents, and what they want to do with it." Jade said to her with a smile. "Something that I have recently been put in charge of, since my parents are now out of town until the end of next month." Jade explained to her with a smile. "Its an event for both schools, its parents and students, the auction is for the adults and kids with money to spend I imagine, and the party which will most likely be held under a marque in the back yard. There will be food and then there will be music, and some idiot will smuggle alcohol into the party. So I imagine that the adults won't be the only people getting drunk." Jade said with a huge grin.

"It's probably not that you didn't advertise well, but that I've been too busy to notice anything directly outside of my own schedule. For that I apologize." That being said however, it sounded like a wonderful way to show how much chs cared about other people and to flaunt how much better she was than some folks. That and she'd cleared her schedule for the afternoon thus had nothing to do with her time save go home and play the piano, which would be nice but hardly productve save for frustration venting at the present.
"Sounds like you've put a lot of thought into this and more work needs to be done. I know how difficult it is to get any sort of decent help around here when you want something exactly the way you want it. Perhaps," and Melodee smiled there, "I could help you." She was, after all, proficient in running things. Planning parties and the like was one of the things her mother covered on her show when she wasn't cooking. And sometimes even when she was. The Domestic Goddess in rivalry with The Martha herself was, after all, held up by her daughter. A fact that wasn't known by anyone outside of the family.
"As for the smuggled alcohol, they'll be likely to bid higher in a drunken state inflating their need to prove they're 'top dog' or whatever it is people vie for these days."

Jade eyed the girl, suspicious, and not sure whether or not it would be a good idea as to whether or not involve the girl in the planning. The one thing he had to get and soon was a DJ, the guy his parents had hiered for the evening, was old school music only. Not suited for a party of teenagers, they really needed a mix of old and new.
"I could actually use a bit of help, I had to sack the DJ for the event. The music was a little to seventies and not enough current music, my parents brought the guy on board when they were running the show. So if you have any ideas on who I can get in on short notice it would be good." Jade said to her with a smile deciding to take a chance. "Money isn't an issue, just the ability of the DJ to play decent music at all times. And a DJ that can accomodate every ones tastes." he added. "If you can help in that department or at least push me in the right direction it would be good, this party will be pretty darn horrific if it doesn't have a reasonable set of music. The adults can have the auction, and the kids with money to spend can have it, but we need music for out in the back garden. While people are eating the food, and probably getting very drunk." Jade said with a playful grin.
