“Thanks for the apology,” Cole said, nodding towards Jett. He glanced at Eden as she began to walk away. “Glad we're cool.” He gave Jett a smile and turned to catch up to Eden. Even though he was a big athletic guy, Cole thought of himself as a lover and not a fighter, more Romeo than Tybalt. But all thoughts of Jett quickly vanished from Cole's thoughts when he finally caught up to Eden and met her gaze. Sadly, she had to bring the topic of him back up.
“Eden, don't worry about it. I understand, the guy's like your big brother. Let's not worry about that dude anymore.” Cole grinned as he was reminded that he had yet nothing planned. That was okay for him, he much preferred to wander through life, experiencing the moments as the happen. But he realized that not everyone shared that view and some guidance might be necessary. “Well, we could grab a cab and get a bite, or just chill at my place. And there's tons of stuff we could do later tonight, but we can figure that out later.”
“Ah, see you got the easy job, being the muse,” Cole explained. “I just need to be near you. And the better you are at that, the easier it is for me!” He began walking very close to Eden, then gave her a light bump. “Careful, though. It could be dangerous if we get too close.” It was true, and Cole wondered if Eden enjoyed danger. He sure did, especially if it was with as pretty a girl as her. She was petite, and Cole seemed to be twice her size. Cole preferred that, it made him feel manly. He pulled his guitar around and began to strum various chords.
“So, whaddya think gorgeous?”

"Yeah, that's it," Eden said, thinking it was strange to hear Jett described as her brother, especially considering what Cole didn't know about Eden and Jett's relationship. But she couldn't exactly dwell on that thought. She'd deal with Jett later. For now, it was all about Cole.
"Oh we don't need to take a cab, I have my car here," Eden said. "I can drive us to your place," she said with a smile, deciding that that was the better option. She wasn't really hungry anyway, and the side of her that was attempting to be sluttier thought his place sounded more exciting.
"Oh really, that does seem pretty simple," she grinned as he walked close to her. "I think I can handle that," she said, nodding. "I will take it very seriously, I assure you," she smirked. "Here my car is over here," she said walking over to her white jeep. She unlocked it and got in. "So, where to?" she asked, looking over at him as he got into the car. She had a gps but she figured it would be easier if he just gave her directions.
She started up her jeep and pulled out of her spot and started heading out of the parking lot.

Inwardly, Cole rejoiced at the decision to head to his house. Partly because it would be much more private, and partly because he had left his weed at home this morning and the weird confrontation with Jett had him a little tense. If there was one thing Cole absolutely hated, it was being tense. Maybe someday he would find a nice girl that knew massage therapy.
He followed Eden to her jeep, stealing occasional glances at her. He was entranced, and he felt like an idiot for never noticing before. He had talked to her a bit, and they had both surfed the same waves together before, but today there was just something about her, something Cole couldn't put his finger on. Jett had mentioned make-up, but it was much more than that. Her attitude was different, and she seemed more confident. A lot of guys would agree that confidence can be very sexy, and Cole was one of those guys.
“I'm up in the Hills,” Cole admitted, a little sheepishly. He wasn't necessarily ashamed of where he lived, but a lot of people would never have guessed that his zip code was 90210. His clothes were usually worn and tattered, and not in the fake way you'd find at Abercrombie and Fitch. A lot of Cole's clothes had been on his body countless times throughout his high school days. He was often unkempt, and sometimes even unshowered. His parents usually didn't approve, but Sebastian seemed to enjoy his form of rebellion. He relaxed in the car seat as the white vehicle traveled down the road.
“My parents are in New York for the week, so I hope you don't mind if the house is a little empty. Usually I'd put some music on, but if you're going to, take a left here, if you're going to muse for me it'll have to be a bit quiet.” Cole grinned and looked over at Eden. The wind was blowing her hair all about. “Yeah, like that. If you're going to do that then it'll just be the sounds of my guitar. Hope you don't mind. Go right up at this light.”
Cole pointed a few more directions before the pair wound up at his house. Beverly Hills could be quite confusing in some areas. But eventually they made it, and as Eden pulled up the driveway Cole reached into the back to grab his guitar. He got out and waited for Eden before entering the house.
“So, there's a lot of weird shit that my parents got over the years, don't mind it. They're kinda artsy.” It was true, and as they entered the living room they were assaulted by an odd collection of art, posters, sculptures, statues, and just about any other manner of visual art one could think of. An old poster advertising a jazz club was hung next to a Dali print, which sat just above a stuffed crocodile. “It's an odd house. But I'm actually back in the guest house.”
Cole continued to lead Eden through the house and past all manner of odd objects and paintings, not all of them even appropriate for public showing. Cole's father was especially proud of a cast photo of an all nude production of A Midsummer's Night's Dream he was in decades ago. Finally they reached the back patio and walked through a large garden that ended at a smaller coach house. Cole opened the door for Eden. Inside was a pretty typical room for a kid his age, and one that looked much more normal than his parent's house. The only thing that stood out was a grouping of amps, microphones, and drums. Cole's place obviously doubled as rehearsal space for whatever musical project he was working on.
“After you, gorgeous.”

"Okay, cool," Eden said when Cole told her where he lived. She didn't really flinch. Sure Cole didn't look rich, but Eden knew better than everyone that that didn't necessarily mean anything. She knew that she'd spent most of her life in jeans and T-shirts that probably didn't look all that elite, yet having two incredibly famous actors as parents she not only had the money to buy whatever she wanted but also had free clothes from every designer getting sent to the house every day. It was what made her new decision to start dressing up a bit even easier.
And maybe where Eden lived didn't sound quite as glamorous as Beverly Hills, after all while Venice was by no means considered a poor area, it definitely didn't have the elitism as some of the other beaches, but the thing was, that was why her mother had chose it. Plus, they not only had a beach front property but the beach in front of their house was technically private, which was brag worthy no matter where it was located. Not that Eden bragged. In fact she hated admitting who her parents were, although pretty much everyone in school knew anyway.
"It's okay," she said about no one being home. "My parents are never around either. When we were younger they made this deal that only one of them would travel at a time, so like when my mom would be filming we'd stay at my dad's in Malibu and when my dad was filming we'd stay with my mom, but now that we're getting older they don't really follow that so much anymore. I mean right now my mom's actually back, she extended her stay here a week because of the shooting. I mean, neither Ben nor I were hurt, but I guess she still wanted to make sure we were okay, but she goes back to London next week," she said with a shrug. Her dad had called after it happened--he was currently Hawaii, but he hadn't come home or anything.
"Quiet's fine," she said, "whatever I can do to help the artistic process," she told him as she followed his directions to his house. She wasn't that familiar with the area, but she'd been through Beverly Hills before, for various reasons, so it was all vaguely familiar. Once they got there, Eden parked in the driveway and got out of the car, laughing when he pre-apologized for weird art that she hadn't even seen yet.
"Don't worry about it, it's got to be better than either of my parents' houses. I mean, they think art is framed posters of all the movies they were in," she said rolling her eyes. "And they wonder why both Ben and I want nothing to do with Hollywood," she said with a laugh, looking at all the crazy art as she walked through his house towards the guest house. She actually kind of liked it. Sure it was different, but it was kinda cool too. Way cooler than a bunch of movie posters.
Eden felt her heart speed up as they walked into the guest house...Cole's room. It was so weird. If someone would have asked her what he plans were yesterday she wouldn't have even imagined standing in Cole's room, preparing to be his muse for the afternoon. It was so surreal. Eden looked around, turning about as she took it all in. "So, what now?" she asked. "First step in being a muse...should I sit...stand...of right, I'm supposed to stay close to you," she smirked, taking a step closer to him. "This good?" she asked.

In an instant, Cole's perception of Eden completely changed. He had seen her as a sweet girl, fun loving, and completely innocent. He couldn't ever recall seeing her with a guy, though it wasn't like he watched her every move. At least, not before this morning. But it seemed like before he opened the door to his bedroom, Eden was a wide-eyed girl excited about being sung to who suddenly became quite a teasing little vixen. Cole smiled, despite the shock.
The pretty young girl was very close to him. He breathed in the scent of her hair, something fruity and girly. Cole loved girl smell, and he found Eden's scent irresistible. He reached out with one hand and placed it on Eden's hip, slowly pulling her towards him even more until their bodies touched. He leaned down slowly, his eyes reflected in hers. His lips were mere atoms from hers.
A loud, twangy bonk erupted from Cole's back. As he leaned forward, his guitar had struck the doorway, echoing loudly through the silence and completely destroying the moment. Cole chuckled softly and lowered his head, eyes closed.
“Sorry about that,” he said with a grin. Cole couldn't help but be amused by what had happened, and definitely not irritated. Eden had shown that she was a little more perceptive to what Cole wanted than he thought, and it seemed she was interested in the same. There would be more opportunities throughout the evening. He looked back up.
Simply seeing Eden's face brought the urge to kiss her right back. Cole leaned in to kiss her.

Cole wasn't the only one that Eden was shocking, she was also shocking herself. Honestly, she hadn't really known that she had it in her. After all, for the most part she was pretty innocent, or at least had been. Aside from her indiscretion with Jett, it was very true that she'd never really dated or done anything with a guy before. She'd always been the girl that the guys wanted to befriend, not date. But she did want to change that and she liked that Cole was noticing that she was actually a girl. It made her wonder why she hadn't made this change earlier.
Still close to him, Eden watched as he moved his lips towards his. She slowly began to close her eyes ready for the kiss that she was sure was coming when the twang of the guitar sounded, startling her. Her eyes shot open and she jumped although she started laughing once she realized what it was. "It's okay," she smiled, shaking her head, still giggling a little.
She stood there, still close to him, not sure if the moment was ruined for good or not. But as he looked back up, their eyes meeting once more, he leaning in again. Eden smiled as she closed her eyes and felt his lips on hers. The whole thing was still so surreal but in the moment, Eden didn't really care. She was here to have fun and Cole was a lot of fun. Once the kiss ended, Eden simply smiled, not really sure what the next move was.

Cole enjoyed the kiss like he had many, many others before. Yet none of those other kisses were in his mind, only thoughts of Eden dwelt there as the pair stood in his doorway. As he pulled away from the kiss, a smile parted his lips. He chased the girls for the thrill of the catch, and he was at the peak of that euphoric moment. He really thought it would be a lot more effort on his part, but he wasn't complaining. Eden was very pretty and very cool. And though his mind may change every day, for the time being Eden was the girl of his dreams.
His arms already around Eden's waist, Cole pulled her into the room then closed the door behind them. He slipped the guitar strap from around his body and rested it against a speaker as he led Eden deeper into the room, closer to his bed. Excitement coursed though his body and his heart began picking up its pace. He wasn't sure how far Eden was willing to go, but he knew he himself had no reservations about sex. If she stopped him, he would stop. If she didn't, well...
A remote lay on the bed, and Cole reached down and used it to turn on music. The sounds of an acoustic guitar filled the void of silence that had previously existed. No lyrics, just the guitar. Cole liked to record himself playing just about anything, perhaps to use as a song later on. He didn't expect to use it to set the mood.
Cole turned back to Eden and kissed her again, this time longer and deeper. As they kissed, he sat down on his bed and pulled her onto him. The more he kissed her, the more he hoped that she did not want to stop. There was literally nothing that would distract him from Eden this evening, and all thoughts of the earlier encounter with Jett had comepletely melted away. Only one thing mattered to Cole now, and that was Eden.
