So she wasn't much of a help during the park clean up. Sloane didn't do clean ups. She had a multitude of servants at home who did all the dirty work. Sloane was a brat and she not ashamed of admitting to it. It was not her fault that her parents were wealthy and they shared their wealth with her. She only came here to support Bree with whatever her next endeavor was.
As she soaked in the almost evening sun rays, she thought quite a lot about Bree's strange behaviour over the phone earlier. And the way she had put emphasis on Tyler was weird in and of itself. Speaking of which, now she knew she had to endure Tyler's derision when he finds Bree's absence from dinner. Sloane couldn't very well cancel on the boy. He had so generously extended a helping hand. And she was in desperate need of it.
Twisting her body every here and where on the bench she was occupying, her eyes roamed around the park only to rest on the exotic dancer whose pleasurable company she had had earlier that week. The sun hit her in all the right places. Sloane appreciated beauty and Maysan Paghishetsi was by far the most beautiful girl she ever had the pleasure to go out with. Even if it was just for burgers and shakes.
For a long time, all Sloane could do was look at her work with Bree, talking and laughing. And all she could think of was how hard it was going to be to tell her the truth. What May needed was at least a push in the right direction from Sloane to get out of the closet, be more comfortable with who she was instead of wasting herself away. And of course, Sloane hadn't had a girl for quite some time. The long bout of guys starting from Valentine's Day really put a damper in her sexuality. Sometimes, a girl needed another to make sure everything was working right.
May's innocence of course didn't help matters at all. There was just something about being able to be someone's first and Sloane was sure May was never going to forget her. At least for a little while. And if she screwed things up now...it just wouldn't be pretty.
A sudden shout snapped Sloane back to the present and saw Maggy Veloz's Asian friend start screaming at little mute girl Annie Holmes. Tears were rushing down her face and Sloane wondered what was happening. Frowning, the saw that it was already over as Annie was ushered away by a petite blond girl with outrageous leopard prints in her hair. What a weirdo.
Following the heated argument was the clean up of everything else and soon, Sloane found May leaving and she thought it was now or never. If she wasn't going to tell May the truth, the least she could do was milk it for all it's worth while she still could. A date with the beautiful Armenian couldn't hurt.

May sighed audibly as everyone dispersed, discomfort obvious on most faces. The clean up hadn't lasted two hours, but once those responsible for organizing departed nobody else seemed interested in staying. She couldn't blame them, though; it was difficult to pretend that Phil hadn't made Annie cry in public.
Tavit had dropped her off, since she still couldn't drive without adult supervision, and he wasn't expecting to pick her up for another two hours; she was essentially stuck unless she could get her parents on the phone. She pursed her lips, trying to decide if she wanted to stay and work alone or try and bum a ride from someone else; she hated having her schedule messed up like this, and she also hated having to ask other people to go out of their way for her. Unfortunately, it looked as though all the materials -- all the trash bags and seeds and shovels -- were being put away. She supposed she could attempt to pick up litter and just throw it in the trash cans located near all the benches, but for two whole hours?!
If Bree hadn't already left, she would have asked the other cheerleader; Bree was one of the few peope she would have asked for a ride. Rosalie Naples was another, though for whatever reason she hadn't seen the Silver student at the park. Odd, since Rosalie's favorite activity was volunteering her time to make the world a better place.
Approaching footsteps caused her to whirl, and her breath caught in her throat. "Oh. Sloane! I'm sorry, you gave me a fright." She smiled nervously, trying not to stare at lips that had given her a first, wonderful kiss. "It's too bad that everyone is leaving, I was hoping to get so much more done."

May's smile did happy things to Sloane and her own smile came as she slipped her hands into the pockets of her jeans. "I apologise...was not my intention." She said as an apology to her comment about her giving the other girl a fright. Sloane too was having a little trouble not staring at those pouty lips of hers. She was immediately reminded of how soft they were that night, how pliant and submissive May was in her arms...
Before she got too carried away, Sloane straightened herself up and listened to what May had to say next. Sloane didn't want to say the next thing that came out of her mouth but as always her mouth ran way ahead of her brains and she found herself offering to accompany her to get things done around. Everything else had been stowed away but they could still pick up trash. It was better to do it together instead of one person anyway. She just hoped May wouldn't see the act as too much an unlikely thing for Sloane to be doing.
She seemed to be doing a lot of that these days.
"Then after picking up the trash, maybe we could grab a bite to eat? Or...do something else if you're still up for it?" Sloane made sure eye contact was intact as she waited for May to reply.

May's smile brightened when Sloane offered to help her continue picking up. "That's so thoughtful!" She beamed, "I'd love to. It's just such a shame..." She hesitated, trying to decide how to formulate her thoughts, "that things ended the way they did. There's still so much park to be cleaned. I doubt we'll get it all done ourselves, but we can at least see how full we can get one trash bag."
She dusted her hands on the knees of her jeans -- she so rarely wore pants, but even the grungiest skirt seemed rather impractical for digging around in the dirt. "If...if we're having dinner then I should call Tavit and let him know I'll be late." She informed the other girl. "Otherwise he'll worry when he comes to get me," She brought her fists down to grab at skirt hemline that wasn't there, tense with nerves at what she was about to ask. "Umm. Unless...unless you want to take me home after...after dinner? Then he won't have to bother?"
She wasn't one for spontaneity, but she not only found Sloane attractive, but Sloane apparently liked her, too. She knew that Sloane had a reputation with the boys, but it was very difficult to credit that when they'd kissed so passionately

The smile May gave her made Sloane rethink her strategy only for a second before she decided to hell with it. She never had a problem with breaking innocent virgins' hearts before so why start now? Sloane needed to get over this...compassion thing. It was really cramping her style and it's making her feel very bad. Sloane shouldn't feel bad. Didn't make her look good.
"Oh well, you know. That's me." Which was a lie. Sloane was lying a lot these days. Another first for her. Granted it was a little white lie. She did have an objective at the end of the day.
It was adorable how nervous May was it just made Sloane that more determined to get her, if she were honest to herself which she usually was anyway. God, the girl was completely unaware of the effect she had on other people. Sloane was trying real hard not to jump her right then and there. She bided her time and told herself there was still tonight.
Nodding slightly at the girl's concern over transportation, Sloane slid her phone out and dialed her own brother's number. "Give me a second to see if I can't get my brother to drop the car here." Sloane said softly before getting Kiev on the phone. She moved away so May wouldn't hear her conversation with her elder brother.
"Bro...I have a gorgeous date lined up for tonight and I need the Lincoln. Think you could swing by and drop it at the park in say about an hour and half?" Sloane waited for the reply, knowing Kiev was probably with one of his girl toys. The throat clearing indicated that he was. "I interrupted something, didn't I?" Sloane smirked in amusement. "Sis, I gotta call you back in ten minutes...I'm uh...yup that's...shit...okay park bye!" Sloane chuckled and shook her head before pocketing her phone and whirling around to smile at May. "That's settled, I'll bring you home. You want to call your brother so he wouldn't worry?"
It was a novel idea to Sloane, having your brother worry about you even without you giving them anything to worry about. Kiev, Davey and Loch were protective of her for sure but unless she called or if there ever was any sign of her being in trouble, the three older Taylors pretty much leave Sloane alone. They knew Sloane could handle herself fine.
She looked to May for her response.

Making Tavit aware of her change in plans was easier than she'd realized; she'd half-expected him to react with horror to the realization that his baby sister was capable of spur of the moment decisions, but he took the news with good grace, not even asking her why she'd decided to change -- though she was sure he would inquire once she got home. She toyed with the idea of actually telling him the truth, that she'd spent the evening with a girl she liked. She wondered if he would be surprised or not.
Cleaning the park proved to be enough of a distraction from how attractive she found the other girl, and soon the knees of her jeans were smudged with dirt. She flipped a sugarless gum wrapper into the nearly full bag she and Sloane were dragging along. "Terrible." She commented, "There's a trashcan right there." She pointed indignantly to the brown plastic container sitting a few feet away. "I know you know that." She added, in case Sloane thought she was complaining about her, which of course she wasn't.
Her stomach took that opportunity to growl; she frowned down at it. "I didn't realize how hungry I was." She sighed, wishing that she could ignore that kind of physical need and just continue cleaning instead. Unfortunately, she would probably pass out if she attempted to spend even so much as one day without food. "What did you want for dinner?"

"Of course I know." Sloane helped lift the garbage bag that was almost overflowing. Of course, it wasn't as though Sloane spent that much time outside of the bedroom. She couldn't really remember the last time she had been under a shady tree. May didn't need to know that.
A smile crossed Sloane's face at the sound of May's stomach growling. She looked around before sliding a hand slowly across May's stomach. "Did you at least eat lunch today?" She asked, seemingly concerned. Sloane stepped closer only because no one seemed to be around. "We should get something to eat then." She remarked softly.
"I'm always up for anything really. But you're the one who's hungry now. I suggest you choose. Might make the mistake on our first date and end up not satisfying your...hunger." Sloane lifted her eyes to meet May's striking ones. "You have anything you want in mind?"
Sloane didn't matter what they ate, truthfully. What she was looking forward to more was what she predicted would happen. Their first date had been innocent. Well, at least as innocent as any of Sloane's dates ever were. If the first date had gone that well, Sloane couldn't wait to see what could happen on the second.

May put one finger to the side of her face as she contemplated dinner. She personally was fine with any place that had fresh salad, or at the least a nice chicken salad, but Sloane seemed to prefer more substantial meals. "There's a California Pizza Kitchen nearby, what do you think?" They had pretty decent salads, and some of the pizzas were tolerably healthy -- for a pizza place.
She tried to ignore the fact that Sloane was very obviously hinting at intimacy to come -- the idea intrigued her, but at the same time she was a bit nervous about it. If she'd known that Nolan had given Sloane his class ring, she probably would have flown away, hurt that the other girl could treat people so casually, but it wasn't as if she hadn't seen Sloane with him at Bree's party and it wasn't as if there were no rumors she was currently ignoring.
She almost suggested they get their food to go, but then where would they go? Her parents and brother would be at her house, and she wasn't sure what the state of Sloane's family was. So no, they would have to eat there and then contemplate their next move.

With May not taking to Sloane's apparent flirting, she moved back a step with a smile. The girl obviously didn't like public displays of affection so she should at least respect that. If Sloane was going to leave the girl later after she got what she wanted, the least she could do was give her as much good memories and thoughts about her as she can. No use scorning a girl by further giving her bad memories. There's no knowing what a scorned female teenager would do. Especially popular ones.
"That sounds good." Sloane nodded. Food really was the farthest thing from her mind right then but since May was hungry, she should just go along with it. Besides, she didn't have that big a lunch so an early dinner would help her stay in focus, she supposed. She thought that May was like a gazelle that needed to be tamed so she could be broken into. And that took time and effort, both was Sloane's strongest suits. She had an aim, she put in her time, results will most definitely be produced.
Her phone rang then and she took it out to see Kiev's name flash across the screen. "Excuse me for awhile." She smiled and walked away to answer the call.
"I'm here, where do you want me to park?"
"Just leave the keys under the car and park it at the entrance. Thanks Kiev."
"Who's the date?"
"None of your business?"
"Of course of course. See you at home later sis. Or not. Might have a party to go to. Have fun."
Shaking her head in amusement, she tucked her phone back and turned only to slide her hand into May's. "Shall we?"

Outside the California Pizza Kitchen after a lovely dinner May stood facing Sloane, hands clasped together in front of her, shifting slightly with discomfort -- not physical, but emotional. Her last date with Sloane had ended on a very nice note, and she was hoping that this one would end similarly. Perhaps things were moving along a bit fast, but she'd never actually had a relationship before, and acknowledging that she liked girls -- especially Sloane -- was exciting.
"Umm." She began, "Thank you so much for helping out today. It really...it really meant a lot to me." She unclasped her hands, reaching up to tug at the ends of long black hair. "And the dinner, too." How did people usually decide they wanted to go out with one another? Would it be too fast to make that decision after two dates?
"So, umm, I think we should definitely do this again sometime." She took a deep breath, face heating. She told herself she shouldn't feel so uncertain; Sloane had certainly appeared to enjoy herself, as well. "I was thinking, maybe you'd want to go to the Edwards' party on the third?" She suggested, hoping that the red-head would agree. She wasn't entirely sure what the party would entail, but she'd gathered that it was something that everyone who was anyone would be going to, which meant that as a cheerleader she was obligated to at least show up.
