“Eight weeks, huh? Two months.” Eddie pondered this. It would be great to make all sorts of friends in the theatre at Silver, and the easiest way would be to spend a ridiculous amount of rehearsal time over a two month span where people specifically had to make themselves emotionally vulnerable. Theatre was natural bonding, and it was one of the things about it Eddie loved most. “It'll be fun. I guess, well, I'll probably feel a little awkward, though, walking in as a nobody and having the male lead. Everyone'll be like, 'Who is this kid?' Maybe. I don't know, I guess.”
Eddie had noticed the name Greg Meyers on the cast list, but didn't think anything of it. “Wait, you mean he is like THE Greg Meyers, from “The Young and Bold' or whatever that soap is called? No way! My ex-... my friend would kill to meet him!” He wasn't the happiest thinking of Jessie again. Mom had been providing an excellent distraction up until this point. Not that thinking of Jessie was her fault. Eddie pushed the thought of her away. “He isn't going to be mad, is he? Do you know him well? I mean, I know soap operas aren't Shakespeare, but I'd guess he'd have some modicum of talent if he's on TV. Shoot, I really hope he doesn't hate me from the get go.”

"Yeah eight weeks, its amazing though it all comes together in that time. For the most part the blocking happens after school till like five then depending on the part vocal and dancing is at night from seven to nine." She knew the routine by now. "Walk in like you did at the auditions and no one will say a thing, well only the ones who are bitter will talk, they always do." She rolled her eyes and shook her head. "I'll say this, we do like our parties. Usually we head out for pizza after a Friday night rehearsal, if you come to at least one of those people will like you more."
"Thats him, but don't go spreading it around. He's not wanting to draw attention to himself, I can't say I blame him I wouldn't want people hounding me all the time for an autograph or sign some part of their body." She shuddered at the thought. "I've known Greg for a month or so and I don't think he'd be mad, after all there have probably been other roles he's lost out on, I wouldn't worry about anything. I'll introduce you two."

“Wow, that would be awesome Marianne!” Eddie secretly hoped he'd meet someone famous while he was out here, but he'd always figured it would be a “bump in to” sort of situation, not a “I'm the lead in the play you're also in” type of deal. He took the last swig of his drink, which made him realize what he was doing sitting there still. His parents were probably starting to wonder where he was. “I'd like to meet Greg Meyers, thanks. And it was awesome to meet you too, but I should really get going. My parents have me running errands for them and I kinda took a detour.”
As if on cue, his phone started ringing a midi tone version of “Virtual Insanity.” Eddie pulled out his phone, and sure enough it was his mom. He held it up to Marianne and shrugged. “See? They beckon.” He silenced it and put it away. “I'd definitely love to hang out with the cast, I totally love all that bonding stuff. Maybe tomorrow night after the read-thru we could get everyone together somewhere? I mean, we can wait until Friday, but I'd love to get to know everyone. I guess I'm just too excited!” Eddie grinned, then stood to leave. He didn't necessarily want to, as he was enjoying Mom's company, but he knew he'd have eight more weeks to hang out with her and everyone else in the cast. “Again, it was really nice to meet you. I'll see you tomorrow!”
