Going stir crazy..Ezzie tag Any

[Ezzie Lopez]

She needed out, out, out. She had been couped up for days. School and back cause of being grounded trying to sneak Thad out of his house. Well it was here, finally here. The day she was done being grounded. The day she got her freedom back. Okay so maybe she was exaggerating how badly it really was, but Ezzie felt stir crazy and needed out.

So when Pepe left for work, Ezzie quickly jumped in his car. She just said bye, grabbed her purse and headed out the door. Her brother worked by the pier so she would be stuck there until he got off work, but Ezzie was good at finding ways to entertain herself and if not she could call Roxy, assuming she too was ungrounded. It was just nice to be outside. Again Ezzie was exaggerating, but being grounded sucked.

She got out of her brothers car and was about to race away when her brother stopped her, "Ocho, hermana. " Ezzie looked back and smiled, "Si." She said and took off. that meant be back at either. don't you just love how siblings only used a few words to communicate. She was skipping down the Pier through the crowds of people when she noticed someone drop something.

She quickly picked it up and tapped the person on the shoulder as the were walking away, "Con permiso. You dropped this."

He'd been so happy when he sat at breakfast this morning, his father had told him about the plans for the summer, going home to spend time with his little brother and mom was something that he wouuld now be looking forward to right up to the day he arrived at his childhood home. It was now saturday and he had his paper route money and allowance from his dad so he had decided to splurge on a trip to the pier. Maybe have some candy and do some game playing... he didn't plan on spending a huge amount of money.

To do that he would need a huge amount of money, oh well some candy and some games would do very well. It was warmer and drier than it had been the last couple of days. He jumped when some one tapped him on teh shoulder, turning to find that said person was holding his wallet and telling him he dropped it had him blushing. Thank god for people with a conscious, others may have ran a mile with said wallet. He tugged on his ear nervously as he took his wallet back.

"Thank you, I can be such a clutz at times... I'd lose my head if it wasn't screwed on properly." he said with a bright smile.

Dena loved a lot of things, but the weekend had to be near the top of the list. What kid didn’t love two days off school to run around and have fun, and ignore all homework until Monday morning? The only problem she could see with it was that with so many fun things to do, so many friends to hang out with, so many pretty girls to look at, so many colourful anime DVDs to watch, it was impossible to fit everything into those two days, which meant she had to pick and choose, which wasn’t an easy task when everything would be fun! It wasn’t really a problem, not a normal one, but to a young girl like her, it was most likely to be one of her biggest concerns this year.

The day was already in full swing when she decided to take a bus down to the pier, by herself when she couldn’t convince any of her siblings that hanging around her for a couple of hours while she got hyper from over-excitement was a good idea, oddly enough. Not that she minded though, she was perfectly happy by herself, because it generally wasn’t long before she saw someone she knew, or started making friends with people she didn’t.

It was busy when she arrived, which was perfect for her, crowds of people were always fun. Her stomach rumbling reminded her that it was lunch time, so she headed for the first stand she saw, buying herself a hot dog piled to the brim with all the extras.Walking away, she was about to take her first massive bite when she spotted a couple of people nearby, the girl she recognised from school, the guy she’d didn’t know. But still, they were going to be her new friends!

“That’s really nice of you, returning his wallet. Most people wouldn’t of.” Dena pointed out as she bounded up to the pair, waving in greeting. “You should get a reward for finding it...um...you can have a bite of my hot dog! Or a kiss, your choice.” she playfully offered, never one to be shy, eyeing her new crush in interest. “It’s Ezzie, right?” She then turned to the guy, still grinning. “I’m Dena, nice to meet you! The hot dogs over there are really good, you should try them!”

Mikasi pocketed his wallet making sure it was secure this time before returning his attention to the girls, "Nice to meet you Dena, I'm Mikasi but you can call me Miki like just about every one else does." Mikasi said to her with a smile. "Yeah I suppose any one else would have made a run for it with my wallet, or taken what was in it and handed it into security empty or something. So I am definitely grateful to you for returning it to me." Mikasi said it would have been very annoying to lose everything he had on him money wise. Especially when he was hungry, he woud have had to have gone back home and cook himself something. The hot dog Dena had in her hand was making him hungry and his stomach was probably one step of grumbling at this point.

"There that good those hot dogs then." he asked him with a smile on his face. He didn't recognise either girls, probably because they were younger than him and a year below or something but he didn't know them or anything about them for that matter. Dena's suggesting that the two girls kissed even if it was in jest made him blush. He looked at Ezzie hoping for an introduction instead of some awkward silence after Den'a comment. And was suddenly very glad he had darker skin for his blush wouldn't show up so badly.

"It is my pleasure. I can be clumsy. If I had tried to run, no doubt Karma would have stepped in and I would have tripped or something." Ezzie said smiling, "I would rather no make Karma angry." She joked. Just then they were joined by Dena. Of course Ezzie knew who she was. She had seen the TV show after all. Ezzie smiled at her and blushed at the kiss comment. She couldn't help it. The comment got to her in a way.

"I do agree with her about the hot dogs they are good, but I could just be saying that cause her hot dog smells really good and I am starving." Ezzie commented, "I can't believe I forgot to introduce myself, see I need my head screwed on properly too." She began to laugh, " Me llamo es Ezmeralda, but most people call me Ezzie" she said in her typical spanglish way. "Dena and I go to gould." She told him, perhaps he went to Gould, or Silver. The schools were merged, so did it really matter.

"Miki nice to meet you." She said smiling, "Let's grab a hot dog and maybe explore the peir. My brother gave me money and told me to entertain myself. I am glad I don't have to do it alone anymore. Did you both have specific plans for the peir or was it more play by ear." Ezzie too ordered a hot dog with the works and extra relish for her. She loved her relish. She took a big bite and was about to talk with her mouth full but remember to swallow, "Que bueno."

He nodded his understanding, the fact that the two schools shared property at the moment didn't stop the kind of divides between the schools from forming. Or the rivalry's that went on between the schools he supposed. It was a different to school back home larger numbers for sure.

"Oh I go to Silver, well technically I suppose I'm at Gould at the moment but well thats just pointing out the obvious." he said to them. "I've been at the school since the start of spring term." Mikasi explained to them. Mikasi grinned, "Yeah sure I could certainly use something to eat right now, so I'll take you girls words for it and try the hot dogs. After all what could possibly go wrong with having a hot dog." Mikasi said with a smile on his face.

"Maybe you girls can show me the decent places to go on this pier, like the best places to go to have fun and stuff like that. Because all though I have been in LA since January I'm still learning about the good places to go in town. And the best that the town has to offer is a complete mystery for this boy." Mikasi said with a grin.

He turned to the hot dog vendor, "I'll have a hot dog please." he said when the hot dog arrived he applied a bit of everything so it looked like a hot dog mountain rather than just an ordinary hot dog. "I think that should do." he said to them.

The blushes that crept over her new companions cheeks went completely unnoticed to Dena. She hadn’t realised she said something that could make anyone blush in the first place, so she wasn’t on the lookout for it. She however did notice (or at least imagined that she had noticed, which really was the same thing, when you looked at it) Ezzie smile just a little bit more at her at the comment about the kiss. Which could mean that the cute girl didn’t oppose that idea. Which meant, quite possibly, that Dena was in. Score! Then again, she really had much more experience with flirting than doing anything further on from that.

She laughed, probably a little louder than she needed to, at Ezzie’s mention of her brother. “My siblings got sick of me too! None of them wanted to come down here with me.” she told both of them with a grin, not at all bothered by this. It was their loss, she was going to have a great afternoon, especially after finding two fun looking people to spend it with.

Bouncing along as she followed Miki and Ezzie back towards the hot dog stand, she shook her head at the question. “No plans. Unless you count getting food, being loud and doing fun stuff as a definite plan.” she giggled. “So I’m free this afternoon, I’m all yours. This will be fun!”

She grinned all the more as Ezzie took a bite of her hot dog, seeming like she was really enjoying it. “See, I said it was good! They have the best hot dogs here.” Talking about it made her more hungry, so she took another bite, and while it normally wouldn’t have mattered to her, because the other girl had tried to be polite before, Dena did the same, swallowing her food before speaking again, eyeing off the massive looking hot dog Miki now had. “Have fun eating that.” she teased lightly, before eating more of her own. “Well then Ezzie, let’s show Miki around! You’ll love the pier!”

Mikasi opened his mouth as wide as it would go to take a bite out of the hot dog some how managing to do just that he smiled at the taste of the hot dog he munched it down before wiping his mouth with the napkin that came with the hot dog.

"Yeah okay this was a little over kill, but you were so right it tastes incredible." Mikasi said to the girl. "I like to have a bit of everything on my hotdog, always have. Back home when we'd have a BBQ or just an open fire to spit roast something, I'd have to over kill with the ketchup or chili sauce. Give it a bit more taste or something. But I'm only ever happy if my food is covered in some kind of sauce, well my fast food anyway." Mikasi admitted with a grin.

He smiled at the two girls, "Just remember to take it easy with me, I'm eating so anything that would make me lose my lunch should wait like half hour or something." he told them. "Well okay with this much stuff on my hot dog I will probably deserve to lose my lunch but I am keen to keep a hold of my lunch if at all possible." he said to them.

He took another bite from the hot dog seeming to defy the laws of nature to get his mouth open wide enough to take a bite out of the hotdog before returning his attention to the girls.

"So where to next." he asked.

Ezzie took another bite smiling at her two new companions. "My brother is working and my other siblings all seem to be busy, even my younger ones, so I thought I would hitch a ride come mi hermano and visit the peir. Good choice if you ask me." She said meaning she got to meet two new friends, which Ezzie loved doing. She lied friends. Sure she had her best friends Roxy and Thad, but one could never have too many friends.

"So your new Miki, welcome to LA and to Gould." She said smiling. "I would be happy to show you around. I promise to keep you off the rides at the carnival that's at the end of the peir. I can't go on them either, not after having all this. I think I have more toppings then hot dog." She laughed, "What about you Dena, care to be a tour guide with me?" Ezzie asked lightly bumping Dena.

"Well we could go to the arcade. I could play games there all day. They have skeet ball, and oh we could mini golf." Ezzie suggested, "ummm...there is a bowling alley, and lazer tag, so much to do, so much to show you Miki. This is gonna be fun." Ezzie did a slight jump smiling. "Come let's go exploring." She giggled motioned for her two new friends to follow her.

Mikasi smiled, "I've been here six months and I still don't know where everything is in this town, my parents seperated so I chose to keep my dad company when he moved away from the reservation to set up a hardware store in the town. My little brother and mom still live in Arizona along with the rest of my family, its been a hell of an adjustment for me but I like this town. I still miss my family but its cool here." Mikasi said to them. "You ever see my house you'd think that we brought the reservation with us, I swear my mom sends me care packages like every other day." Mikasi said to them. "I think she forgets that she taught me how to cook and how to operate the washing machine, or do it by hand if I have to you." Mikasi pointed out sheepishly.

"Oh well I haven't played any kind of golf before, so I'd be game to try that. I love bowling and I'm a guy so I would never be agaisnt the arcades." Mikasi pointed out to them. "So we should just pick a direction or something and head that way... we can finish these of before we start doing anything, maybe win one of you girs a cuddly toy or something." he said with a grin.

He took another bite out of the hotdog, "Jez you weren't kidding about these hotdogs I really think I have died and gone to heaven." Mikasi said to them.
