Isaac, Miami and I have decided to do away with the word count. However, we're giving players the option to decide if they would like their writing partners to match post length or not. Please post an answer here, and if you do wish for a post length match, give an estimate of how close a match you'll accept. (ie "within 100 words" or "about 75%") and I'll make a list.

Same, I try to give what my writing partners give! I never throw less then 200 words a post though.

I agree...I mean, I don't always expect people to match posting length, especially when someone writes something really long (which I know I tend to do sometimes) because I think it can be daunting. And I know I've been on the other end of that too where someone has like a million (and I'm not exaggerating or anything) paragraphs and I'm like...I got three.... So yeah, I say as long as I have something substantial to reply to, I am happy.

I don't mind not worrying if I have to find the last 5 words to reach 200 LOL but its nice to have a decent number of words back so as to be able to find stuff to write about in reply (wow - I think I even confused myself there!). 150 and up sounds good. But nu's right too... quality is more important maybe? Still 150 would be nice  Yep I want it all! Today the word count... tomorrow the WOOOOOOOOOOOORLD! |

I would much rather see posts with substance than long posts filled with trivium. but at least a decent paragraph is important.

The wordcount was superfilous anyway. Just about everyone has fallen short at one point or another. Just because there won't be an official minimum anymore doesn't mean we can't have personal minimums. I suggest putting your personal word preference in the side bar of your characters. Under the icon.
It's ridiculous to have a rule that isn't enforced. Rather, let's call the former official word minimum a word count suggestion.

I'm happy to follow what ever you guys decide on... but I won't answer threads with out 150 words in them thats just me... two good paragraphs isn't much to ask of any player regardless of their character count.
I'm willing to compromise on quantity so long as the quality isn't lost, we've built an incredible sim here so if we go down to people writing forty words we may need to discuss replacing the word limit... and for the record we had a forty word post last week.
