A Good Evening for a Date? (Jade, Tag Jere)

He'd been back in the house for a half hour, his brother stood in the door way of his bedroom moaning at the fact that it wasn't fair, that he got to go out on a date tonight while Alex was grounded, it didn't seem to bother him that his twin was changing, it did annoy him that he was grounded.

"Alex if your not going to help me with ideas for what a normal person would consider casual then get out." Jade snarled at him as he looked over at his brother.

"It's not fair." Alex moaned.

"Yeah I know, but I actually like this guy." Jade said to him.

"And his at school?" Alex said to him.

"Last I checked he was sure, now his picking me up any time so stop distracting me." Jade said to the boy as he walked into his wardrobe.

"His picking you up." Alex said Jade's head popped back into the room.

"Yeah, you have a problem with that." Jade said to him.

"You haven't told him that you have a McClaren in the garage have you." Alex said to him.

"This guy is normal, and well his never actually asked me whether I drive, so it hasn't come up that I drive a car that probably costs as close to as much to his house as is possible if not more." Jade said to him Alex stared at the space left behind by his twin.

"You know everyone knows that your in the super rich catogory, Jade, if you don't tell him yourself his going to find out from someone else." Alex said to him Jade came back out with a blue shirt and trousers. "Casual is jeans." Alex said to him.

"Yes Alex I am well aware of what casual is." Jade said to him.

"So what does he have that Mike didn't?" Alex asked.

"You mean besides a personality." Jade said to him Alex choked back the urge to laugh. "His got a twin." Jade said to him. "And he doesn't speak to me like I am two, who can just about understand what his saying." Jade said to him with a grin on his face. "Sock draw, black socks please." Jade said to him.

"Your shoes probably cost more than what his wearing." Alex said to him.

"What is it with you tonight, Alex I'm not worried about him knowing I am rich, hell my shirt probably cost me more than his outfit, but what difference does it make." Jade said to him with a grin on his face. "Money doesn't make a person you should know that." Jade said to him as he pulled his sprayed deodrant.

"I'm just saying." Alex said to him.

"You can threaten him if you like, I mean if it makes you feel better, that is what you usually do isn't it." Jade said his green eyes dancing with mischief. "I think that the address I gave him will be enough to to tip him of, if not the fact that its a 9 bedroom mansion might." Jade said to him with a grin. "Information overload isn't a good thing most of the time." Jade added.

"You have a point I guess. Do you know where he is taking you?" Alex asked.

"No idea, all he told me was how to dress." Jade said to him as he did his shirt up. "So?" Jade asked as they heard the front door bell go.

"You look great." Alex said before leaving the room. "Do hurry up though." Alex said to him.

"I'll be down in a minute." Jade said to him.

Jeremy had a feeling of what girls go through getting ready for a date. Did this look good? Do the pants make a backside look big? He finally settled on a maroon button down oxford shirt, khaki Dockers, black socks and loafers and Ray Bans to complete the look. Not too cheap looking but not a I'm dirt poor look.

He went to his Impala and just sat for a moment, what does a guy take another guy for a present? Flowers were too girly and the florists were probably sold out by now. Candy seemed cheezy to him, 'Happy Valentine's Day now gain a hundred pounds!'. He shook his head, just keep it simple stupid. Buy dinner and dessert somewhere and if he wanted something more be willing. There was a slight arch of his brow, realizing how that sounded in his head.

He finally had nerve and programmed Jade's address in the GPS and set off, listening to the raido playing some weird 80's tune. At last he arrived at the mansion.

His jaw dropped.

Yes his family was well off but this was just amazing! He checked the address to make sure he hadn't arrived at the home of some faded movie star of the silent screen era. He let out a big breath and rang the bell.

Alex opened the door and smiled at the boy, "Wrong twin, he'll be down in a minute, his currently choosing his shoes." Alex said to him. "Come on in, it would be rude to leave you standing on the doorstep while you wait, he shouldn't be to..." Alex started but stopped when he heard footsteps coming down the stairs. "Forget what I said, his here." Alex added.

Jade smiled at his twin, "I'll bring you back a doggy bag or something, or you could just plead your case to mom, dad's trying to be a dad for once, you should see what his doing to our sister." Jade said to him with a grin Alex shook his head before leaving them on the doorstep. "I see you met Alex, the twerp is up in her room, sulking about not being able to go to some party on Saturday." Jade sad to him as an explanation.

"You look good tonight, hell you looked good this morning but outside of school is better than inside it." Jade said to him with a chuckle. "You probably have some questions, that you want an answer to, or would like an answer to." Jade said to him with a smile.

"I like the car, an impaler, I watch way to much supernatural." Jade said to him. "I don't drive a classic car, but I wish I did." Jade said to her. "If I did that would be at the top of my list, not the very top of the list, but pretty darn close to it." Jade added. "So do I get to ride in that?" Jade asked.

"Thanks." Jeremy said to Alex. Jade was right they were identical, he knew of several guys who would love to be in his position right now but Jeremy's focus was on Jade. He looked where the steps were coming from and beamed when he saw Jade. He had to resist the urg to break into some big old Broadway musical number as the other teen made his descent.

Jeremy got a kick out of how the two got along, it was an all too familair tune to him, only he had left before Julia and her gang took over the kitchen. And to think there was a third only a girl and being whiney about a party, seemed typical.

"You look great yourself," he chuckled. "Its amazing what a little soap and water can do sometimes." He had questions but it seemed weird being in the house and asking (or as others would say being nosy), he'd wait till they were alone with no family distractions.

"Impaler? Never heard it called that before but it is original." Good sense of humor, check, anything with Jensen Ackles, double check. They'd get on fine!

"Course you get to ride, I don't think the family would want me to either tie you to the roof and hang on or have you run beside the car, especially on the freeway."

"Any place you want to go first, you mentioned something about a pizza place earlier. I'm game for it."

Jade walked back to a well hidden room retrieving a coat just in case which he slung over his arm and walked back to the boy, "I don't fancy getting caught out." Jade explained. "Not quite cold enough for it, but if it rains it will stop me getting wet." Jade said to him with a smile.

"Well its a cool looking car." Jade said. "Shall we." he added.

Jade followed him back down to the car, before slidding into the passenger side of the car, "You mind if I program the sat nav, I have no sense of direction, we'd be looking for this place for hours if I try to direct you to it." Jade said to him honestly. "Its pretty darn greasy stuff, but a friend of mine from schools father runs it, and the pizza is excellent." Jade said as the car started up he started to program the sat nav.

"This isn't as hi tech as the one I got with my car, which is a good thing, you'd think that a high end car like mine would come with a sat nav that makes sense but no, and it never shuts up, I haven't figured out how to turn it of yet." Jade said to him with a smile. "There we go." Jade added as he turned to the boy.

"Sure thing, you can put it in the back seat next to mine." Jeremy replied opening the door for Jade. "Should it rain while we're inside, I'll get it for you." Who said chivlary was dead?

He opened the car door for Jade and waited as he got set. "Feel free, hell surprise me if you want to this is a night for you." Meant with all sincerity. He went around and got in and started the car the music was now some jazz song by Dave Koz. "I love this guy, sure he's old enough to be my father but still." He closed his eyes for a moment to enjoy the surroundings.

"Feel free to look though my CD collection, its only small lot from my collection but its what I like to listen and relax to." There was a lot of jazz, and a few piano pieces by his mother, and adult contemporary. As the song ended, an ad had come on the radio about male enhancement. It made for an odd situation then something caught his eye. "Ohhh yes, my another male I adore, Michael Buble. Thats if its ok with you, think a young Sinatra only cuter."

Jade looked at him with a cheeky grin on his face, "Jazz, well thats one thing we don't have in common, I am a rock dude, or techno on occassion." Jade said to him. "This may sound weird but the more it vibrates the better, low music with very little noise unless turned up to ear drum bursting level's is harder for me to listen to... I have to concentrate just a little harder to hear it." Jade explained.

"Your find stuff like Meatloaf and Bon Jovi in my collection." Jade said to him. "Concentrate is probably the wrong word but its close to what I am looking for." Jade admitted. "Michael Buble, I like his 'Home'." Jade added as he looked over to him.

"Do you play an instrument?" Jade asked him. "Me I play guitar and piano." Jade said to him. "I have done since before I became all but deaf." Jade said to him. "Our parents insisted that we learn to play an instrument, my sister is an incredible sax player, my brother used to play guitar but told our parents he didn't want to play any more." Jade said to him. "When I'm mad as hell, or nervous I play piano, normally before a swimming meeting or a wrestling one, it helps calm me down." Jade said to him.

"That makes sense, I know people that have total hearing loss can pick up the vibration of the music." The one thing he remember from Sesame Street, well that and 'The Ladybug Picnic' song. "Don't get me wrong, I have my rebelious side but it doesn't come out very often, thats when Van Halen or Green Day breaks out."

"I actually got to meet him a couple of years after a concert of his, he's short in person, even at six foot I still towered over him. He's quite friendly to his fans."

He turned his head slightly to Jade. "Piano and guitar? You're kidding right, thats what I play as well!" Jade had another positive mark for him. "The piano I didn't have much choice with, since my mom plays for the L.A. Philharmonic she wanted at least one of us to follow in her footsteps." He followed the dircetion that the GPS told him. "I understand that, there's something about the feel of the keys under your fingers and the sound that comes out, it just sort of takes you to another world if only for a brief time." They finally reached the destination, Jeremy's tummy growled slightly. "Jacksons? I love this place!! When Mom goes on tour, this is how dinner is made for us." He parked the car and got out and opened the door for Jade. "Shall we?"

Jade smiled at him, "Its not just the vibrations it gives, though you can get a car that has vibrating seats now, it works on crossing lines, it can detect if your deviating into other lanes on a motorway, and if you do it vibrates." Jade said to him. "That is a whole different subject though." Jade admitted.

"Thats pretty darn cool, theirs nothing better than a live concert, I went to see Bryan Adam's last summer, one of the best nights of my teenage life." Jade pointed out.

"I have plans to visit London this summer to see Take That, and if you tell anyone I told you that, I may have to hurt you." Jade said to him mischivously. "Most people listen to 'rule the world.' and they think its a great song, my family actually want to rule the world." Jade said openly turning to Jeremy for the first time since they stopped the car. "Greg Meyer's recommended this place to me, I think I spent most of the time my parents were away ordering from this place, it does great pizza. Not keen on garlic bread so your safe." Jade said to him with a smile. "Lets go eat, you can ask what you want to ask, you may want to ask what I drive as one of the questions, you may get a kick out of it, and it will be enough for you to ask for a second date." Jade said with a grin.

"There's only one reason why I'd want vibrating seats and its not because I veered into another lane." Jeremy joked. He hoped Jade would catch his drift about the seats, if not then not a lot of humor lost.

"Oh yeah, its always fun to see a concert in person. I love it when the performer messes up slightly, it shows their human and that they aren't perfect."

"I cross my heart." He did the motions, even though he hadn't heard of Take That, it would be one to check out sometime. "Well if they take over, remember me ok? Last thing I'd want is to be a servant boy, although if I had to pick who I was servant for..." He left the words unsaid and winked at Jade. Jeremy sort of knew Greg, not like they were BFF's or anything but when a celebrity starts attending a public school, then it makes the news.

"If I start asking questions, we'll never get to eat. I'll have to think of all the imporant things now." There went the sex questions at least for now. "I suppose first things first, what do you like on your pizza and what do you want to drink?"
